I bought the lovely last year and stored it away for that rainy day then forgot where I stored it (duh). Came across it month or so ago and tried in in crease of my green peepers thinking it would never enhance them. Gee-golly, was I wrong. My Saturnal glided on very smoothly with no chalkiness whatsoever and the payoff is great. Fabulous crease color that you only need a tad of b'cause it's so pigmented. Love it!

I love this shadow! Its a deep but subtle olive green. It makes me blue eyes pop and always looked awesome with whatever colors I pair it with. My only complaint is that its a tiny bit dry / chalky but the looks I can do with it make me ignore that fact. I really like it over a beige or golden base 9as another reviewer mentioned) also it really looks awesome with Moth Brown. Speaking of MB, Saturnal is actually the only new MAC shadow I have been excited about sinceMoth Brown came out.

This shadow is abit lacking in the pigmentation department... a base is a must! Also, it looks a little blah on me but when used with Beige-ing as a base it really pops!! Will repurchase when i run out though, as i love how it looks on my lids when used with Beige-ing :)

I have a hard time wearing blacks but this is like a dream for me - being a dark olive brown undertone. I really thought I should only have one of these, now I'm seriously reconsidering. However this isn't a VP so it will last a long time I think the consistancy is perfect and the payoff is super. And love the gold frost. I actually paired this, tonight, with quite a few different e/s's but all Moonbathe like. This looks awesome with Full Flame on the outter half of lid, Pink Bronze Pigment all over the lid and washed over Full Flame, then Saturnal smoking from the crease up into Bamboo w/ Claire De Lune highlighting the brow - in a simplistic break down (all MAC BTW). I enjoy this shadow alot and can only hope they'll repromote other wise I'd like to swap for another in the future. I have bright blue eye and a medium tan skin tone. PS this goes heavenly with Bamboo, and Claire De Lune.

I love this colour! I have green eyes and can not normally get away with green shadows, but this gorgeous brown olive is just perfect.

Limited edition release with the Moonbathe Collection released June 2007. It comes in a cream flip top pot with gold shimmer rather than the standard black. Its a frost, but you dont see alot of shimmer on the lid when you apply this. Its a olive green with gold hint to it. I did find the texture to be rather dry and this doesnt go on smoothly. Takes longer to blend but a light hand and a stiffer brush help. Looks great with the other shades from this collection so i am keeping it but the quality isnt one of MAC's best.

I was on the fence about Saturnal at first especially with all the board talk about it being chalky. I don't find this e/s chalky but it's not super smooth like Cosmic but they are different textures -- Saturnal is frost and Cosmic is veluxe pearl. Saturnal is a very nice crease and outer lid color that compliments the other Moonbathe e/s really nicely. The color is really pretty on and isn't as harsh as a dark brown color. I would buy this color again if I had the money but I was lucky enough to Back2Mac for this one. I also agree with the previous reviews that Saturnal goes extremely well with Claire de Lune, which I also find to be not chalky like other people say. NC40

I LOVE THIS! Looks so pretty with Claire de lune! I agree I don't see much frost to this but I wouldn't say its chalky AT ALL! Blends beautifully! My fave of the new colors! Its a deep olive in the pan, but almost looks more olive brown on my skin. A GREAT nuetral shadow! Its a nice change from basic brown and it really makes my green eyes stand out.

I agree it doesn't look frosty so much, but it is a very pretty color. I didn't have any problems with the application either. It went on very smooth, and it's very blendable. It also works great as an eyeliner.

I don't understand where everyone is getting "chalky" from on the boards. But then again, it doesn't seem frosty to me either. Just a lovely, olive green shade with minimal "sparkle". Love it! (NC-30 for reference)

From the summer 2007 Moonbathe collection, Saturnal is a pretty olive green with fine gold shimmer. Someone on the boards mentioned that they think the texture is not good--I haven't had that problem with mine--it blends just fine for me. I love this color! Respectfully submitted, colormepink
