Very pretty scent, i loved it, had a very sweet womanly smell. nothing like an old grandma smell at all. very modern, i purchased mine at peebles and got a free makeup bag and 2 free estee lauder lipsticks! GREAT DEAL<3

Totally respectable, pretty floral scent. It's not particularly memorable but it is long lasting, with nice sillage. Beautiful Sheer is very prim and proper, but I could see where you'd might want a "prim and proper" scent: at work, some kinds of social gatherings... a class lecture. Basically it's hard to offend people while you're wearing this. I used to work in a card shop and we sold potpourri in little packets that you could stick in drawers, and one of them, Bamboo and Blossoms, smelled exactly like Beautiful Sheer. It's sunny, airy and not saccharine sweet, with a lot of what smells like orange blossom. I enjoy it sometimes, but it's not a "me" scent. It's simply very appropriate for lots of occasions.

This is a fresh floral..not fruity. If you are familiar with Beautfiul, there are similarities, but I find this one much more wearable which I am sure was the intent with creating a "sheer" version. This scent is light, but noticeable. Floral but not sickeningly sweet. Very feminine. I do not get the comparisons to Clinique "Happy" which is heavy on the citrus, and I don't pick up "grassy notes" either. Just a pretty floral. It does remind me of Stella Sheer. But I prefer this to Stella because it is not as one note..Rose..as Stella. Liking this one. I am actually having a renaissance with all that EL has to offer. I am so sick of wasting $ on scents that disappear. These scents give you a bang for your buck.

Wow so different from the original beautiful! More wearable and lighter! I can actually use this on my wedding day so is on my list hehehe! The fragrance opens a bright sharp and sets delicately on my skin, leaving a sheer veil of soft flowers!!! Will buy it again!!!

What a wonderful smell this is! I had doubts about it before I actually smelled it thinking it would smell similar to Beautiful.. I was definitely wrong! Beautiful Sheer is amazing! I highly recommend it.

I looooove beautiful SHEER! It smells very good.. kind of floral but fruity. I love it. My mom wears original beautiful but I guess its my age or something but i don't like the original beautiful.. beautiful sheer is the best in my opinion! : ))

I first smelled this on a coworker and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was another version of Beautiful, which I find too heavy and cloying. This particular scent is very reminiscent of Clinque's Happy, only with slightly warmer notes and little more rose to it. I love it! My mom even wants a bottle so I know it is one of those fragrances that can be worn by any age group. A definite keeper in my fragrance collection.

This is a much more translucent version of Beautiful. The notes are more woody than the original. It is very feminine and soft. I find the original Beautiful to be too harsh and floral, this one is more refined and nice.

I always said that if I could find a perfume that smells like the scent the benefit puts in their blushes I would! This smells almost exactly like my coralista blush. Its so light and pretty. The packaging looks cheap though and I would think for 54$ for 1 oz it could look a bit nicer

This is a light watery rose scent. It smells synthetic to me, as if some very small alcohol molecules are going up my nostrils--not pleasant.
I am a true lover of rose perfumes, but they must be first class, such as Joy, and this is such a bastardization of that incredible gift from nature that it is a bit revolting. If I want a nice light wearable synthetic rose scent I prefer D&G Rose The One. It wafts for hours in an interesting way. This is just syrupy sweet and fake smelling.
I have it in the body spray which may be worse than the eau de parfum version. I much prefer the original Beautiful, which has no resemblance at all to this. This doesn't reek or smell terrible, just misses the mark so badly.

At first spray, it smells like a floral fragrance but within minutes, this awful green grassy note comes out. I wasn't expecting green notes and grass is my least favorite. It would have been a much nicer scent if they had left out the green notes.

beautiful sheer is a lovely daytime scent, cheery and long lasting, but never overpowering. also my husband likes it so thats a bonus.

This is such an exuberantly happy fragrance - it's midday warm yellow roses with a touch of pear and freshness (as from citrus, though I don't know if there's any in it) and velvety, soapy cleanness. The detergenty-quality lends it a little hissiness, and it isn't a "natural" smell by any definition, but it certainly is pretty. It's something I like so much that I avoid wearing it on crappy work days so as not to spoil the pleasant association! This comes in a body spray, which will wear off quickly, and an eau de parfum, which lasts nicely. Lovely.

OMG!!!!!! I smelled this completely by fluke, but what a lovely fluke it was!!! I was bored the other day, watching people review perfume on youtube (I know, I'm a fragrance junkie!!!) Anyway, I remember some girl saying her boyfriend loved Beautiful Sheer body mist on her. I remember thinking, really? Beautiful? That 80's perfume my Mom used to have in her bathroom that smelled rather 'old lady' and musty to me. How old is your boyfriend honey, 80? Oh silly arrogant me. I walk by the Estee Lauder counter 2 days ago and see the Beautiful Sheer body mist next to the regular Beautiful perfume bottle filled with dark yellow vileness and pick it up take off the cap and sniff the nozzle, expecting to smell a watered down version of Beautiful. Doooiiiing! I am completely floored at how good this heavenly pink liquid smells (flowery and fresh and PINK). I think to myself that it must not really smell like this, then spray it on a card, and walk around with the paper plastered to my nose. I am in loooovvee with this smell, and buy it immediately. People have compared it to Happy and Tommy Girl and it actually reminds me of both (I love both of those perfumes) but I think I may like it better than either of those. To me Beautiful Sheer smells nothing like Beautiful original. I apologize for all the dissing of the original, but they really are THAT different. A lot of people on here who like the original hate the sheer, so that makes sense! The bottle looks 80's to me, but the 80's are back! I actually love the Estee Lauder signature gold-paint job on a lot of their products, though I think Beautiful Sheer EDP has a silver top. I only own the body mist, but am buying the eau de parfum as well as anything else available in this scent as soon as I can. Pure fresh light delicious love!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

I have a mini version of the Beautiful Sheer fragrance. I like how light the scent is, but it has a tingly note to it after a few minutes that I can't quite pin. I generally prefer stronger and citrus scents.

Awful! First few minutes: Tommy Girl with a good shot of rosewater. Then for a few minutes: powerful rosepetal honey. Then all this together for what seems forever! I cannot wash it off! It hates me! If you love Tommy Girl, you'll adore this. I abhorr it.

I want something that stays almost the whole day so i prefer other fragnances.
