I have a naturally red face and really dry skin, especially in the winter, and this product is a godsend! You have to make sure your skin is moisturized, so much that it is almost greasy, otherwise the product will not blend well. I like to mix it on the back of my hand with my extra virgin minerals liquid foundation from the body shop (which is super moisturizing) and then apply it to my face. It actually makes my foundation match my skin perfectly. I used to use the smashbox green primer but it usually didn't cover my redness enough. This stuff works so much better!!

LOVE! I didn't know I had some slightly red blotches until I dyed my hair red. That made them so obvious, it was terrible. This stuff doesn't make my skin look perfect, but it looks so much better. It does a great job of covering my dark circles, too. I no longer have to use a regular concealer. I only gave it four lipsticks because it feels kinda sticky when I put on powder. The brush doesn't glide over my face like it should after using a primer.

I am super fair skinned and suffer from acne and blothiness. I use this all over my face and dab it on my red spots a little heavier. Over it I use bare minerals and the difference is crazy. I love the combination and am so glad that I found something that not only works but doesn't break me out!

I have run into problems that some reviewers here have had, such as hard to blend with moisturizer, foundation, etc. YES it is a picky product it will NOT work AT ALL with pure gel products. So here I took off a lip but overall it's worth it. Because like other reviewers said, it took a little bit of time and patience to learn to work with it.
I am on my 3rd bottle of it now. My best friend used to work at ULTA part-time and she recommended it to me 2.5 years ago. She put it on my clean face and I did not need anything else - my skin was perfect wearing just this after moisturizing. It really is light and thin, but covers all of the redness and evens out the skin tone. It is kinda a matte finish but still provides a glow
My skin has been on its different phases during the past 2.5 years. I suffer from very bad allergy in the spring. I used it to cover the redness due to coughing and sneezing. In the fall/winter, my skin is dry and sensitive. I use a good moisturizer then use 3/4 of one pump of lorac on my face to even out the skin tone. It evens out my skin tone better than some foundations. For most of the time in the past 2.5 years, my skin was almost perfect except some redness or occasional breakouts so all I need was the Lorac neutralizer since I have fair skin and tend to rash easily and my t-zone is a bit oily in summer. AFTER this all over my face, IF i need more color/dewy finish, I use Lancome teint miracle all over my face. OR, when I have acnes/dark circles, I use lorac, then dab a little concealer(make up for ever, full cover) on the spots, then a little loose powder, then I would be nearly perfect.
And YES, I can imagine people with medium/dark skin would have problems with it since it "whitens" darker skin and will make it look chalky. But for people with fair-light skin, it will disappear on your skin and brighten it.
ALSO, I have found the best timing to apply it is when your moisturizer has just been or almost been fully absorbed. NO it will not cover the pores but it is a great neutralizer for uneven/dull fair-light skin. It does what it claims and it NEVER irritated my skin. And remember - How well it works highly depends on what you use under it.

I have had this for a week now and I think it is one of the best redness neutralizers I have ever used. The reviews are spot on about the products negatives - bottle is terrible (too much product comes out in a squirt), it is drying and the color would most likely not work for people who have medium and above skin color. I am very fair so this does not wash me out but I can see how it could. I have redness on my nose, top of the cheeks and this really gets it out. I just take a little of the product from the bottle (not the cap), pat it on and it does what it says.

On my nc25-30 skin this does exactly what it's supposed to - neutralize. I received samples of this and the Make Up For Ever yellow primer & this out performed MUFE by a long shot. I tend to get redness around my nose and the odd totm breakout & this tones down the color so I don't need a full coverage foundation and sometimes can even skip concealer all together. It really helps give a flawless finish to your face, but without having to use heavy coverage products for a much more natural result. It works well with the vast majority of foundations I've tried it with, however there are a couple that didn't look great over it, hence the one lippy off. The only other drawback to this neutralizer is that I can't see it working well on darker skin tones, but my skin rarely gets darker than nc35 so that is just speculation. I have been using it for a couple months now and have had no negative reactions. I highly recommend this for anyone with fair to medium skin with surface redness.

I'm NC20-25 and this does a great job of hiding surface redness along the sides of my nose, chin, cheeks. I also use it to tone down the discolouration on my eyelids and undereyes. I only need a small bit of concealer when I use this, and I sometimes skip foundation altogether. This stuff dries quickly - be sure your skin is well moisturized or it will flake. You can also mix this with a bit of moisturizer and then apply. It acts as an excellent primer, so I don't need my usual one. One lippie off because like all Lorac pumps this pumps out a little too much product each time and it's a bit messy. I squirt some into a sample jar and use it out of there, and replenish as needed. If you use the entire amount from one pump, you'll look too ashy. Great stuff, will definitely continue to purchase.

I've used this three times now. I completely agree with most of the reviews here - application is the key to happiness with this stuff.
I squeeze a whole pump out (havent found the pump too bad actually) and combine it 1:1 with my moisturizer. Spread that on both my cheeks which have blotchy redness due to mild rosacea. I blend it in little circles like crazy, because it dries quickly. First time I put it on I didnt blend enough and WOW...I could see every streak.
I'm fairly pale (NC15-20) so this colour doesnt make me look totally off. I do wear foundation over it (EL DW in Ecru for reference) and blend that with my fingers as well. I find this stuff absolutely corrects redness, better than any other product I've used. My redness doesnt peek through my foundation as it used to. And it makes a nice canvas for applying foundation, so I dont use a primer with it. After I put my DW on, I set with Laura Merciers translucent powder and I am very happy with my complexion, which I am pretty paranoid about due to my redness.
I didnt give it a five only because its expensive and NOT a miracle product. If you're really red, you will still see some redness. And yeah, you could keep layering this on, but then you would just have a new problem - you would be freakishly pale and greenish-yellow.
So if you have the money, and you'd like to improve your redness (not elimninate - improve) then I would absolutely recommend this.

I've been using this product daily for almost 6 months and am just now to the point where I am going to need to purchase another bottle. I am quite fair but tend to get some redness around nose and on cheeks and this cancels the red like nobody's business. Thanks to this product I use less foundation/concealer to even out my skin. The only faults I can find are that it can be a little drying and the pump bottle can squirt a little erratically at times which means I not only have to clean my vanity, but I've also wasted product. Overall, this product is worth the money and I shall repurchase.

What can I say besides you get what you pay for. Yes, this is pricier than most neutralizers out there, at least the ones I've tried, which include drugstore and higher end ones. BUT you really don't need anything else after trying this! I've only used it 3-4 times, but every single time, I am amazed at how the redness on my skin simply disappears! The thing that is holding me back on keeping it is the price, so I keep trying to see if I won't like it each time I use it - except I love it more and more each time. Needless to say, this is a keeper. I'm sad to part with my other concealers/tinted moisturizers/illuminators but this will last me awhile as a little goes a long way. Plus, I won't have to hesitate on whether it'll work for me or not. I'm Asian so very light skin with yellow undertones so this greenish yellow color worked great for me!

This product is unlike anything else I've used - either as a primer or neutralizer. Right when you put it on you can instantly see the redness go away. This is like a luminizing lotion/primer in terms of consistency - it isn't think, but isn't entirely runny. I don't notice any scent to this. This applies nicely and also instantly satinifies your face - I say satinify instead of mattify, because mattifying to me is completely matte and the finish of this isn't completely matte. The pump is good - 1-2 pumps will cover my entire face. If you have a lot of redness to cover, or just a few spots, this will do the trick, and work as a primer at the same time!

This really does limit "redness" and "add's" to that Matte look. I really like this in combo with the Lorac foundation. Would buy again. Little goes a long way...might be helpful on dry winter days to reduce redness, covers red marks from blemishes, and I could see it might be good for if you got too much sun and need to cover up a sunburn.

One of the wonderful employees at Sephora applied this product for me during one of my trips to the store. I was thrilled with the results and decided to purchase it. I didn't dislike it at all until about halfway through the bottle. I realized that I kept having to use more and more of the product to get the desired effect. Layering on so much blocked up my pores, and caused breakouts to my VERY acne prone skin. This little irritants I ignored at first (for example : The liquid shooting out of the bottle unto my makeup table or pants, or the sticking pump) became downright maddening while rushing through my morning ablutions. It seemed to add insult to injury that I couldn't get the last bit of the primer out of the glass bottle. I talked to the girl at the store and asked her if she had ever had any problems with it, and aside from the packaging, she had remained happy with it. Clearly, this product works for some not others : it did not make my fair, sensitive, acne-prone, combo skin too happy.

If you've had difficulty with this product, I highly recommend trying a squirt of it in a moisturizer or sunscreen. I add a full squirt to my dollop of morning sunscreen, use a touch of concealer where needed, and my acne-damaged and post-accutane reddish skin looks pretty darn good. And I've been around the cosmetics block a few times.
EDIT: I don't use this product anymore, but only because my skin has improved to the point that I don't need it. I found a phenomenal Zinc sunblock (Devita Solar Protection SPF 30) that has done wonders for my skin.

i have used this on and off for the last month and on initial application i really liked this. I basically applied this like concealer with my fingers and only applied it to the areas of my face that are red. It did a REALLY good job at covering my redness, way better then any green primer ever could. Since i am extremely pale, asian(yellow undertone) and sort of have a natural white-ish undertone, the weird yellow/grayish toned product actually blended into my skin and I didn't need to wear any foundation over it. I just used some transparent powder over it to make it last all day and it looked like i wasn't wearing any makeup but had clear skin.
Now to the cons. Although i really loved how easy and low maintenance this was, i feel like it really dries out my already dry skin and although not immediately, may cause irritation after a while. Also, i HATE the pump this comes with. It is not easy to control and the product flies everywhere wasting a lot of product. Since i would only need pretty much half a pea size to cover my redness (nose, cheeks, chin and around brows) the amount the pump squirts out is unnecessary. Also, this product is almost $40 CAN which in my opinion, is really expensive and we can't buy from their website either.

I'll admit I haven't read every single other review of this, but I read about 10-12 and no one mentions that this leaves your face sparkly. I was pretty excited when I first put it on, because I hate my ruddy face and it seemed to help the redness. I waited a little bit and when I looked again I am sparkling. That's not good. The pump is also very bad, gives out too much, like others said. It goes on pretty nice imo, and did a fair job helping the redness, but I can't use it because of the sparkling. Too bad.

I love this product!! I received it in a swap & I really think it works wonders! My natural skin is a bit red-toned (especially my nose which is usually more red than the rest of my face).
My makeup routine:
I apply Lorac Oil-free Neutralizer as my foundation base. This noticeably reduces the redness in my face and evens out my skintone. After that, I apply Clinique Superbalanced foundation. I find that I need LESS foundation when I apply Lorac Oil-free Neutralizer because it evens out my skintone quite nicely. I only need a bit of foundation for a nice "glow".
I definitely recommend this product! I haven't found anything that evens out skintone or redness like this product does!

Pros: It does neutralize minor-moderate redness
Cons: It is super drying, which is strange considering it's made for sensitive skin, which is usually accompanied with dryness. It accentuates dry patches, and the packaging is horrible... you can't control how much product comes out of the pump, so you always end up either using more than you need, or wasting product. This is a major con, considering the price of this ( about $40 canadian). I'm going to try and mix it with my moisturizer, it does say it works best when used with lorac aquaprime before. Maybe I'll try that out.

This is the only corrector I've found that actually covers my redness around my nose and cheeks without either highlighting the area or turing it grey....
I have suffered from severe redness for about 2 yrs and have tried sooooo many products (green corrector under foundation goes grey I've found) and this one makes my skin the same color so I can blush/bronze and highlight where I want it...
Cons...bit thick but I attempt to only pump 1/2 pumps, not very successful and its hard to get out once the pump wont pump anymore...
Overall I will purchase again as I've tried almost every other HE corrector and none have concealed my redness the way this one does...

If you have a ruddy complexion...
If you have issues with flushing...
If your foundations never seem to cover all your redness...
If you have red marks from post acne scarring...
If you just had any facial waxing and your face looks like it will never calm down.
This product is for you.
Especially for fair people.
It can be layered, and layered and layered and never looks heavy or cakey - it just keeps toning down redness.
I put 2 pumps into my daytime moisturizer and mix them together and then apply them to my face at the same time - to cut down on a step when I get ready! It really cuts down the redness - then if I need to target any specific area - I can just go in with more neutralizer - when I know an area would still show through under my foundation
It evens out your skin - like no "green primer" ever will.
It is meant as a corrector - so if you use it alone - i.e. don't put a sheer foundation or powder over it you will look ever-so-slightly green-yellow-ish --- but it makes your foundation look AMAZING - and you'll need so much less foundation - because this product has done all the work.
The packaging leaves something to be desired - but the product will have you coming back for more.
I will never be without this.
HG status for sure.
LORAC - come out with a different pump!
And ditch the glass bottle!
Otherwise - never stop making this!!!
