The good reviews for this product are from the old formula. The new formula is so heavy and greasy and sticky. It's terrible. It also stains your clothes immediately. Read reviews on other sites- same thing. I loved the old formula and wish they would bring it back. For now, I have found the CVS oil free faces is like the old formula.

I was running out of my Banana Boat Ultra Defense Faces SPF and haven't been able to find it in any stores. This was the only other option for faces, so I bought it. I only used it twice, and will be passing it onto a friend.
Pros:
Oil-free, fragrance free, slightly moisturizes
Cons:
Feels heavier than the Banana Boat SPF, clogs my pores & causes breakouts quickly.

I'm very impressed by this sunscreen because it feels and applies very well. It feels just like any other light moisturizer, not thick or creamy, but more like a thin lotion. It's very easy to apply the 1/4 tsp. on face required to get the rated SPF 30 protection. It absorbs quickly and does not leave white streaks. It does not feel heavy or mask-like on the face like Neutrogena "dry touch" sunscreens do on me. The finish is a little dewy on my normal skin so oily-skinned peeps might want to keep that in mind.
My makeup goes on fine over the sunscreen, no issues with it rubbing off in a visible way.

The estimated UVA protective rating (from the BASF simulator) is 8.6 PPD. That's not terribly high but it's on par with what you can expect for a US drugstore sunscreen.
Coppertone claims this sunscreen to be water resistant for up to 80 minutes.

All in all a pretty good product: easy to wear, decent UVA/UVB protection for every day, and at good price as well (~$8 Canadian).

i really want to make a review on this , i bought the 60 fps one of this , i only bought mine stronger . i think coppertone it a canadian brand so im like that has to work perfectly and its say oil-free , so i went at the drugstrore and i have very oily skin and acne prone , so on summer i really need to use a sunscreen , so im like its only 9 $ canadian , oh my god i was so exited to try it !! first time i put it , my face was oily , and it feels like a lil bit heavy , so i imagine wear this crappy sunscreen on hot day in montreal , OH NO !! and i learned that i cannot put this sunscreen on my lid cuz at the end of the day , it goes in my eyes and it burns ! but i will buy another sunscreen i think i will simply buy lise watier fps 30 for 38 $ ! i wanted to find an sunscreen that i less expensive than lise watier and will not feel oily on my skin !

i bought this because i was looking for a sunscreen that is not oily and that doesn't smell awful..basically...one that i would actually ENJOY using since we all know that we're supposed to use a large amount of sunscreen EVERYDAY, even in winter. i was hoping that this one would do for me but it didn't.

although it is slightly better than the other ones i've used (vichy, avene, neutrogena etc.), i do not like the texture and it makes my face shiny.

i do, however, like the packaging and the fact that it is oil and fragrance free and also contains vitamin A & E.

so if you don't mind the texture and feeling, it is definitely a good sunscreen.

I have combination skin so it's very important for me not to have anything really greasy on my skin because it becomes shiny and I break out. After reading some reviews I decided to buy it - simply because it was oil-free and I really needed a sunscreen for everyday - I am in love with it. Its really smooth on my skin, its a great primer before you put your foundation and I can wear it everyday to help against harsh UV rays. Its perfect - I would recommend it.

I love this product - it's $8, absorbs completely and doesn't break me out. I like it better than any sunscreen I've ever used. I apply a big glob after a light moisturizer and my skin looks great.

I really like this sunscreen it goes on very smoothly and sinks right in. It does not cause breakouts and is fragrance free. Overall a great product. I do wish that they would make a larger size because I use it on my arms and legs as well. It is a good moisturizer.

I really like this sunscreen and have actually purchased it three times already! My skin is mostly normal with a t-zone that's more oily and acne prone. Oil Free Faces goes on easily and doesn't have any noticeable fragrance or chemical scent, making it pleasant to apply. More importantly, it doesn't break me out, though I do remove it every night with an oil-based cleanser. I also like the fact that the sunscreen doesn't have an overly-dry or heavy finish. If you're oily-skinned, however, you may want a more mattifying product.

I have tried several sunscreens and I always return to this one. It does not leave a white residue at all and it is fragrance free. It goes on smoothly, absorbs well, is not greasy, and does not cause me to break out. I use this as my daily moisturizer. I am surprised by the negative reviews here for this product but that just goes to show that what works for one person may not work for the next.

For something that says it's oil-free this has to be one of the greasiest messes of spf I have put on my face, this sunscreen is horrible. As soon as i put it on i knew right away that it was going to be so oily on my skin, and it felt so thick. My husband even tried it when he was out playing golf and he even broke out from it and he never breaks out. I washed my face right away, because i knew if I left this on my skin i would definitely see some breakouts. Would not recommend this product even if their skin was dry. Don't buy this. save your money and search for something else....

Yuck. This has to be one of the worst sunscreens I have tried. I wanted something w/ more SPF for my face (using SPF 15 now), since we are outside a ton during the summer. Actually got it last year and have tried this mutiple times...the result is always the same. I don't think I have overly sensitive skin but something in this makes my cheeks burn really bad. It also made me break out, which is a total deal breaker as well. It says its non-comedone, hypo-allergenic but after reading these reviews with similar reactions I tend to wonder wth they were testing this on. It also does leave a greasy texture to your skin, makes it feel dirty and gross. Now I am back to square one on finding a face sunscreen, until then, sticking with my Oil of Olay SPF 15 and a big ole hat.

LOVE this sunscreen!
I was previously using Neutrogenas with Helioplex and it was a greasy, disgusting mess. This is sheer, very comfortable feeling, sinks right in and I got it for about $10 at SDM.
I don't need a moisturizer with this either!
Def recommend for others!

I only use this because I found it in the beach bag in the closet. I will finish it up, but I won't buy it again. It feels very greasy, and makes me look shiny. I've also had problems with it making my skin peel. It can also burn if you put it around the eyes... It does the job, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I used to use this all the time when I was a bit younger...I had to cut the grass yesterday so I grabbed a new bottle and applied it. After about five minutes it began to BURN and my cheeks became very red and inflamed. I suppose I had some sort of adverse reaction to it. Even so, I found it didn't absorb very quickly and left my face feeling a greasy. Definatley on the look-out for a new sunscreen for my face.

I have very acne prone skin. I am always trying to find a sunscreen that won't cause break outs. This one isn't it. Make my face look shiny which means I can't use it in day to day life and when I went swimming it burned my eyes.

I got this to wear during a vacation to Florida. At first, I was really pleased. It went on nicely and absorbed well, so I wasn't left with an oil slick. I was able to wear light foundation and powder over it, and it looked quite nice. The problems started a couple of hours after I had put it on my face. I was not sweating, but I guess it sort of melted into the skin, and it began to seep into my eyes (even though I had not put it too close to my eyes.) Then began an hour of intense burning and watering. Even after I flushed my eyes with water and washed all the sunscreen from my face, they were watering and burning terribly. When that stopped, I still had swollen eyes for hours. So, needless to say, I will not be using this again. It's kind of a shame, because aside from the issues with my eyes, I think it's a good product. I just can't see the point in using a sunscreen made for the face if I can't get it anywhere near my eye area.

So last week was spring break for me and I had several trips to the beach and pool planned and realized that I didn't have any sunblock in the house except this. Considering the face is the most sensitive part of the body when it comes to washing/moisturizing/taking care of in general... I figured I could use this on my face (since it says for faces on the bottle) and the whole rest of my body since I figured normal suncreen for the whole body makes my face break out but this sunscreen that is supposed to be for sensitive faces that even says on the bottle "DOES NOT CLOG PORES" would be fine to use on the rest of my body. Boy was I wrong.

First of all, when I was sitting in the jacuzzi (an hour after I had applied this) I noticed bubbles around me that were foamy creamy-white yet no where else in the pool. The only thing I could think of it must be the sunscreen. Went in a different jacuzzi the next day, same thing. This stuff doesn't even stay on which boggles my mind considering that if theres one place on my body that I don't want to get sunburned, it's my face. And I would expect a coppertone sunscreen to do that. Especially when it says it for faces!! It's supposed to stay on not wash away in the water!!

Another problem I had, and I'm going to say this problem is worse (because even though the sunscreen came off my body and into the water I did not burn ebcause I was not out in the sun for too long anyway).. so the bottle says it doesn't clog pores. Well it didn't on my face atleast. And I guess if you're using it for your face then fine, but don't even consider using this elsewhere on your body. My whole body, Im talking my chest, my neck, my arms, my shoulders, my legs, everywhere (but most noticebly my chest and neck) had CLOGGED PORES!! I didn't even know I could get clogged pores in all the places that this sunscreen actually did clog my poser. I had bumps all over me that looked like a rash and felt like I had a weird bump disease that finally just went away a week after I got them. How irratating! I don't know why a sunscreen that is supposed to be so gentle you can use it on your face would be so terrible at wearibility and clog pores all over my body when it specifically says i huge letters on the front of the bottle that it does not clog pores! wtf?!
I will definitely never use this on my body again and as for my face, it didn't leave my porse clogged and my face didn't burn but I'm going to assume that is only because I wasn't in the sun long enough to burn and I will not give the credit to this sunblock for my face not burning considering I could see it litterally leaving streaks from my body into the pool while I was in the water. TERRIBLE JOB COPPERTONE!!!
