I use this brush for applying loose powder and also to buff harsh lines from blush/bronzer. It's very soft and large. I haven't noticed any shedding yet. Seems to be great quality - it better be for the crazy retail price! Luckily I get a 30% discount, but I still would have paid full cost for it. I would re-purchase, as I think it's a good tool to have.

This brush feels really luxurious. I originally bought it to use with MAC beauty powder, which works great. It's really good for setting the face with powder, bronzing, even applying lighter blushes.

i love this brush but its quite a costly brush, but worth it id say, because most other brushes from other brands are not so dense and mostly are just fluffly and soft. i really did not know weather to get this brush because i hate the price, but overeall i think this is how a powder brush should be shaped for all over powder application. before this brush was around 34 pounds now its 38, so mac do increase there prices. . the 138 and 134 are most expensive brushes!! but i think they do a great job. the denser the brush the more product it can pick up and apply all over face. i think the 150 brush is different this is way bigger, but shorter handle, and 150 has a bigger handle. i think this is great for bronzing holding the 134 on the side and sweeping it up and down [ blend] ... this would be useful if your in a rush to go out, it would do all your powder make up on face just perfect. i would never buy this again, i don't think i would need too, i also love bdellium tools powder brushes, they are dense too..like mac brushes.

I just LOVE this brush!Ive been looking for a good brush that doesnt shed or feel prickly to apply my loose powder & i think i just found it!And no im not saying it cause its MAC.Ive had a few brushes from MAC which i hated but not this one.I use it to apply my powder & bronzer.Dont really suggest this for blush though since it is quite wide i suggest the 168 or 116 for that. But overall this is a great brush!I wouldnt buy this product again since my MAC brushes have lasted for years & im sure this will too.But if it was lost(which i hope it wont)I would definately buy again. But yes i truly recommend it:)

The brush is well made in general. The hair are a bit scratchy and hard though.

This brush is huge! Let that be a warning - looking at the MAC site (I bought it on line rather than checking it out first in my local store or Nordstrom's counter) you will never realize that it is HUGE. I think it would be great for applying anything you normally put on in larger amounts: face powder, bronzer, and highlighter. Definitely not blush! But for those other three tasks, it's perfect. Also, it is a small fortune, but you are also getting a LOT of brush, so it's to be expected. I think if I were to buy all my makeup brushes again, it would probably go at the end of my list of what I need, but like most of my brushes I'm glad it's in my collection. It's something I use almost every day, when applying a highlighter.

Love it! Love it!
I used to be the drug store, elf brush kinda girl.
The other day, me and my friend went to MAC pro to get the blush palette. After the makeover from the artist, I decided to get 2 sets of the glitter and ice brush set and the 134.
So far, 134 is my favorite. I use it for bronzer.
Even it's quite pricy, it totally worths it.
Am going back to get 1 more for powder and 1 more for blush.
No Starbucks for the next month........

This is described as a extra large paddle brush designed to provide flawless application of powder to face or body. The MAC website describtion it doesn't mention if it is intended for loose or pressed powder but I have only used it for loose powder. It is a soft brush that picks up and applies powder nicely. It retails for $52.

OMG I love this brush, its just so glamorous and soft. This brush works great for powders, bronzers, and some blush. The price is a bit steep, but the quality is definitely worth it! No complaints, I love the color scheme of these brushes, its so professional. I haven't had any problems with shedding or being too prickly, will by again but I doubt I'll need a replacement. <3

Scratch a little, bleeds a little and sheds a little...lol...maybe because I'm a picky person but...this is not a good brush. Would not recommend to anyone. Future users...beware of the black water that comes out when you wash it...we don't even know what we are putting on our faces...scary thought.

I found this at a CCO and wasn't too sure how I'd use it. Go figure, I use it every day and have totally forgotten about all of my other powder brushes. The brush is so soft and the paddle shape fits on my face easier. I can glide it around without some big puffy thing getting on my lips or eyeshadow. It's expensive but totally worth it. This is definitely a case of getting what you pay for.

$52 for a large powder brush (17.5 cm).
I must say, it definitely isn't cheap. However, it's very soft, doesn't smell strange, and is great for applying setting powder. It is one of my favorite Mac brushes. I wouldn't buy another one, but I definitely like the one I have.

I got this brush lasweek at my weekly Mac Haul and the mua suggested to use this to set my makeup well she also said it was very versatile I could use it for contouring being that it's slim and I could use it for setting my makeup cause it very fluffy and I could also use it for blush ;) It's a bit expensive at 52$ but it's like 3 brushes in 1 so if u look at it like that it come out to be cheaper ;) I read on here that it could be scratchy and I don't find that at all it's not super soft but not scratchy either also mine hasn't really shed at all so overall a good brush have been using it every day ...... Prob won't buy another cause all my Mac brushes last a ling time ;)

This is one of the latest additions to my brush collection and I wish i got it sooner as it would save me a lot of money from other brushes i previously owned. It's very versatile , I use it mainly for bronzer but it works just as good with any powder product. Bristles are very soft, they're the same quality as 129 or any of that family, but slightly softer. Distrubutes color amazingly and blends very well. I love the paddle shape ! It's the best for contouring but I also use the tip for applying highlight.

This is MAC's large paddle brush. It's very fluffy and wide with a short handle. It's bristles are similar to the MAC 150 brush, which are both good for setting foundation on the face or body. It's not an essential brush and if you're not a MAC loyalist you can find a powder brush elsewhere that does the same job, but it's still excellent quality and a brush you know will last long, which is why I got it.

Love this brush - had tried a sigma version, although it was the 150 so slightly different. This was useless, shed everywhere, even the replacement they sent me. So I splashed out and bought this. Don't regret it. I use it for bronzer, it is the perfect shape.

i love this brush....its expensive yes....but its very soft (at least mine is)....its flathead so i use it for bronzer...i could use it other ways but so far i just used it with my fav bronzer...i have wash it already and still soft....doesnt shed...i have the costal essence, and the sigma dupe...but they arent the same...costal essence sheds like crazy, and the sigma one is too fluffy...the mac 134 brush so far its one of my favorite face brushes :)

Dear god, this brush is SO scratchy! Terrible quality, not worth the price. My Quo brushes are similar or better quality for a fraction of the price.
