I hate to only gives this product two lippies, since I really love most Tarte products. This product to me is very overrated. It is one of the best seller items and I got it in a kit with their best sellers. Its a gel like stick in a roll up container that gives you a little pink glow but it's just so hard to apply evenly and over all frustrating for me with very little payoff.

Love the cheek stains. They don't last long alone but if u r using it as a blush base, the powder blush will last all day. I have flush, doll face, pink holiday and ten anniversary.

My go to blush. Use it everyday. Am on my third tube.
PROS:
- Natural flush - very pretty
- Works well over BB cream/ foundation as well as bare skin
- Easy to apply and blend
- Nice amount of product for price (and often on sale)
- Color allows your skin tone to show through so works year round
- Build color well
CONS:
- Needs to be set with powder
- if your doing a contour/highlight is a bit harder to work with than a powder

I have been dying to try these cheek stains for years and years and years...I didn't want to spend the money on a full-sized version because I tend to break out with scented products. I was finally able to purchase a mini version of this cheek stain in flush, which is the shade I was most interested in trying anyway! This looked really pretty on the skin, almost like I was emitting a healthy flush from the inside rather than having color sit on top of my skin. I think this is a great rosy-cheeked winter shade. Because rubbing it right on my face felt unsanitary, I rubbed it on a makeup sponge, patted the sponge on the apples of my cheeks, and then blended it out into a nice flush. I was in love...until my cheeks started breaking out (and I never ever ever break out on my cheeks!). The same thing happened with Benefit Dandelion. Looooved the product and its look, but my skin is too sensitive to handle the smelly perfumes and sticky consistency of this product. I still gave this 3 lippies because I liked the initial results, and I'm sure it works great for those with less sensitive skin. Just be really careful if you have sensitive skin..try a mini version or sample it before you waste your money!

I stopped using this blush for sooooooooooooooo long, because I stupidly believed everyone that said you can't use it with mineral powder foundation. Recently found it at the bottom of my stash and OMG. It really is the best blush ever for me. First of all, it doesn't break me out like powder blushes tend to do, and second, it just looks so damn gorgeous! And guess what? It looks fantastic with mineral foundation! I dab it on lightly with a foundation brush. Don't rub it in, just sort of stipple it on, that way you're not mixing it with your foundation and/or wiping your foundation off.
I'm a pretty cheap broad who firmly believes that most drug store makeup is just as good as HE, so the fact that I would gladly shell out the dough for this cheek stain again says a lot!

Every time I wear this someone compliments me on my complexion or says I look rested or relaxed. It definitely gives a natural glow! I like to put a cheek stain (I also love Benetint) under my foundation for a "glowing from within" kind of look. This also looks amazing over liquid foundation for a dewey, glowy effect. The shade "Flush" is perfect for fair skin. So natural.
I have pretty sensitive skin, and at first was a little nervous about the fact that it was scented (a pleasant citrus scent). I have not had any reaction or problems with it. I think because Tarte uses really high quality natural ingredients. It doesn't irritate my skin at all.

I got a sample of this in a Tarte bestsellers set. I wasn't even planning on using it originally, but it's become my favorite blush. It was hard to get used to because it was just a block of product, and I had trouble applying it (I tried to rub it on my fingers and then apply on my cheeks, but this never got the right amount of product on), so I set it aside for a couple months. Interestingly, it melted inside the tube when it started getting warmer here, and that actually made it easier to use. (It's liquid-y where it melted so it's easier for my fingers to pick up a natural-looking amount.) However, that's why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5, because it's pretty messy to deal with now. The price for the full sized is less than other brands, but still pricey, and the packaging for the full sized apparently isn't like the twist-up in the sample, so that's annoying, but I'd still repurchase. It lasts all day in normal weather and works for pretty much all skin tones.

I got this in a value set from Sephora. At first the color didn't thrill me but I have found myself reaching for this quite frequently. I'm NW10, BTW.

This is kind of a product I like, but doesn't do everything it says it will for me. I love this on my lips, but it doesn't really work on my cheeks. I just can't get it blended in a nice manner on my cheeks before it dries, and it looks awful. On my lips it looks great! Adds a rosy look without the opacity of lipstick and lasts very well. I would buy it again just for lips.

I'm still on the fence with this product. I was hoping to find something that had a bit more control than the gel I was using before (Bonne Belle bronzer), but I do not find this very lasting and hard to apply in a way that looks natural. I just watched a Tarte video on Youtube on how to apply it so I'll try again and update. Right now, thinking of going back to my much cheaper Bonne Bell Gel Bronzer in Golden Tan! Works much better than this!
EDIT - I watched the Tarte MUA Youtube video on how to apply this and found out that I have to apply it OVER my powder. Usually, I apply liquids first then powder, but this is the opposite. It does show up better that way, but still fades quite a bit through the day. If I want a color that will last, I use my NYX cream blush with a powder blush over it. I use Tarte just for a natural flush at the start of the day when I'm dropping the kids off at school.

This is a gel stick blush, I wouldn't really call it a stain. I do like the color but am not a huge fan of the formula. The gel is very sticky when applied and I just can't get over putting something sticky on my cheeks.
If you like the idea of a gel formula then definitely try this out, but I personally prefer NYX's creme stick blush formula.

I love how light this gel formulation feels. I tend toward minimal makeup (especially on the skin), and this fits the bill. Sheer feeling, light color, and quick to apply.
This (or JM argan stick) + a Korres lip butter is my one minute makeup routine so I can look somewhat put together in the office.

This was my first stab at cheek stain and I'm very happy with this product. I read some reviews on other tints/stains before purchasing this one and am glad I did, because this one deserves the raves it gets. It's a lovely raspberry-ish colour and though it looks intense, it can be very sheerly applied. I've put it on for three days (not in a row) since I bought it and tried different methods each time: once, I dabbed it around the apple and near my cheekbone; then I did a short, gentle streak from my apple upwards to the cheekbone; finally a dot-and-twist in place method two or three times. After each type, I blended lightly with my fingers. It's very easy to adjust the intensity of colour and if you go overboard, you can just rub off a bit before it dries (takes about 5 mins). From what I've read here it works on many different skin tones. I'm an NC40, a bit less yellow, and it does look like I'm flushed. I flush a deep pink-almost red colour and this emulates that fairly well. It does last nearly all day and gives you a dewy glow. I know there are some who complain it's a bit sticky/tacky but I found that wore off after 5-10 mins, and it's certainly nothing severe enough for anything to stick to, including your hair. The scent is lightly lemony but to me it's just sort of fresh, and not too overpowering. Again, it wears off after about 5 mins of application.
.
This product is on the pricey side but honestly, for the size of it, I doubt I'll ever have to repurchase!! My only wish is that they'd make the packaging a twist-up rather than a push-up. At one point I sort of had to push the product down into the container after I pushed too hard :P

This was my first cheek stain and will probably be my last. The texture makes it really hard to work with, not impossible though. Once I finally got the product on, it turned red on me. So it looked like I had been just sitting in a hot car, not the "flush" I was hoping for.

I'm usually not a fan of cream blushes or stains (I prefer power blushes), but I really love this one! It doesn't smear the powder foundation I wear underneath and gives a very natural "flush" on my fair skin. It also has amazing staying power; better than any blush I've ever tried. I have the sample size and it's lasted me a really long time. My only gripe is the price of a full-sized cheek stain; I think $30 is too steep. Also, I prefer the twist up packaging of the mini size to the push-up packaging of the full size. I wish you could simply buy the smaller one for half the price!

I love this. This gives me such a natural-looking flush, it is perfection in stick form. I usually apply by rubbing some product onto my fingers and then tapping the colour along my cheek bones, and then I blend. If it's looking a little too dewy I sweep a little finishing powder over it. This lasts and lasts on my skin. I can't give an accurate guess about how many hours this lasts, but it's usually still very much visible by the end of the day (and I have long days most of the time). I will repurchase, though I'm not sure that I'll ever run out of this one! I'd love to try some different colours.

Love this blush. At first, the deepness of this color scared me away, but I bought it and it leaves a very natural tint on my cheeks. When you first put it on, it is really sticky, but it goes sway in a few minutes,. Also, this is hard to blend. It smells like Lemon and feels awesome and light on! Would repurchase forever, but I want to try other shades first.

I love this stuff - this got me wearing blush in the first place. Looks natural. I am brown - like a Hershey bar - and this is exactly how I want blush to look on me - like I'm flushed. The shine is a little odd, but depends on your skin. Powder blush can be a little dry looking on my combination skin, so I prefer a non matte product outside my t-zone. finishing powder can correct anyway. Application is little tricky - fingers vs. sponge vs smearing on - eh, depends on what else you have on your face. Also it really lasts and didn't clog my pores.
BIG recommend - if you are not a blush person - this may convert you.
