I have the shade In The Limelight. It is very pretty in the tube and goes on clear with very little shimmer. I like the smoothness feeling on my lips and has a slight taste to it.

I am careful with my "investments" in the cosmetic world so when I closed this gloss the lid went too far and now is at an akward angle. It is no longer on there as it should be.

Also, my light is starting to burn out. It flickers every once in a while which can be annoying, but overall it is a good idea. It reminds me of the New York Color Light Beam gloss (same name, hmmm)...and those are 1/5th the cost of this one.

I have this in "100 In the Mix" which is a pretty much clear gloss that looks coral-pink in the tube, no glitter. The plastic piece seperating the cap and tube (looks like metal, but not) is cracked and gloss leaks everywhere. I can't imagine why that happened, as I'm not rough with my cosmetics and don't just throw them in my purse. I now have to leave this on top of my dresser upright to prevent spillage, which means the fact that it has a built in light is totally useless to me. I feel like the gloss is uber cheap similar to what you'd get in one of those dollar store roll ons and though it smells like gummi-fruit candy makes the pretty packaging a waste as well. I liuke my lipgloss to have some tack and lasting power. Too bad because I love the light and the mirror. If the packaging were better and product inside superior this could be something I could just throw in my pocket and go.

Pros:
- The packaging! It's why I bought it! SO gimmicky, but I couldn't resist. The light is pretty powerful (a sort of blue-ish, LED light) and the mirror that comes with it makes it a pretty handy gloss.

Cons:
- Unfortunately, the packaging is all that it has going for it. It is EXPENSIVE if you don't find it in a bargin bin or something. I paid around 10 dollars US for this!
- I purchased the brightest color I could find, which was a glittery, bright pink. NO pigmentation. I don't need the light OR the mirror because I can swipe this gloss on goof-free!
- I hate the smell (plastick-y, synthetic candy flavor) and the consistency is very watery and even a little bit oily(?!). I feel like it doesn't stay on my lips and just migrates off them instantly.

All in all, I will not repurchase, even if I see it in the 1 cent bin, that's how much of a waste of space it is. It's not a repulsive product (gives a bit of sparkly shine) and it doesn't do anything bad to my skin/lips, but soooo not worth it. Looks great as a package, but feels very very cheap.

I love this and I think its all because I was suckered into the packaging with the mini mirror on the light on the cap. Regardless, I carry it arround with me all the time and the light has come in hand on more than one occasion! I have multiple colors and I find that they are all flattering, although you do have to reapply somewhat frequently. The only reason I took off a lippie is because I feel that the same quality lip gloss can easily be had for much less money. The packaging is what makes the product.

I have all of the shades but my favorite has to be Spotlight. There are only 6 shades: After Hours (sheer plum wine), Limelight (reddish-coral w/ shimmer), Spotlight (bright magenta w/ shimmer), In The Mix (sheer creamy pink), Disco Ball (light gold w/ shimmer), Strobe Light (white shimmer). No matter what the shade looks like in the tube, the color GOES ON pretty much super colorless. It didn't have a bad taste like a lot of people said. In fact, my favorite one, Spotlight, tastes a lot like bubblegum. It's really sheer so it doesn't have staying power but it does make my lips glisten & it moisturizing. I honestly bought these for the packaging alone. They're just so novel & unique. There's a click light on the wand applicator & a little mirror on the side. If anything, I can use the light to look inside my dark purse when I can't find my keys. I actually ended up grabbing for one when we had a power outage in the house! These are also very club-worthy!! (*THE TWO SHADES SHOWN IN MY PIC ARE "In the Mix" ON THE LEFT & "Spotlight" ON THE RIGHT*)

I bought it on sale at Kmart for $2, it lights up, has awesome flavor, but it doesnt last long, you have keep reapplying it over and over, it does moisturize pretty good. I would buy again if its on sale, but not regular price!!!

I liked the packaging. It lights up which is cool and has a mirror on the side. Gloss wears off quickly, no color. Expensive at 10.99. Good to keep in your purse for a light though.

Living in Canada meaning that we get cosmetics more expansive than in the States. I bought one at half price for 5.99 CAD, so it's not too bad.

Name: 800 Disco Ball

Description: Golden yellow based color with gold sparkles. Applies sheer. Press-down light, not too pratical but a cool gadget in the dark. The smell is faint but I like it, not noticeable on lips. Perfect for purse

Pros: Moisturizing - after 2.5 hours of wearing it, I don't find my lips to be drying.

Texture - watery texture not runny, smoothly applied. me love~

Cons: Short-lasting - The top watery layer wears off in about an hour. But the shine continues on. Woo!

My Verdict: As much as I love this, I find the gloss lacking something to achieve that 5 lippies. I don't mind it's short lasting, since I can't stand lip gloss staying on my lips for too long. Grab this line if you have the extra money, but wait until it's on sale. The original price (11.99 CAD) made me cringe.

UPDATE: I reduced one lippie. The gloss is fine. BUT the packaging is poor! After my 5th use, it just can't seem to shut tight, very loose, that I'm afraid the liquid might run out. Turned that was a minor concern-the white retrainer, where the wand reaches inside the tube, came out!! Talk about the horror, of the gloss leaking out and wastful of my money! Rimmel, make the packaging a little better.

I saw this lipgloss at ulta and thought it looked cool. I got it in "spotlight" which is a glittery pink color. It's cool since it lights up bright and has a mirror on the side. There isn't alot of color since it's a sheerish gloss but there's a little and it feels great on my lips. It also has a light fruity smell to it. I got this as a buy one get free so I would buy it again at that but for 10.99 it's pricey. Looks cool though

I found these for 50 cents at an outlet--can't beat that, but I would not have paid retail. The gloss has no color, it is kind of serum-like and has to be reapplied often. I actually like the texture because it has no stickiness. The thing that makes these cool is, of course, the light. Perfect for finding stuff in your purse, finding the keyhole..In summary, don't pay retail (you can buy a purselight or a little keychain light for less), but if you can find them cheap, go for it.

Luckily I got this stuff for free as a gift on ulta.com. If I'd paid for it, I'd be upset.

1. No pigment. none.
2. Not long lasting at all
3. REEKS. Blech!
4. Edit: I found the light. It could be useful in some instances.

I think I'm going to throw it away.

The packaging is definitely cool, even though the light kind of shines up your nose, more than onto the lips. This product is all gimmick. The formula is nothing special at all. I think it's a very cheap formula, which has no pigment at all. I don't even get the point of a variety of "colors". The shade I purchased looks like a pretty, shimmery apricot and it's clear on the lips. It feels and tastes like something you could pick up at the dollar store. Good thing the package has a mirror because you need to be prepared to touch up very frequently. Then again, with no color to it, does it even matter if you get it a little outside of your lipline?

this is probably the coolest lipgloss on the block. i love the light and the mirror. if only it were a little more pigmented. *sigh* i got the shade called "in the mix" and in the tube it is a pretty little pink that is a little corally...i think...well anyways it is really pretty but barely showed up on my lips, which are not pigmented at all to start with. a little sticky...just barely though..when youre applying it, there is a fruity/tropical smell that i love but it disappears within a few seconds. it comes w/ a sponge applicator which is fine. if it were a little more pigmented i would definitely repurchase. :]

This lipgloss is cool in everyway except the color is super sheer and it's kinda expensive for a drug store brand. If it had more color, I'd definitely repurchase.

I love this gloss. I'm a sucker for packaging but this one is actually worth it. Love the little mirror on the side and the light. I got the shade after hours which looks like a dark berry color in the package, but it is very sheer. It is thick and has a coffee-ish taste. I would buy again.

I'm generally not one for gimmicky packageing, but I have to say, this stuff is pretty awesome. As a lipgloss, it is just average. Sparkly and yummy, but nothing special. As for the tube, the cool factor is amazing. There is nothing like whipping this out in a low lit restaurant for a quick touch up.

I love how smooth and light this gloss is. It's not sticky or gloopy, and doesn't dry out my lips. I can wear it over my lip stain without worrying about it basically exfoliating the lip stain off. The packaging is cool, but a little gimmicky, and i don't like how Rimmel probably used the packaging as an excuse to jack the price up by a few bucks. Seriously, paying 11 bucks for a store brand gloss is a little sketchy. However, now that i own it, i would definitely purchase this over other high end products i have purchased.
