I recently got this color at Dollar Tree because it looked gorgeous in the bottle!! But when in I got home the formula is very watery and it does take 3 -4 coats to become opaque. But, my gosh, it really is gorgeous! I love the shimmery green! And for $1 I got what I paid for. So while the formula is a bit bad I love the color! I agree with those who say it takes forever to dry without a fast drying topcoat. I also use a black base before applying so I won't have to apply as many coats. I would buy this color again because it was so inexpensive!

This polish is a pretty close dupe for Finger Paints Sketch 'n Etch. The difference is, San Francisco by Sinful needs four coats to be opaque, whereas Sketch 'n Etch needs two, or at the most three.

Also, like another person said below, San Francisco NEVER seems to dry. Like her, I finished my last coat HOURS before bed, but woke up with sheet marks. I'll stick with the Finger Paints.

I have a love-hate relationship with this polish. The color is awesome and in the bottle it's probably my most favorite of the Sinful Colors line. However I have yet to get it to apply true to the bottle - it always turns out a lighter and brighter more kelly green as some other reviewers have pointed out.

The application was average. It was a bit on the runny side and I had a problem with some bubbling if I didn't let each coat dry 100% which took about 10 minutes each and I consider that to be a bit much. It took 3 coats to achieve an opaque color. I also noticed that while it didn't chip it had a tendency to pull away from the tips of my nails.

I still gave it a 4 because it has become one of my favorite pedicure polishes, and it surprisingly, never leaves any staining and looks pretty awesome layered over black.

I've been looking for a rich, foresty green nail polish for ages. All the ones I've tried before have ended up as disasters. But this one is honestly the prettiest green nail polish I've ever seen.

It's noticeable and pretty without being too out there, which is exactly what I like.

I'm only giving it a four out of five because the formula itself isn't that great. The polish itself almost has the consistency of water, and it's very streaky when you first put it on. You have to give it a good three to four coats to bring out its full potential, maybe even five, just to be safe.

Like most Sinful polishes, it starts to chip a bit after a few days, so I'd find a good top coat to protect it with.

As a sidenote, it's definitely not as dark as it looks in the bottle, which unfortunately is what I was really hoping for. But it's still beautiful, regardless.

This color is terrific! I've never worn any color before this one that gets compliments EVERYWHERE I go! I have friends who only wear 'traditional' and safe colors - they loved this when they saw it! A few times while shopping, women who saw my hands stopped me and said my nails looked great! Even one man, when I was shopping for plumbing stuff at the home center store, told me my nails looked nice! This is a beautiful, striking green polish that doesn't look outlandish! I have never finished a whole bottle of nail polish, so I would buy again if I ever broke the bottle.

I love a green that brings out my skin tone without washing it out and this is what this jewel tone did. It's a perfect emerald green in my opinion because it tilts towards a very subtle blue while being stubbornly rich and yellow toned green; just like emeralds. I'd call this polish Esmeralda for accuracy if I was given naming rights. The bright green shimmer is the stunner in this base and like most shimmers, I had an easy time with application. It covered in two coats, but I wanted three coats for perfect shimmer depth. If you get a thicker formula in your bottle, just add a few drops of thinner and voila, awesomeness!

I got this green to try after finding that WnW Sagreena the Teenage witch (exact same shade as this) was a horrible horrible formula. This one turned out much better. Opaque in 2 coats whereas the other was a nightmare....many more coats than 2...like I ridic amount to get the bottle shade. It dried in a normal amount of time unlike WnW which took forever to dry despite its "fast dry" name on its bottle. Between the two bargain dark green shimmer polishes, Sinful is the winner in my book. WnW needs to go in the garbage.

Pretty, shiny emerald green. The formula is hard to work with - streaky, and slow to dry. I don't use it that often, but it does look nice when I can take the time to make it look right. I wouldn't repurchase.

While it doesn't exactly make me think of the loving and charming city of San Francisco, it's still a gorgeous, shimmering deep bold emerald green. It's pretty versatile, whether it's St. Patrick's Day or Christmas, or even for when you're kinda celebrating the fact that the sorting hat put you into Slytherin (house colors: green & silver) on Pottermore. (Yes, I did the latter. Yes, I am a huge nerd. No, I'm not ashamed.) Anyway, it's probably not my absolute favorite shade of green in the world, but it's a nice break from all the summer brights/neons and pastels and flakies and what have you. It's classic, solid, and a good polish to have in your collection if green is your thing. Two coats, shiny, lovely shimmer, dirt cheap.

San Francisco isn't as dark on the nails as it is in the bottle. Even with four coats, I got a bright shamrock green shade. I guess it will be perfect for St. Patricks Day. SF has tiny green shimmer in it. I was a bit taken back of how long this np dried. I own other Sinful colors and they dry a lot faster then SF. I waited three hours before going to bed. When I woke up, my nails were hazy and a bit scuffed. I had to reapply another layer of top coat to make them shiny again.

I was so drawn to this deep, rich, jewel-tone green, I finally picked it up during a Walgreens sale. In the bottle, it looks like a metallic green, but on the nails, the green-blue shimmer becomes a lot more apparent. However, it was so much sheerer than I expected, a good 3 coats before it was opaque.

I think I may have picked up a bad or old bottle from the store because this polish never dried on my nails. Even after painting them a few hours before bed and then going to sleep the polish came off on my sheets overnight and was still sticky in the morning. Don't know what happened because I have another color from this brand that did work. It's really too bad because I love the color and the name. Hopefully they have better quality control over at Sinful these days to avoid such awful products hitting store shelves.

Beautiful primary green color - great for the holidays! I topped it with a white crackle and then used Sinful Colors Call You Later (greenish yellow glitter) over it all and it paired great with the Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar, white crackle and OPI Sparkle My Mistletoe. If you're looking for a true green, this polish is worth more than its price (cheap cheap cheap on sale for $1.17!)

I bought this because I had wanted a dark, regular green color. And since I'm a big fan of Sinful Colors I knew when I picked this up I wouldn't be dissapointed.
Well, when I put it on my nails, It came off pretty shear, and I don't have a problem with that, but the problem is that I already have another color pretty close to it- my Wet N Wild Fast Dry in Sagrena the Teenage Witch.
But this is a bit darker, and more shimmery, than WNW.
I would re-purchase, but only if I ran out of BOTH polishes.

I am a big fan of Sinful nail polishes. They are one of my top nail polish brands. I love each and every one of their colors, if only I owned them all! Lol. This color is a good color. It's a dark, sleek, sexy green instead of a bright pea or lime green. It has a touch of black shift. It's a great toe nail color, but I rarely wear it on my finger nails, which is why I said I would not repurchase. Other than that it is a good color, good quality polish that lasts long. The color is just not really an everyday wear color. I purchased this when I was in a more daring phase. I think I might break it out around the holidays, though.

Other than wearing this for St. Patrick's Day as others mentioned, I do not like this color at all. HOWEVER, put it over black and you have the most beautiful deep green with my always favorite microglitter! I probably would not repurchase this, but while I have it, I'll put it over black for sure.

I love, love, love this color. I never really was into greens and blues on my nails until I tried this color. I was looking for a true emerald green for St. Patrick's Day and this color is gorgeous for that. It's so shimmery and sparkly but without the coarseness of glitter. It really flatters my pale fair skin. I had to use several coats to get the color to look as great as it does in the bottle. It lasted as long as more expensive polishes on my fingers before it chipped. I don't use a basecoat with it and it doesn't stain my nails or fingers when removing like very dark reds do. As with all shimmery polishes, it needs to be applied slowly with care so that it doesn't streak. It's so inexpensive at Walgreens and even more so when it's on sale. I can't wait to experiment more with the very wide variety of colors in this line.

Beautiful vibrant green. Love the color, its just not really a color I wear all that often, so I probably wouldn't purchase again. One coat was opaque - a second coat bumps up the color intensity. Formulas was a touch watery.

Im almost out of this nail polish i love it its almost time to buy a new one . one thing to keep in mind or at least in my case this nail polish stains!!! i had to learn the hard way i was kinda asking for it the color is pretty dark should of seen it coming. But with a base coat it should be fine. Stain or no stain i'll be buying this again.... stains just aren't a turn off to me :D it just gives me an excuse to try out other colors to cover up the stain

After buying my second bottle of Sinful today in Let Me Go, I thought I'd better review this one, too.

I was looking for the perfect green to wear for St. Patrick's Day several years ago and came upon San Francisco at Walgreens. I absolutely love this color. It was so cheap but at the time, I was having silk put on my nails anyway, so, I knew it didn't really matter. Silk will hold anything! But even without the silk, this polish still looks good and stays on my nails. I love it that it's a shimmer; not glittery. And I get so many compliments on it. It's a true Kelly Green! So, get your Irish on! You don't have to be Irish and it doesn't have to be St. Patrick's Day!!!
