This product is a unique one, i will give it that. The texture of the foundation is very thin. It has a silicon in it (which typically i really like in a makeup). My pores arent too terribly big to begin with, but i can see how this product would work to reduce pores. I however, couldnt even leave this on my skin. The weather is getting cooler which for me means mega dry skin. This itched on my face like crazy! I would definitely not recommend it for anyone with dry or even combo skin as the dry areas would definitely be accentuated. The other negative part of this product is the color selection. Now i would be interested in testing a lighter color in the summer when my skin gets much less dry. The color i had a sample of was Light Beige and light beige it is not! Funny i tested this on Halloween because i was thinking, well at least i could do myself up like a pumpkin! Yes, it was that orange. I would never be able to leave the house this way. Again, maybe a little better in summer months.
I did test adding my Select Moisture Cover concealer by MAC on top of eyes, etc and it did blend into is flawlessly which was a plus. But i would never buy this product for my kit as the reviews for it are way too up and down. Recommendation: Never buy this product without a sample first.

I picked this up for cheap at Marshalls and was excited to try it. When I first used it I was extremely happy abt the coverage. My pores did look beautiful...but...after abt three hours it looked hideous on my skin. Pools of foundation in the pores is not a pretty sight at all! I tossed this!

This foundation is extremely silicone-heavy, and has the same dry oil feel of many primers on the market. It's designed to mattify and camouflage pores, both of which it does fairly decently but only for about an hour or so. When first applied it emphasizes any dryness or flakes, and pretty soon after it begins to fade and becomes greasy. I was also disappointed that I was unable to find a decent color match as the lightest shade is far too pale for me, and the next one too dark. This isn't awful, but there are much better pore-masking foundations out there.

I'm perplexed. I have oily skin with very large pores. I have been using Prescriptives Virtual skin and liking it. However, when I read about a foundation that actually minimized pores, I had to give it a try. The color was not a good match. That was not, however, the worst part. The foundation seeped into my pores to the point where is looked like I had pools of accumulated foundation. Is there something I'm missing? Rather than minimize pores, it actually accentuated every pore and every line on my face.

This is a pretty good foundation for people with big pores. I was introduced to it for my oily skin and it did do the trick. The applicator is strange, it's like a little pad. It does blend in nicely with my skin though, not sure about the pore minimizing part

The last post, stated it made poers largeer, maybe it was someting you used before the foundation. because this stuff rocks for minimizing pores.I use this only on the poers and then on cheeks and over top, my other foundations, depending on the day or time of year. but I hope they never stop making this. If anything please make better color choices and slightly more coverage. Although this seems to cover well, I still have freckles showing etc. But this is the only sort of product out there like it. Jerome Alexander made something similar. No Longer. so ladies learn to work with this, or they may discontinuie it. And it is a must in you collection. It's that airbrushed look in a bottle!!

Sad sad sad...I got this as a sample and my cheeks and forehead looked LOVELY, I mean FLAWLESS...I was ready to toss my revered Bobbi Brown to the crows. Then I looked at my nose and chin...the foundation had settled into the pores and they looked terrible. I tried so hard! I patted a little extra into those areas to see if it would even out, I tried powder...alas. This did not work for my large pores. But for people with smaller pores, I totally recommend trying a sample. I think this can be fantastic on the right skin.

Am I the only person with combination (mostly oily) skin who has the worst time with foundations turning orange or even starting out too yellow for my cool, pale skin tone? I just got some Joey Pure Pores foundation in Porcelain, and so far it seems too good to be true. I have it on all day and don't see any orange or oil showing through. It really does minimize pores, and makes skin look smoother. I tried this because of the good reviews I read here at MA, and would recommend this to others who have the same problem with foundations changing color. Although the Porcelain is probably a bit too light for me, I also use Bobbi Brown loose powder in light, which I love, to set my makeup, and since the powder is a yellow it goes great with this neutral foundation color. Did I already mention how nice the texture of the foundation is? Like everyone else I thought it seemed watery at first, but it gives great coverage without feeling like a mask. Edit: This was ok at first, but try wsahing it off at the end of the day. I could imagine a bunch of clogged pores from it; was really not worth it.

Poof! My pores are gone!!! I purchased this foundation at Sephora...on a whim. It was 50% off and my color was still in stock. $18 later I walked out with a new foundation. I was skeptical because the texture was watery, but I was wrong. It is super pigmented and covered very well. It did minimize my pores and made me look flawless. Halfway through the day I looked a little shiny, but a little dew never bothers me. My only concern is that it accentuated my flakey, dry skin. Overall I like it though!

I got a free sample in a catalog from Joey New York and tried the Light Beige shade. I love it! Went to an Ulta store right away and paid the $35 (yikes!) for a full size bottle. My skin is a little dry (especially my forehead), so a little moisturizer before works best for me. I have pretty large pores on my nose and cheeks, and this stuff makes them just disappear.

I received a sample of this via swap in medium beige - I don't wear foundation - but I saw the words 'pure pores' and immediately wanted to try it on my nose and t-zone area, where my pores stand out a little more than I'd like. I was impressed with the coverage, despite it's runny appearance - It did smooth out the appearance of the pores (didn't make them disappear) - my skin looked more even and almost flawless. I applied it over a tinted moiturizer and it still worked well. Regarding the wear, I don't think it stayed on as long as I'd hoped it would. Wouldn't purchase

It's a little orange which I think may work in the summer (making you look tan) but it may just look a little too plastic during the winter months. I don't really have huge pores but it did make my skin look flawless- I actually stare in the mirror begging to see pores (okay not really- but you get the point). A little runny too but I rec'd this in a sample packet.

Ok ...at first I thought I loved it. It went on like pigmented water (yes...that light) and instantly stained my skin with even pigment covering pores and giving my skin a porcelain look. I was in love (although the light beige name is a joke....it was orange thank you) I figured I just needed to find the right shade for myself. I spoke too soon....no more than one hour later...the foundation started sinking into my pores making them visible in a disgusting way.

What's te point of a pore covering foundaiton if it can't even withstand 1 lousy hour? Would never buy. Thank goodness it was only a sample.

Incredible coverage for such a lightweight product! This foundation feels almost "watery" but covers like a dream. I covers even better than my Coverblend cream concealer and provides a "non-made-up" look. It does a very good job at concealing pores. HOWEVER, its pore minimizing effect does not last as long as I'd like on my extremely oily skin (I'm talking skin disorder oily!), and I find I need to reapply late in the day to maintain a poreless look. The previous reviewer was right, though, about the very natural-looking, dewy finish you can get if you don't powder afterwards. ****UPDATE****: After wearing this on and off in both cold winter and hot, humid summer weather, I've downgraded this product. The pore-miniming effect lasts only about 1 hour on my ridiculously oily skin. After that, the product pools in certain areas and looks very greasy.

Like almost everyone else it seems, I, too, first tried this foundation via a sample packet from Sephora. Oh boy. This stuff is a $35 miracle! It really makes your skin look flawless. I'm talking perfect. I'm talking you look like a baby (in a good way :) I do think it is very well suited for those with pretty oily skin, as its consistency would highlight any dry patches you may have. It is very silicone-y, so you have to blend pretty quickly, but for those of you who are makeup savvy (as I'm guessing most of us MUA gals are) it is really a wonderful product. What's even nicer about it is that you don't necessarily have to set it with powder - if you go powder free you are left with almost a dewy look - very pretty, not oily looking at all. I get compliments on my skin when I wear this all the time, probably every day - NO JOKE. It is not heavy at all but really does a superb job of covering up any sort of skin discoloration (on those tired days, a little extra concealer might be in order ;) and it really does make pores a lot less noticeable. You do have to be careful because due to the high silicone content it does separate, so you have to shake the bottle. I find that it works best to shake it side to side, rather than up and down so the product doesn't get stuck in the cap. The bottle doesn't last too long, but slapping down that 35 bucks doesn't hurt so much when you see yourself in the mirror with this stuff on.

I absolutely love this foundation. First of all, the shade Porcelain is a beautiful match for my skintone. And, while I normally don't like spatulas in the handle of foundations (I prefer a pump), this one is great b/c I put it on the back of my hand w/the spatula and then use my foundation brush to put it on. With a brush and my Blot powder, this truly gives me a flawlwss face. Wonderful coverage, as well. Unfortuantely, I think this is better suited for someone w/normal to combe skin; seems to be a bit much for my very oily skin. Might try again during our cold winter.
