I prefer this cleanser over the Obagi Foaming Gel right now since I am doing the Retin A/Obagi Blender treatment. It is a little more soothing & less drying than the other cleanser within the NuDerm line. I have enough flaky going on with the treatment & needed something that would moisturize a bit more & this works perfectly. Again same that went for the Foaming Gel, this is non-irritating, non-smelly & no color so perfect in that way. Works surprisingly well on removing my eye makeup as well so that was a nice additional to a shower face cleanser!

I'm still, slowly getting accustomed to this cleanser-not because this is a bad cleanser (far from it). Rather, I'm erratic and fickle when it comes to sticking with a particular skin care regimen. Especially anything to do with rinsable cleansers. What I like about this cleanser are its calming, conditioning qualities, and effective, reliable rinsability. At 38, and a veteran of having tried many, different cleansers, in every imaginable formulation, I'm now feeling as if I need to do everything possible to give back to and to preserve my skin, for the better. Further, this cleanser easily and comfortably takes off everything, with the exception of mascara/eyeliner. True to its claims, it's soothing and gentle. No offensive fragrance. Or, excessive sudsing. Pricey, for what it is, and since I also recently stocked up on an additional, generous, travel-sized bonus of this, I can't see myself re-purchasing this in the future. Yet, I'd definitely still slate this as a positive re-buy. So, if you're like me and want something a little more advanced and effective than some of the standard, drugstore finds (like Purpose, Cetaphil, etc), this is still a great, worthwhile indulgence and investment.

This is the best cleanser I have used. Normally cleansers make me tingle in an unpleasant way and burn after rinsing. This cleanser feels so cool, gentle, effective and lovely. I enjoy using it and my skin has been better since using it in conjunction with sunscreen every day.

I am in the minority with this cleanser, but I did not like it. I use other Obagi products but I found this one much more harsh than the name let on. It seemed to cause irritation and break outs whenever I used it. I even tried stopping other products to discern whether this cleanser was truly the cause and there was just no other explanation.

However, I did purchase it off ebay so it is possible that the product was either fraudulent or expired. Either way I don't think I will take a chance on it again though.

Soothing best describes the Nu-Derm cleanser. Good for reactive or fussy skin types. I had to switched from Cetaphil as it caused breakouts. This is a gentle cleanser and one to use everyday. I alternate the MD Forte along with this one. Dermatologist recommended.

Best cleanser ever, I break out with cleansers and this one is perfect, no break outs when I use it. I ran out, picked up something else and broke out again. Love Obagi.

Why hasn't anyone else come up with a gel cleanser that leaves your skin makeup free, yet not stripped? While I am not a huge fan of Obagi products, this cleanser is awesome. It's a little pricey for a cleanser ($36 US), it's worth it because it works so well and the bottle lasts a long time (a little really does go a long way). I cheated on this cleanser with a Zia gel cleanser, Skinceuticals Simply Clean, and Oil of Olay gentle cleanser and there is no comparison. This is the best. And my skin is oily with a tendency towards deep blackheads on the nose, chin, and cheeks.

I thought the foaming gel was the best cleanser until I tried the gentle cleanser. It really does a great job taking off makeup and doesn't dry my skin out at all! It smells better too. My new favorite!!

This is a pricey product as a facial cleanser but a little drop goes a long way so its worth the initial investment. I only wish it was available in a pump but other than that, its a great daily cleanser, especially for someone with oily skin.

I bought this by accident and meant to order a bottle of the foaming cleanser, which I love. I was pleasently surprised. I thought that this was going to be a cream cleanser for some reason but it is sort of like a soft gel (?) that does not really foam at all ( it did a little bit). It took off my makeup just as well as the other cleanser and was very gentle and non-drying. Different smell all together, not cherry. So far so good. Like it.
