Ok so I never write reviews but I had to for this one! I initially picked up this tinted moisturizer because I was searching them in kohls and realized "HOLY SHIT THE LIGHTEST COLOR IS ACTUALLY LIGHT ENOUGH FOR MY SKIN!!" Finding things light enough for me has been a real struggle and I've had to buy a white foundation to mix in with ALREADY SUPER PALE ONES! But this was a match made in heaven! Besides the fact that it has a perfect color, for a tinted moisturizer, the coverage is amazing! If you're used to heavy foundations, it will seem like a light coverage that can be built up with a second coat. I however, can get away with one coat and it covers my redness on my cheeks! It also stays all day yeah! Okay so I wanted to make a point about the price of the product. Many people might think that this is expensive for $25, but not many people realize THERES ACTUALLY A LITTLE OVER 2 OUNCES IN THE CONTAINER!!! most foundations/moisturizers only come with one so I was happy :)

I loved everything about this but the color. It is not sheer, and it has a grey cast that is not flattering on my pale skin

This is HG status for me! It is light coverage but can be built up to medium. It goes on quite matte even though it is a moisturiser, so it's perfect for my combination skin.

I love this! I've been looking for so long for a tinted moisturizer that is pale enough and doesn't have a yellow undertone, and this is it! I am a cool fair with pink undertones, and I use this in Lighter than Light. It has SPF and smells like sunscreen, which I don't mind. It does turn a bit greasy in my t-zone after a while if I use it with a moisturizer underneath, but a little bit of powder prevents that. It has a light coverage, which evens out my skintone but doesn't cover scars or pimples. I prefer a light coverage, so I don't mind having to use concealer over it. Would definitively recommend this for people with normal/dry/dehydrated skin, but I don't think it would work well for oily skin.

I was an avid fan of Cosmedicine’s Honest Face until it was, sadly, discontinued. After then I tried many TM’s, BB’s, and other face products. I find I do not like the BB’s cremes as they seem to make my skin look dry. Thought trials and tribulations, I found I do like a few TM’s, including TooFaced Beauty Balm and Stila TM, but theBalm’s BalmShelter is the most effective for me. It is non-drying, does not cake, and offers good coverage without it feeling heavy on your face. I apply it once in the morning and, generally, that is it unless I have a special event at night. The coverage does last throughout the day and it is also “buildable.” The coverage is sheer and provides almost a bit of a dewy finish, although it is very subtle. The product offers a good range of color. I use Light, although I could probably use “Lighter than Light.” The price is very reasonable against some of its competition. I use this in combination with TimeBalm primer.

Since I suffer from acne scars, I never dreamed I would be able to get away with wearing a tinted moisturiser, but this one is perfect! It comes in a much wider range of shades than other tinted moisturisers, which usually only have slight variants of medium. There are seven shades in total, from "Lighter Than Light" to "After Dark", so it's able to cater to a multitude of skin tones. It has SPF18, comes in a large squeezy tube with 64mls, and lasts a good while. What I love most about this product is that it actually has decent coverage. It goes on quite sheer, but you can layer it up to give your skin a very naturally clear look. On lazy days when I just need to run out of the house for a minute, it comes to replace my full-coverage foundation, and I just top it off with a bit of concealer over my marks. Since it's ultimately a moisturiser, it leaves my skin soft and dewy throughout the day, and has never caused me to break out. TheBalm isn't a brand that's available in New Zealand stores, so I've purchased it online from FeelUnique.com at £19.50. This is pretty expensive for a tinted moisturiser, but you can often get 15% off and free shipping, so I'm willing to repurchase for such a great product.

This is the best tinted moisturizer I've ever used. I initially purchased it because I was looking to replenish my makeup stash with more cruelty-free products. I purchased it in the lightest color, as many online reviewers agreed that it tends to oxidize a little bit. (This is true.) It has a wonderfully creamy texture, and it almost has the thickness of a bb cream. It applies smoothly, and builds to a medium coverage with just two layers. It provides a surprisingly skin-like finish, with no greasiness- just a healthy glow! The only downside is that it doesn't last all day; I'd say it remains on my slightly oily skin for about 4-5 hours. I like to set it with Sonia Kashuk's loose powder(amazing)and a little concealer over the top. Voila! Flawless skin that draws more compliments than I've ever received. I might repurchase this in the future, but I'm currently searching for a physical sunscreen that provides a little more hydration. I'll enjoy using the rest of it, though, and I'm glad I picked it up.
*This moisturizer is a reliable spf sunscreen with a factor of 18.
**Update: This product may be the cause of my recent breakouts. I've been rotating makeup bases this week, and using this tinted moisturizer less seems to have lessened my irritation. Whether it's the ingredients or the chemical sunscreens, I don't know. I still love it, but I probably won't repurchase.

This is a really nice tinted moisturizer. When I first apply, it makes my skin look really nice with surprisingly good coverage. Doesn't seem to break me out either. HOWEVER, I will not repurchase because I find it has zero staying power on my combo-oily skin. My skin looks amazing at first, but within a few hours I look greasy and my blush/bronzer is gone. I've tried this with a primer and same result. I don't recommend if you have oily skin.

Great product. Took me a while to buy it, seeing how it's 25 dollars for just some tinted moisturizer. I gave in and bought it, and I live it. It's more tinted than most of my other tinted moisturizers, but not heavy. Blends in so well that it just looks like my skin afterwards. I bought the Light color, which is good for pale skin. It helped to even out discoloration before I even added foundation. I wouldn't really even worry about foundation everyday of I didn't have time to put it on, this moisturizer gives a certain sheen, making your face look done. If you have more discoloration than usual, or breakouts, it won't completely cover that up, I would still use a little foundation on top.
I have extremely dry skin, so I very rarely powder my face. This moisturizer is great for me, because it gives extra moisture with foundation without caking a bunch of crap on. I like the dewy look, but if you aren't a fan of it, a very small amount of powder will mattify it easily.
Has the scent that usually comes with spf products, but not too harsh to where you have to smell it all day. It's actually a lighter smell than my Dermalogica one. If you have the money to spend, I'd definitely give this a go. If you are trying to be frugal, I'd still say to try it. The tube lasts for a pretty long time, and the tint or moisture doesn't wear off in a few hours like cheaper ones do, which is a pain of you are wearing makeup under it. I haven't noticed it turning orange on me like my Dermalogica one. Also isn't sticky.

Nice product: nice creamy texture, decent coverage, an extra moisturizing boost, and some SPF to boot. Pricey, but a much more generous size than most comparably-priced products you can find at Sephora.

If only I'd found an HG. Unfortunately there's one issue that will keep me from buying again. This product contains avobenzone and other chemical sunscreens. Now, I have no problem with chemical sunscreens on priniciple. They work very well and are safe to use. Sadly, my eyes just can't tolerate them. I want to be able to put my TM under my eyes. But if this gets anywhere NEAR my eyes, they start to sting and burn. I've started not putting the TM there and just relying on concealer. But even if I have residue of this product on my fingers when I apply my undereye concealer, they still sting. Plus my undereyes miss out on the extra coverage of this product and the SPF, which sucks.

If your eyes/skin can handle avobenzone/chemical sunscreens, go for it. I recommend this product. As for me, I need to switch back to a mineral-based SPF tinted moisturizer.
