I like this trio.. like, not love. I find that I prefer the prune and dark purple shade together and tend to neglect the medium purple shade, but I believe that's because the purples aren't different enough for me, although they are definitely different! Either way, pretty colors, just not 100% yet that it's for me personally.

I was looking for some dupes for the Dolce & Gabbana eye shadow duo in Blossom, and I couldn't believe a dupe was as easy as glancing over the NYX shades. This trio has both! The first and last shadows are almost a perfect match for the D & G. That palette is $36 and this was $8 at Ulta. They are rich and smooth shades for the price. NYX has improved their formula for shadows. I'm happy with my recent purchases, BUT make sure that you have the new formulas in products and not the older versions. If they look soft to touch in the store, then they will probably be good. If they look matte or dusty then do not buy it.

Not bad...colours are nice but I think they could be a bit darker/deeper. The quality of the shadows are awesome, I just felt it was a bit too bright, I definitley needed to add some black/grey to the mix!!

This is my go to palette when I want a nice purple smokey eye. The color payoff is good, the product goes on smooth. There is not a lot of fall out and it goes on evenly. For being drugstore item this is a great product!!!

After wanting a purple eyeshadow for a very long time, I decided to buy this because it came with 2 purple colors and the prune, and I didn't have anything that would for sure go with purple, this gave me 2 purples to work with. I love it. The color is bright and rich, it lasts my with my primer, and the packaging is cute. I have worn it a couple of times and each time the color was vibrant. It has some shimmer to it but it isn't very shimmery, more frosty like someone else described it. I would buy this again if I run out and want more. I will also be trying mor NYX eyeshadows.

What the heck? Is this supposed to be shimmery? Because my trio is completely matte. And the colour pay-off is lousy. :O
With that said, I kinda like this trio. It's not awesome, but I like the two purple ones. The prune one is just too pink to go with the other ones and it's not very pigmented. But that might just be because my trio is really weird, wrong, matte and not pigmented. lol.
The palette itself is beautiful though. Sleek, black and with a little mirror inside.

The quality of these shadows are really nice, but the only reason I wouldn't buy these is because I don't wear purples that often and because these aren't the most flattering shades on me. It comes with a light purple, a dark purple, and a pink shade. They're all shimmery, but not too frosty. The purple shades are all a little too pink for me, but the dark purple is kind of nice when I want some definition. They're pretty pigmented, but not extremely so. I do really love the texture of these since they're really smooth and not overly shimmery. I'll use these, but they're nothing compared to MUFE no. 92. For reference, I have NC30-35 asian skin with slight olive undertones :)

Holy smokes! This palette is excellent! I love purples and they compliment my skin tone very well, and these colors, each and every one of them are so vibrant and pigmented! These are great to use to create smokey eyes look, or on days you wanna go a bit wild with your colors! And it's so affordable too - if I ever hit pan I'll probably get them again. Very, very nice!

I am on my 2nd trio of purple, deep purple, and prune at the moment. I buy this mainly for the deep purple, which is different from NYX single deep purple eye shadows. I also use the purple, but as far as I can tell it is the same as the single eyeshadow pan. I use both of those almost daily. They are surprisingly wearable when used and blended with other lighter shades as well as blacks/greys.

This was a disappointment - the pinks are just too.. pink, I was hoping for more purple variations. It is just super bright - i guess I should have known better. I am too old to pull this off - gave it to my 12 y.o today. That sounds really bad, she is really too young for eye shadow but she wears a little for special occassions. Oh, it was the perfect pink for my other daughter (twin) to wear with her fuscia outfit at her dance recital today.

I am stunned by the high marks
I think this trio sucks.
1) the colors are so similar it is insane to think anyone uses they all for one look
2) the Prune color is fugly IMO
3) they do not blend well and sit on top of the skin, so they sorta come off and look pretty bad.
I don't like this AT ALL. Hoping to swap it away!

I love this NYX trio! The colors are super versatile and extremely pigmented. Prune is more of a pinkish color but goes really great with the two purples. I usually pair purple or deep purple with a silvery color and it works great. The colors are also super blendable and i think fairly matte. I purchased this from cherry culture where the trios are only $5.50 and i got 20% off so i think it was definitely a steal. I would recommend this to everyone!

I bought mine from cherryculture.com, very affordable, & fast shipping. :) TY Youtube for helping me find that website haha.
The shadows are high pigmented, go on silky smooth, & are long lasting. I am very impressed with this eyeshadow trio. So much I will never purchase MAC or any high-end department store shadows again!
Some people say they got a bluish Deep Purple, but that isn't always the case. The one I got is a pure purple color, so perhaps (thankfully) they changed the formula a bit.
This 'palette' is great on green or blue eyed girls. I have ghostly pale skin, blonde hair, & this stuff REALLY made my aqua eyes POP!
Last but not least; I LOVE THE PACKAGING. So clean & cute. The shiny black palette is the icing on the cake. ;)
HG status for sure.

Love this trio, it's my go-to for both going out and performance makeup. The colors are fantastic, well-pigmented, and all compliment each other well for a great purple eye, which is perfect for my brown eyes. You can make it relatively subtle or super dramatic as well. I like using deep purple as a powder liner.
I like the simple black packaging with the mirror, though the clear plastic window half-popped off of the glue. No big deal. Inexpensive on cherryculture.

This is a very good trio to have for those who love purples. All three colors are very pigmented, stay on well and blends easily. They are definitely very bright shades that show up very similar to how they look in the pans but the great thing is that these three colors have a multi-dimensional quality to them, giving the color some kind of depth that makes them so pretty and interesting, so not flat at all. I have brown eyes that look quite dark on their own but these purples make my brown eyes look sooo amazing, lighter and prettier. I think this is a really good deal for all three colors. If I was doing an all purple eye with this trio, I would use either one of the colors at the ends as an all over color and then the one in the middle for the crease and then a very light almost white color towards the inner corner of the eye blending out towards the middle of the eye but fades out. But I will also use of or two of these purples w/ turquoise, very pretty, w/ black as a purpley smokey eye etc...who knew purple could be this versatile.

this is my review for nyx trio shadows overall. i have these in my mac palette and they are great. all of the trios are lovely and affordable. i prefer these to nyx single shadows because they dont have as much fall out and i prefer to not have tons of containers laying around. the color selection is large and with these i am set for any look. great color payoff, blend very well and stay on all day. since i started using these i get so many compliments from men and women on my eye makeup. these really are professional grade eyeshadows and nyx is a cruelty free company! so glad i got turned on to these.

Bought this at Ulta when they had NYX products on a buy one get one half off. Plus I've heard that purples look really nice with brown eyes. Very pigmented, blendable, and pretty! So, in love with this product, and easy to use for a beginner like myself.

Love this trio! Pigmented and blendable. The packaging is sleek too with a built in mirror. I think I paid $7, which is a great price for high quality eyeshadows. NYX is hard to find where I live but I'm so glad I found a place that actually carries the brand. I can't wait to get some of their other eyeshadows.

These are just not pigmented enough for my liking. It was my first time trying NYX eyeshadow. All of the trios look as if they are very highly pigmented, so I was really surprised when I put the Deep Purple on my eyelid, and it barely showed up at all. It was very sheer and not at all what I expected it to be. I tried it again after putting primer on first, and it looked much better. I feel better about it now that I know it looks decent with a primer, but I think it's silly that I NEED to prime my eyes in order to see this eyeshadow AT ALL. It's barely visible on my naked skin, and I prefer shadows that are pigmented enough that you can at least tell what color they're supposed to be without slathering on even more makeup. I don't know; maybe my olive skin tone completely neutralizes this eyeshadow. That's the only reason I can think of that it would be SO pigmented on everyone else and practically invisible on me. The colors in this are okay. I'd prefer to have a pallet with more blue-purple shades like the Deep Purple. The Purple and Prune shades are pinker than I'd like. All in all, I think these are okay, not great. This product has gotten a lot of 5's from other reviewers, and while I'm glad that they like it, I think I can find other equally inexpensive eyeshadow that is better suited to my personal preferences, so I don't think I'm going to be buying any more NYX eyeshadow.
