this is too pale and frosty for me to wear alone so i end up mixing it with other lip colours i wear. ive started dabbing a bit on my cheeks for a highlighted/blush effect and it looks stunning on my tan skin

While I can't say that I dislike this color, I can't really say for certain that I like it, either. Pretty pale pink with silvery shimmer in the tube, but on my lips, it's almost completely silver. The pink is barely noticable! In dimmer lighting conditions, this color looks super hot on my lips...kind of a "glow" more than an actual color, if that makes any sense. But in brighter light, it's just barely pink, mostly silver frost. I think if this color were a Lustre or Glaze formula, it might work better. This is a Frost formula, but IMO, it's *too* frosty. Also, it's difficult to apply evenly, because of the extreme frostiness of this color. It's also very dry. I've tried layering this over lip balm, and I've tried layering clear gloss over top - neither helps. In fact, I find that layering clear gloss on top makes it look even more streaky and uneven. It's too bad this color doesn't look as good in bright light as it does in dim light...apparently I can only wear this color in the dark! Grrr...

I love this lipstick! It's a cool-toned, light pink frost with a white shimmer. It lasts for quite a while on my lips and as it fades it tones down to a light pink shimmer that is less opaque. I'm NC15 and have very pale skin with pink tones and usually wear it with a neutral eye but lots of mascara. I bought a back-up tube of this after I got the first one.

This lipstick is the reason i will never buy a frost lipstick again. ive grown out of the frost stage into matte and satin lipsticks. the color of this lipstick is pretty which is the reason i bought it, but the finish is horrible. it manages to make my lips look smaller which all frosts do i think, plus its really drying. overall it doesnt look good on at all.

I don't have another color like this one. A true pink pearl. Frosty, shimmery pearlescent pink. Lots of pigment. I have a pair of earrings from the 1960's with pink faux pearls on them and this reminds me of those pearls. I would have liked this color a lot in the 80's I think. It's a very barbie/feminine color. I have NW15 fair skin and it's just 'ok' on my lips. Nothing spectacular. I find myself never wearing this color as I don't wear pearly pinks very often. Looks nice with Cedar lipliner. It's a frost and comes off as such. Frosty is the perfect word for this lipstick, actually, pink frost. Overall I'm not really into colors like this.

I hated this lipstick. It was chunky and gritty and the colour didn't work at all for my skin.

The color is simply gorgeous but I sadly swapped this away because it looked too frosty and silvery on my NW20 complexion:(

I bought this lipstick simply because I loved the colour of the models lips the promotional picture for the collection, and on the MAC site it said to use this (and other products) to re create it. So I bought all of the 'ingredients' to create the lip colour, and well, it didnt look very much like the pciture at all. So I through this lipstick to into my pile of lip products with no more thought, as it is a very frosty silver pink lipstick, and I dislike frost, becuase it reminds me of middle aged women who are stuck in a makeup rut and are still using the same colour as they did twenty years ago. However one morning, as I was hurrying to school, I accidently picked this one up from my pile of lip products (have so many MAC's and they all look the same) instead of the favourite of the moment MAC lipstick. I was gutted to see when I was about to apply that it was this dissapointment of a lipstick. But, being the pedantic that i am, I couldnt go out with out a bit of colour on my lips, so I lightly patted a little bit of this on and I must say, it looked great!! I wouldnt put alot on, because it gives me the dreaded silver frost, but lightly applied and patted well into the lips, it looks a very matt, pretty pink. I like it even more with a bit of glossy balm (Napoleon Auto Pilot lip balm for reference) over the top. I am so happy that I made a use out of it! Wouldnt buy again, becuase 1. its an LE, and 2. I think this tube will last me forever because i only use the tiniest amount.

Strange Hybrid manages to be both peachy pink and silvery pink all at once. Its a super pretty shimmery plumping effect. I can see this lipstick flattering a lot of skin tones, from fair to golden to chocolate! Its a decidedly summer time color but I also think it would be great with smokey eyes for a porny / Pamela Anderson look as well.

for reference i'm an nc25 even found out i can also carry C25. this actually reminds me of mac's LE gigglefest...but a pink version w/ silver sheen to it. looks great in pictures. looks chromelike or really shimmery in pics...but in person it's much more toned down, more natural looking. i already got 2 more backups of this. i can see this working for both cool tones and warm tones since both the pink and hint of peach balances it out. picture of me wearing it in my profile. http://img.makeupalley.com/1/2/6/9/693665.JPG

This is Bombshell's peachier sister. More neutral than Bombshell, Strange Hybrid is still frosty and still pretty pink! The color on me (NC 15) is reminiscent of Prrr lipglass, but frostier. Usually, I don't like frosts, but this one is nice, and I find myself reaching for it when I'm looking for a lipstick that works well with just about any eye look.

Looking for a pretty spring summer 'girls next door' sweetness with a slight sultry twist? This would be your shade. I'm a MAC NC30, Bobbi Brown Sand(warm sand), LM Sunny Beige with black hair and eyes. With my complexion, I thought this would turn a frosty barbie pink but I was pleasantly wrong.

The shade is a spring pink (slight rose creeps into the shade as it melds with my lip tone) with a subtle silver shimmer. It's not overly cool or warm so it's quite wearable for most complexions. The texture is quite creamy and the pigments are very rich. One swipe and the shade is quite apparent on the lips but it doesn't scream out "look at me". Even with 2 coats of this, it still looks quite wearable and perfect for nites out.

This shade looks phenomenal with a peachy caramel gloss. It takes on a rose nude/caramel shade that is quite sultry. Or to get a more sophisticated sexy shade, use it with burgundy lipliner underneath. It becomes more cool toned but the shade is a gorgeous deep pinkish bordeaux shade.

I have to agree with the previous two reviewers- this is a great pink lipstick! I, too, like MAC Frost lipsticks, and this one does not disappoint. This silvered-pink lipstick blends right into my own lipcolor so naturally & beautifully, I don't even need a lipliner under it. I just brush a little gloss on top for shine, and WOW! Strange Hybrid took me by surprise! I wasn't looking for a new lipstick, but it found me... and I LIKE it alot! :o)

I love this lippie from the Strange Hybrid collection! I got it B2M, but would have definately bought it had I not been able to get it free. It is a beautiful silvered pink frost shade, which IMO would suit a variety of skintones. The frost is very wearable and not over the top. I think this is a great summer shade and very flattering :)
