This is it. This is my HG, and I can say that with 100% confidence. Every time I use this, I pray to the Cosmetics God that they do not discontinue this line. Iman Second to None Stick Foundation in Sand 3 has been the best product that has come into my life.

I pair this with Make Up Forever HD Pimer and I have flawless skin for the entire day. I've sweated in the gym, the club, during intimacy, and the staying power is great. There may be some transferring so be careful with that. Stick foundation, in my experience, blends best with your fingers. Just wash your hands with bar soap when you're done and it's like you've never used them to apply. It blends smoothly and well but ONLY if you moisturize/prep/primer before you put it on...or else it can get streaky, but you're supposed to do all that stuff anyway before you apply any kind of foundation!

Coverage is medium to heavy. I use it as my under-eye concealer as well, and it takes away the redness in my face. My face has pink in it but the rest of my body does not, so it was always a pain to match it up, but Sand 3 works perfectly for me. My friend even commented that she couldn't tell where the foundation starts on my neck/jaw!

The interesting thing about the packaging is that there is more inside the tube after the initial tip wears or breaks off...there's a whole lot of it left! What you do is take a thin wooden stick (coffee stir or popsicle) and just scoop some out, then rub it between your fingers to melt it a bit and apply. It's my favorite way to use it, I get the best coverage this way. This way, one little tube lasts me months.

This matched my skin tone perfectly, which is awesome as i have very dark african skin tone. The only con is that it is a bit difficult to bend in with a brush and i find i have to spritz my face with boots glycerin and rosewater to blend properly. On the whole i would definitely buy again as its a perfect match for me after a wide search for perfect foundation color. It also gives a wonderful matte finish after blending with the spritz.

I've been using this product for a couple of yrs now. It's is my go to foundation when ever I am in a hurry. I also love to use this foundation during the summer. It dries to a powder so if you have dry skin you may need to moisturize before hand. With this product make sure your face is flake free! I like to apply it as a tinted moisturizer. I swipe each side of my face twice and then dot my chin, nose and forehead. Mixing it with a moisturizer makes the product spread easily and also gives a very natural and even coverage. For days when I need more coverage I just swipe more heavily or I mix a very small amount of another full coverage foundation with it. I always get compliments on how good my skin looks when I apply it as a tinted moisturizer. It gives me a flawless finish, but you can also mix it with a primer to get an even more flawless finish. I also like to use this foundation as a base before layering on another foundation before going out in the evening. It's also good for concealing under eye circles. It doesn't break me out and it last all day. I can even workout in this without it fading. Transfer is not major at all. It's worth a try.

After seeing a couple of youtube videos where the ladies raved about this foundation, I decided to give it a try. First of all the price, I think its simply too high for a drugstore product. But I swallowed my pride, and close to $15, and decided to get it. The texture is horrible, so hard and stiff, and dry, absolutely impossible to blend. Second, the color was HORRIBLE. I went to Iman's webiste before I purchased this, and she said that if someone was NW50 they should get Earth 6 in this foundation, which I did. It straight uo looked like mud on my face. So gray and ashy. It was disgusting. Never again! It went back to Walgreens the next day.

Nice foundation on other people that ive seen but it made my face look like I had a mask on or a light layer of clay around my face...I tried 6 different colors (thanks to Ultas wonderful return policy allowing me to return colors if it's not correct) and none of her colors worked for me In the stick foundation.

Bought the stick in Earth 7 from Morleys in Brixton, the MUA recommended this over the liquid foundation and took my Black Opal foundation off and put this on, together with Iman oil free moisturiser and primer. The colour and coverage was great.

However like a few other reviews I too have noticed that this gives creases around one side of my mouth and under both eyes (which never happens if I use my usual liquid foundation (Black up)

Im not sure if I would purchase this again, but for colour match and coverage its amazing!

This foundation is great its a creme foundation but dies matte . The finish looks flawless , if you use a foundation stick or a blending brush and it will look fablous . My only problem is that i have oily skin and when my skin gets oily this does not look good it looks cakey and i hate that . If you have dry skin then this might be good for you. i brought two earth 1 and clay 4 , clay 4 was my shade but didnt cover any of my dark spots , earth 1 was great it covered my dark spots . So for women with oliy skin this is ok but u will have to blot .. Im nc50 in mac studio fix fluid and earth 1 or clay 4 would be great for u .... i paid about 14.99

I think this is my go to foundation. I do need to moisturize because it's quite matte, but the buildable coverage, color range, and ease of transport and application answer the mail. I don't fool around with primers, concealers, powders, bronzers, etc. Just need to even out the occassional hyperpigmentation from a breakout. This looks good on my caramel brown, afro-american skin. Finding it a Target is a winner too! I'm done - unless something changes...

I've heard wonderful things about Iman's stick foundation, so I decided to give it a try. I was intially turned off by the packaging as it doesn't allow you to see the actual foundation, and the colored labels don't really do the foundation justice...but I went to Iman's website & they have tools to assist you in finding your tone. I decided to try Earth 2 (I'm MAC NW45/NW47, depending on the season). I couldn't wait to try it when I got home so I got right to it!! The color matched perfectly...I mean PERFECTLY!! I didn't have to play the mixing game or try to lighten/darken it with powder or bronzer. It blends smoothly & looks very natural. I was able to build the coverage in areas where I have acne scars that are still healing. I have a few "beauty marks" that I didn't want covered, this foundation allows them to show through. It gives the look of an even skintone & healthy skin, period. Now, I have very oily skin and this does nothing for oil control, but Milk of Magnesia has been my HG for that ( (I tried it without the M.O.M. to see how it would work). All in all, I think this one's a keeper. I just wish it would go on SALE from time to time!!! SHEEESH!!! lol

this foundation was almost perfect! i have very oily skin and have been searching for a foundation that keeps my oil at bay to the point where i dont have to touch it up during the day. this foundation came through...the oil control is amazing!! the coverage was also great. i have hyperpigmentation and this foundation alone covered the marks very well. however my gripe about this foundation is that it dried out the area around my eyes so bad that i looked like a raccoon. it was quite embarrassing. i looked in the mirror and it looked like i hadnt even applied any foundation around my eyes. being that im dark around the eyes, it was NOT a good look. i loved the foundation and didnt want to give it up so the next morning i loaded up on extra moisturizer around my eyes hoping that would solve the problem...it didnt. i then tried applying moisturizer around my eyes again mid day and then reapplying more foundation around my eyes... that didnt work either. still a short while later the dryness/darkness came back.
UPDATE: 8/30/11
while in Ulta, i noticed that the boxes of these had a red label that says "now enriched with minerals". i realized that they were new revised ones. the review above is for the original one in the plain brown box. i picked up a box of the revised one, hoping to get better results. i was very disappointed to find that the revised one is even worse than the original one. at least the original one was easy to remove..the new one took forever to come off!! i had to wash my face 3 times and then wipe with a soft cloth which i hate doing. once again Iman has revised a product only to make it worse than the original. i also dont like the fact that her color chart is not consistent. in the cream to powder, im clay 5. however the stick clay 5 is a little too light for me and the next one up which is earth 1 is too dark/red. all of the earth colors have red in them. my skin tone is medium brown w/ yellow undertones. i guess Iman doesnt realize that not every brown skin woman has red undertones. she really needs to incorporate some cool colors into the earth line. if she wants to revise something else..that would be my suggestion!!

This is an excellent medium to full coverage foundation. In fact, you don't need a concealer when using this foundation. The cons are that it is very thick and oily on my skin and in turn transfers on everything. Right now I am using this as a concealer and it is working pretty good for that. I will not repurchase since I need something that isn't oily and thick.

I finally tried this foundation and I loved it! I purchased 3 shades including the darkest shade which is great for contouring:

Pros - great undertones for deep complexions, smooth creamy texture thats easy to blend

Cons - one of my colors broke after only 3 or 4 uses at a photo shoot which kinda made the product packaging seem cheap.

Make sure you set this with a powder for long lasting results. Great formula for oily skin.

Maybe mine was defective? Because it matched my skin so perfectly that I didn't see a difference? I tried it several times with the same result- ultra light coverage (I applied a lot) with no staying power. Anyhoo, if this product were re-vamped, it would be super. I so wanted to like this product bc several others in this line are so pigmented and so good.

I tried EVERY shade in the Clay range and not one of them match. They were all either too yellow/olive or orange! I did not like the consistency of it either it was hard to blend and the coverage wasn't great either. It also had me looking very ashy and I have extremely oily skin. I am now using her cream to powder in Earth 1 (very little because it is waaaaay too dark to wear alone) I mix it with Maybelline Superstay Honey Beige both have the red base I need for my undertone.

If it wasn't for the consistency of it I would have considered buying the stick foundation in Earth 1 but because I need to mix it with a lighter shade I think it would be really hard to blend it with another foundation. Oh! well

PROS: Full coverage foundation that is a perfect match for my skintone, 'Clay 2' (tan w/ yellow undertone - my former HD foundation was Prescriptives Virtual Matte 'Fresh Tan 08'). Conceals uneven skintone amazingly, creates a flawless even complexion. The shade tends to look even more natural by the end of the day. Excellent for my oily skin; the foundation goes on smooth and dries like a powder matte. It controls my shine for hours. Requires minimal blotting throughout the day. Does not break me out. When I wear it my skin is able to breathe, I forget I have anything on, it *feels light to me even though it *looks very made up. It has great staying power, although it naturally can transfer onto clothing, the transfer is less than other foundations. I get a lot of compliments when I use this, and the compliments are usually from makeup artists for other brands. I've actually had MAC artists comment on how beautiful my foundation is, then ask me what I use - I think that's pretty phenomenal when you've got an artist representing another brand, giving this a thumbs up. CONS: Sometimes the creme stick can slip out of the tube - this has happened to me maybe once or twice. So be careful when opening the tube, make sure it's upright! Aside from the packaging I don't have any complaint about the foundation itself. The only reason I'm still searching for another foundation (preferably liquid) is because I've begun to notice fine lines around my eyes, mouth, forehead etc, when I was younger matte worked perfect for me, but now that I'm older I find that the mattified look seems to enhance my fine lines, making them more noticeable (especially in the area under my eyes). As stated, the creme stick goes on very matte, and even though it's a creme it's dry - which is a great thing for oily skin, but not so great for my wrinkles. I still give it 5 stars because it's AMAZING stuff if you don't have concerns about fine lines.

This was my favorite foundation, but then I tried mary kay..... but anyways this is my fav. Iman foundation(so far). It matches my skintone very, very well, and is oil free, so it doesn't make me more oily. But the problems that I have with it is small, it transfers a tad bit and sometimes my face itches when this is on. Also the name on the package wiped completely off, but that's not a big deal. When I wear iman makeup I fill like it makes you look "made up", and that's not always the look that I'm going for, but when it is I reach for this. Nw45 mac(too red), Mary kay bronze 607, iman earth 3

update: I haven't worn this in about a month because I was wearing my mk medium foundation and when I went back to wearing this I notice that it does have a red undertone, not super red, but it is red, which I don't like so my mk in 607 is a better color match not as red as this is

I finally found an iman foundation I liked. I tried the second to none powder and the creme to powder foundation and hated both of them. This foundation stick is wonderful.

I got sand 4 and im around a nc 40/nc 42. I wish the color was more yellow less beige but It blends in well. It provides medium coverage and it last about 7 hours on oily skin and controls oil well. The foundation is very matte, which may not be good for those with drier skin, but on my very oily skin I never have to blot off oil when using it

It does rub off on clothes, and has no SPF which I love because I hate white cast in photos.

This was expensive for a drug store foundation ($16) and it was hard to find in stores, but I love it so much I am wiling to order it.

I love it!!!

I almost had a complete fiasco at a photoshoot. Keep in mind it was my first photoshoot and I had never done makeup on a girl so dark. I had decided on a Revlon product or the covergirl queen collection. I was set. I get to Walgreens ... No covergirl queen collection! (Typical) and I didn't feel like the revlon was dark enough. I start to hyperventilate walking up and down the aisle on the phone with my mom I turn my back to catch my breath and there is Iman's beautiful face in a small corner of an adjacent shelf. I grab the one I think is the closest to my models complexion and pray the whole way to the shoot.

It was fabulous. I could use it with my sponge AND brushes. It blended so well and the pictures turned out amazing! I credit my setting powder concoction (I mix brozer with Ben Nye setting powder btw. Works great on ethnic skin). I got lucky picking this foundation and I plan to go back for more. It is very cost effective but very good quality. I have no trouble with the packaging and actually like that its a stick foundation because you can use it as is or easily scoop a little out to keep it sanitary for repeated use.

You'll love it.
