Really surprised by some of these reviews! I have had adult acne for years now, had completed a Roacutane course a while ago which did help but my acne returned with a vengeance after a year and I really didn't want to use that medication again due to the awful side-effects. Was recommended Murad and I really do advocate that it makes a huge difference.
I used to get cystic acne, huge uncomfortable clusters of boil like spots that linger for months and leave scars. These reduced immediately with the Dr Murad treatments, and now although I get the occasional monthly spot, they are very small and quickly disappear. I haven't continued to purchase the cleanser from the collection, think its too expensive for what it is but have continued everything else and have had consistently clear skin since. Unlike other acne products these don't dry the skin out, and also the anti-wrinkle/anti-acne serum actually has got rid of those tiny little frown lines on the brow. Really very happy!

The only things that I liked were the cleanser and exfoliating agent. Otherwise it did nothing for me.....NOTHING.

Please dont spend you money on this Murad system. It doesnt do anything to improve your acne, but hurts and peels your skin in a way that you will be the center of everybody attention. In two weeks the skin on my cheeks were almost bleeding, to a point that i cant even put make up to cover the damage. Is very very expensive and will make your acne worst..
sorry Murad : (

HATED IT WITH ALL MY HEART. The commercials make it seem like it's the best product on this planet. After a week of using it, it made my skin SO SO SO bad. Everything you read about it tells you to continue using it, because "it takes at least a month to tell if it's working". DO NOT LISTEN. If ANY product makes your skin 80% worse after about a week, do NOT continue to use it. I made the mistake of believing that it would get better. IT DIDN'T. I continued using it for about two more months. It completely ruined my skin.... and self confidence. It was TERRIBLE. As soon as I stopped using it, my skin began to clear up! hmmm.... seems backwards huh?????? I would definately NOT recommend this to anyone. I would never want anyone to have to go through the kind of battle I went through by using this product. It's a rip-off and a scam. It isn't worth the risk.

Long story short this made my acne worse please dont buy this junk just a scam terrible product feeding off of our insecurities

I've been using this system for almost two months now and my acne looks worse than ever. I usually break out on my chin right before my period but since I started using this stuff I've had 10-15 zits on my chin, cheeks and forehead at a time.
The packaging of the exfoliating treatment bottle is a very hard plastic and it makes it difficult to squeeze out any of the product.
I wish I had saved my receipt so I could get my money back.

Murad Acne Kit
wow by the reviews of this product u'd think they put gasoline in a tube and sold it for 30$ lol well I have a different take on it. Everyone's skin is different. Usually I am pretty low maintenance on my skin routine, i wash twice daily and could use antibac hand soap if i had to. I have mild acne but for some reason my face was flaring up. Bought Murad. purging process was noticeable but minimal. after the first wk or 2 my face def cleared up a lot. breaks outs were of the past.
PROS:
Put the sulfur on (last step) overnight, and the pimple disappears by morning.
Clean Feeling
Clearer Skin
Doesn't create a dependency (I can go a couple days without it and my skin will not freak out)
Fairly Priced
CONS:
I guess its harsh for sensitive people.
Purging Process (4 some ppl)
I don't have many complaints
Oh and the smell is not bad at all. Just people being babies.

I have sensitive oily skin and breakout time to time but sometime last year I used a certain foundation that broke me out really bad. I tried all kinds of products that made my skin break out more. I have been using this for about 3 weeks now and there is a big difference from when I first started. This didn't dry out my skin like other products I tried. The only negative is the size I bought the 30 day supply and I already ran out of the toner. I will stick to this regimen since it's working. I highly recommend this to anyone who is sensitive to benzoyl peroxide.

I'm a 10 year user of the Acne line, adult onset acne with very sensitive skin...tried all the hypo-allergenic lines with no positive results. This product was a recommendation from my daughter who has beautiful skin.
The first week was a nightmare...massive breakouts even in places that were normally clear and acne free. By the 3rd week boy did I see a dramatic difference...face cleared and stays clear to this day.
A few years ago decided to switch...big mistake...ran back to Murad and have continued using.

Got a free sample of the kit. Good thing I didn't spend money on this! I liked the cleanser. Made my face tingle and feel fresh. It was down hill from there. After two days of using the treatment my face began to itch and burn. I've stopped using it but 3 days later and my face still feels like sandpaper. WTF?
WASTE OF MONEY!

Unlike other people, I surprisingly didn't hate Murad. I read a lot of bad reviews about the kit, but I decided to give it a try anyways.
The first week, my face broke out SO BAD. It was the worst my skin has ever been.
In a few more weeks, my skin got better than it was the first week, but not any better than what it was before using Murad.
What I loved about it, was that it didn't dry out my skin.
So basically, Murad didn't cure my acne. But it felt good on my skin, I didn't feel like it was drying out my skin. It actually moisturized it.
I wouldn't buy it again because it's soooo expensive! The kit only lasted me about 3 months, at $70 bucks a pop. So that's what... 280 dollars a year. I wouldn't mind paying that for something that actually cleared my skin.

i have been suffering from mad crazy break-outs and nothing would work, so i tried this stuff. for reference, i typically have combo-oily slightly sensitive skin. lately though, my skin has gone haywire, and is a little more sensitive and dry. this stuff was fine at the beginning, although i will admit that the cleanser did make me feel tight in the face. i liked the sulfur spot treatment, even though it made my face smell wonky. at first it really did reduce inflammation. the serum also helped deal with any of the dryness that you get when you use the spot treatment. the moisturizer blew though. totally. nothing good to say about it. it would be awesome for oily skin, but i felt like i wasn't wearing moisturizer at all. the more i used everything though, the more it started to sting my face to the point that i would be on the verge of tears. i also developed a ton of blackheads, which is unheard of for me. when i completely stopped using any of the stuff in this kit, my acne got less red and less inflamed. i think that this would probably work on someone whose skin is a lot more resilient and who has only light acne which is why i'm giving it a 2 instead of a 1. a definite no-no for anyone with dry or even maybe combo skin. it also costs too much for something that is so drying and harsh- might as well wash your face with dishsoap. packaging was fine, but i didn't really like how the serum stuff was packaged. when it's full, it's hard to get anything out, and the bottle is practically unsqueezeable.

In a desperate attempt to cure my skin before a cruise I purchased the get started kit with the face wash, exfoliating serum, spot treatment and repairing lotion.....Big no no. my face broke out the worse I had ever seen. the whole week of the cruise I was embaressed wearing a hat. But i kept using it thinkin it would get better. And it did! The second week it was great! I had clear skin and a new found confidence. Sadly, about the 4th week I began to break out again. it was all down hill from there...

I hated this stuff. I kept seeing the infomercial and thought, "why not?" I developed acne a few years ago as an adult and have really been at a loss on what to do about it and how to treat it - thought I'd give this a shot. Big mistake. Took years for my skin to recover. The "purging" process never ended, I developed huge cysts that left scars (that I still have, almost 3 years later) and it enlarged my pores - they're still huge (I mean it's not like they were small before, but they weren't THIS big!). Sent the products back and never got a refund - even though it's guaranteed. I know some people love these skin care systems, some have even "cured" their acne - and that's wonderful, I wish I could be one of those lucky ones. Sadly, there is a large population of us out there who's acne makes no sense - there is no rhyme or reason to it - and unfortunately, these systems just aren't meant for us.

I just want to add that, even if you cancel the stupid automatic membership, you still need to double check, since I got billed for another kit after cancelling.
