I purchased both Black Gold and Olive Branch, and would recommend this one for warmer coloring and Olive Branch for us cooler-toned gals. They're similar enough that you definitely don't need both. Black Gold is a nice smoky color, but I would have preferred if it had more pigment and if the liner was slightly darker than the shadow, as it pretty much looks the same with only one on as with both. Lasting power is fine with a primer, the included brush works well, and the compact is cute though dropping it is not recommended.

Colour is beautiful and blendable. The eyeliner does not show at all, but it’s nice on it’s own for more day look. Very easy to create smoke look,very messy It’s hard to get little enough of this, as even if you touch slightly with the brush it picks up allot! Overall – extremely easy for smokey eye, but not usable for other look. I will look for similar colour from Mac. I wouldn’t repurchase. I would be very carefull to not drop, as I did drop the olive one (not that hard) and for my surprice it's unbeleivably messy since. If anyone managed to make the eyeliner work -please mail me how? it barely shows for me!

HG! I love this shadow! It is a must have for nights out! I use this to transform ANY shadow color into a smoky eye! Just add to the crease, and blend! I'm pretty sure this will last forever, because I only use a little, but I will rebuy and rebuy!

The colors are beautiful, was pleasantly surprised to see how the olive tones brightened my brown eyes. But the minute I slid the compact from the protective cardboard sleeve, the shadows cracked (before using). Liked the cream liner; it's easy to apply and stayed on my skin (normal). Under this I'd used UD Primer Potion and my regular e/s from that a.m. I applied the darker lid color and let it sit for a couple hours. Upon first application, the color, while beautiful and unexpected, was strong and dramatic. Two or 3 hours later, the color had faded to at least half the intensity. Will return this. Expensive, $28 U.S.

What a fantastic product! It makes creating a smokey eye incredibly easy. It is an adorable little compact. The creamy eyeliner goes on very easily with the provided brush, and the powder shadow blends very easily. I am just thrilled with this product, and I definitely plan on getting the other colors. Just make sure you put powder or some sort of primer on before application, and it will stay perfect all night. My lids tend to get a little oily so, when I skipped that step the color slipped after a while.
