I've been using this product on and off for about 7 years now. I try the new expensive serums from the department and specialty stores but I always end up coming back to this one. It only takes a day or two before I see the results which include much firmer, smoother skin. Really helps those fine lines stay fine and barely noticeable. Also, I have a few age spots and this is one of the few products I have tried that actually makes them fade away completely. It can be drying so I use it 5 days/weekly and then on the weekends switch to a serum that is much more plumping and moisturizing. I always use a good night cream with it.
I'm happy to say that I get lots of compliments on my skin even though I was a sun worshiper in my youth. Even though I'm approaching my 60s I don't need foundation, just a blush or a bronzer and a dab of my cover-up pen here and there. I think if you take the time and use the right products you can eventually correct a lot of the damage caused by the sun and acne. Just get into a good night-time routine and stick with it.

I'm 31 years old, never smoked, rarely drinks alcohol and has a very healthy diet. My skin has overall always shown the results of all that. However a recent period filled with stress left my face skin with some new wrinkles on my forehead and some lines around the eyes. I bought this product after some excellent reviews and my hope on retinol - got the product from Boots at the airport and tried the same night. Fearing a bad reaction I olly applied a tiny amount on the forehead. The following morning - after a 9 hours sleep - my skin looked better and the new wrinkle noticeably reduced. As this would be too soon to detect any results, I've been re-applying twice a day since 3 days. I'm sure it's a filling / lifting effect due to the cream, however you can tell the skin is improving every day since and I'm determined to invest in more products from the same brand.
The only bad point is that the skin looks much better without foundation as it doesn't mix well with the serum.

Retinol is one of the few proven wrinkle fighters out there. Sure there are trendy ingredients, expensive creams, and lots of other gimmicks but go with what works. This is an OTC product, so the concentration of retinol is lower, but I find that to be just fine for my sensitive skin. Personally I prefer the formulation of this product in the serum versus the cream. Runs about $20 at most stores, so the price is middle of the road. I have repurchased this several times and will continue to repurchase. It really makes my skin smooth and even, it almost seems to glow.

I'm on my second bottle of this, it's a great product at a reasonable price. It's definitely given me a more even skin tone, firmer skin, and a glow. Keep in my mind, it's NOT a moisturizer, it's a retinol product that has enough retinol to actually benefit your skin. If you find yourself peeling or getting red, just slow down the number of applications per week so your skin can gradually tolerate it. It will make you sun-sensitive, but you should always use a sunscreen and avoid the sun anyway - if you don't, you're just eliminating the benefits of this product.

I had to stop the Walgreens glycolic stuff, as it was making my skin peel and itch. I thought I'd pick this up from Kmart, for $21.99, and I'm so glad that I did! I Love the smell and it really has helped clear up my skin and keep it soft. Not BIG on eradicating the wrinkles, but they have softened, so it's a winner for me and my oily skin. I like the gold glass bottle and the pump. Dispenses very little at a time. Not very moisturizing, but it is a serum. LOVIN' it so far! Also, I find it firms my skin a bit. UPDATE:Guess this stuff must be working out better than I thought! At a recent baby shower, I was told that I had lovely clear skin. That was, indeed, quite nice to hear!

This may be one of like, two products that I would ever re-purchase! My excessively oily skin responds really nicely to this product and hasn't caused me a single breakout. I may have actually found a HG!

I read quite a few of the posts and was surprised that some posters felt it caused blemishes and had a strong odor. I didn't find either to be true. This is a serum and doesn't serve as a moisturizer so you need to add one after it dries. I didn't notice any odor and have had no breakouts. I find it diminishes my finer wrinkles and makes my skin smoother. I recommend this to friends who comment on my skin and will continue to use it. Very satisfied.

I've been using this for about 1 month, every other night. I did get some pimples but nothing too bad, no flaking was noticed. My skin looks pretty good overall but whether or not lines were diminished, I don't know. Kinda hard to 'actually' measure that! I will say that the smell is horrific! Not quite sure if I'll repurchase but I'm not totally against it.

I'm older than most commenters here. This works somewhat and is not as harsh as Retin-A from the dermotologist. However, the smell is unpleasant.

This is the best retinol serum you can buy at mass market retailers. I absolutely love it! Have been using it for a few yrs and can definitely say my skin looks great. I use one pump amount 5 nights a week and it has really made me look younger-my face is smoother. It is a little expensive-but I get it on sale to save a few $. I highly recommend!

The Holy Grail of serums! In one treatment worn under my night cream I woke to much firmer, brighter skin, and noticeably shallower lines around my eyes, forehead and mouth! I'm a believer!

This is my fav serum ever! I know I'm a bit young to be using wrinkle creams and such, but its best to avoid premature aging before it starts! This product has smoothed out all of the fine expression lines on my brows and forehead! Sunspots have started to already fade and I'm on my 2nd week. I absolutely love how my skin just glows after I use this, even after I jump out of the shower and have no moisturizer on my face my face is so smooth and soft. Also I haven't broken out once since I started. The price is the best part, this truly is liquid gold! There is a tiny stinging when first applying but it soon fades. Beware if you have sensitive skin though.

This review is for the Walgreen's brand equivalent of Roc Retinol Correction Deep Wrinkle Serum. Same stuff but about $7.00 less.

This is a FABULOUS product, but you need to know a couple of things about it or you will curse the day you ever bought it.

First of all, whoever came up with the directions for this stuff should be beaten. It says to apply twice daily, morning and night. Well most of you know that retinol makes your skin very sensitive to sun so you should never apply in the AM. Even if you applied this only at night it would still be too much.

I use this every 3rd night. Even with that I still get some minor flakies, but nothing that can't be moisturized away. My skin is far from sensitive, yet I can't imagine the damage I would do if I applied it more often than that. No wonder people get cystic acne from this - their skin is revolting from over use.

I can totally see why people go overboard with this. It DOES give you a beautiful glow and will improve your skin texture dramatically. You might think that if a little works well than a lot will work even better. Not so! Avoid the temptation and save your skin.

Also, you REALLY need to moisturize on top of this. Personally I like to pop open a vitamin E capsule and glop it over the top after the retinol has soaked in for about half an hour.

Use this product responsibly and consistently and most likely it will make you very happy!

This is a so-so decent product. I have oily skin so rarely use anything too heavy but really wanted to see what it could do witht the ugly lines on my face. The moisture effect was great but the pimples it brought on have been less than great. I will use it all but am moving on...

This product says it won't clog pores but it made my skin break out anyways. I gave it a full week and a half and my skin got worse and worse until I knew I had to quit using it. Immediatley upon quitting it started to recover. Too bad cause this product did make the unbroken out part of my skin more glowy if simply because it exfoliated. My pores looked a bit smaller too. It also did not irritate my skin (other than breakouts) and I used it over a pale indented scar I have and I believe the scar has more color and looks smoother though it could be my imagination. I saw no difference in wrinkles though I had to discontinue use before I would expect to. If anything, because it got rid of dead skin my wrinkles looked deeper. My skin usually breaks out when anything designed for acne prone skin is used so maybe I just can't use retinols.

I really wanted to like this product. I will make this short and sweet though - bottom line - this product made me break out in zits. I rarely ever have a blemish but this stuff gave me a lot at the same time. I have combo skin that is usually sensitive. If I ever react to a product its because I break out in a rash from sensitivity, but this made me break out in zits instead. :(

I bought this thinking it might be better than the deep wrinkle night cream which I had gotten results from but I ended up disappointed. It didn't do much for me, it stung a little and it felt unpleasant to spread onto my face. I always felt I needed moisturizer afterward. I won't be buying this again.

I've been using this for about two months and I was kind of disappointed because I didn't see any reduction in wrinkles that much. But after closer examination, my skin is much softer and even toned. Then I realized that I haven't had a blemish since I started using it. It's kept my face clear and bright. It's so worth it to me just for that. And I LOVE the pump! I'll buy again.
