This isnt actually a concealer, therefore it doesnt crease anything, nor will it cover. It adds a bit of brightness, and makes you look bright eyed and bushy tailed. So just a little pick me up after a long night out.

If it is used correctly, then it is swell.

I picked this up on a whim while shopping the other day. I have my fair share of highlighters and brighteners but I really loved the texture and consistency of this one. Alone it moisturizes and reflects light away from under the eye; then I popped some concealer over it and BAM! Beautiful coverage with a fantastic lightening property.

Its watery & very opaque. When used under my eyes it did nothing to actually brighten or improve (my eyes are deeper set w/ slight darkness). I had high hopes since smashbox hardly ever disappoints & I've had great luck with other eye illuminaters in the past but sadly this one is prettier in the tube than on your face.

I'm on my second tube already so its very obvious that it works great on my medium/dark skintone. This is simply an undereye brightner and is not a concealer. I apply it over my correcter before I set it with powder. Or sometimes when I go without any foundation or bb cream I apply just along my orbital bone and it gives me a more refreshed look. A little goes a long way as it took me an entire year to finish off my first tube. Very happy with the results I receive.

I have used Smashbox in the past and have always been impressed by their quality of cosmetics. This under eye brigthener however, did not deliver.
I bought it to diffuse my dark circles, I knew it wouldn't erradicate the problem, I wasn't expecting miracles but I thought that it would atleast brighten under my eyes if used in conjunction with my concealer. It did not.
The product comes in a 7.1ml plastic tube with a screw wand which has a smal brush attached at the end to apply the product. It's a very light sheer creamy illuminator - seems water based but I'm not sure if it is or not.
It has quite a sharp cosmetic scent for a light small product but it wasn't irritating for my eye area.
The colour is a very pale peachy pink with very fine silver glitter particles within the product, the glitter isn't instantly noticeable as the product has more of a sheen rather than sparkle. The product itself is sheer once blended, I wouldn't say it's buildable and one colour suits all.
I also found that after you open the product and have used it after a very short while you get build up around the wand which is dry and sticky, so i have to clean it before use which results in a lot of product waste. I personally didn't like the product and failed to use it for something else i.e as a highlighter for brow bone as it just does not deliver. It is now in the bin ;( I wouldn't recommend.

I did NOT like this product at all.. it is soooo watery ! It makes my under eyes shiny and the coverage is nonexistent... When i have dark circles, they're usually very light but this ''concealer'' can't even cover it, imagine what it would do on very dark circles.. I don't recommend this product to anyone and it is very expensive considering the results. Maybe you could use it as an highlighter but i did not try it and considering the watery texture, i'm not sure about the results.

This does a good job of brightening under my eyes. I often get dark circles so I use this before I apply concealer and it brightens the area and helps the concealer to work a lot better than if I was to use concealer alone. I have not used any other eye brightening product so im unable to compare this to anything else but I am very happy with this product and even though it's in a small tube it does last a long time as I don't need much. It can be layered and layered depending on how dark my circles are.

Love the texture of this and the way it brightens the undereye area without settling into any fine lines. It is definitely a brightener, not a concealer, so if you are looking for something heavy duty this is not the product for you.

Its an ok brightener/highlighter it is very subtle, but it works just the same as ones from physicians formula or e.l.f, so for the price it is not worth it and I would definitely not buy it again.

For what this is I like it very much. It is not a concealer. It is a moisturizing light highlighter. There is no glitter, just a bit of shine and is not over the top. I use it on top of my concealer and it has never settled into any lines. Dab it down the middle of the nose and some on the cheeks. In photos it definitely perks up the face. In person, no one is going to notice it is not your own glow. Edit-May 2013- I
have learned to use this and other highlighters on top of moisturizer and underneath foundation. Softer glow is what happened and like it better. also use on the little area on top lip peaks.

If you have really bad dark circles, this is NOT the product to go to. It is pricey for a small tube and it does not do what it claims to do. Instead I use this as a highlighter, on top of my cheek bones, under my eyebrows and around my nose. I receive many compliments when I wear this as a highlighter. If you're dark circles aren't too bad then maybe this product will work for you. Otherwise if you're looking for a heavy concealer, don't waste your money on this.

First of all if you think this is to cover your under eye circles, just walk away now. It won't do anything for that. The consistency is like a sheer shimmery watery lotion (no glitter just shine). It's okay as like an inner corner highlighter, but even for that it isn't that great. I literally can not see it do anything AT ALL! I'm a medium light skin tone and I can NOT see it on my skin whatsoever, It really is a waste of money. Would not buy again.

I'm really loving this! I started having dark circles and some under eye baggage due to lack of sleep/allergies, both of which get progressively worse throughout the day. I started experimenting with correctors/concealers and didn't really like the way they looked. I'm just used to not much makeup under the eyes. I gave this a try and WOW what a huge difference! The things that set this apart are the thin texture, subtle but noticeable shimmer and the universal color of the base. The thinness of the formula makes it glide onto the skin without caking up in my fine lines. I apply foundation, Photo Op, BB Creamy Concealer and then set with BB Pale Yellow powder and it really brightens the under eye area and gives an overall more healthy glow to my face. I use this pretty much in the entire under eye area and I add more at night on top of whatever is on my face to "freshen" my makeup. This never gets thick or cakey looking. This stuff works great for what it's designed for. If you have really dark circles and bags, I don't think this would be the right product for you but if you're like me and just need something to freshen up the eye area and distract from some slight darkness, try this!

This didn't work for me at all. Its too dark for my skin (NW15) and it is not the right consistency for using under the eyes. It could be used as a highlighter on darker skin tones, but its really not worth the effort. I'm sticking with benefit high beam.

I have tried to apply this product in a million different ways but do not like it however i have used it. The swab allows way too much of the product to come out and makes it feel a bit watery on the skin. The times I have used it I have put it on my finger first and then applied it. It basically gives sparkle under your eyes even with foundation and concealer over it which emphasises the dark circles. I have also tried to use it as a lid primer for eye shadow, and even though I tap it in instead of rub it, as soon as I put eye shadow over it everything starts to peel. I have used it on the inner corners of my eyes which works fine but if it is only for that it is not worth the money. Instead i usually use a tiny but of a white sparkly eyeshadow and dab it on the inner corner. Works just as well as an 'eye brightener'.

Got this in a swap and I really like it. I think the people that don't like it may be using it wrong. I only add it to the inner corner of my eye and down. Not the entire undereye area. I also pat it into that area. Rubbing will not work. I find this works well for me. Almost reminds me of Benefits High Beam. So maybe if the undereye part don't work for you, maybe use it as a regular highlighter.

I use this as a primer and I think it's effective in that sense. Since using it, I hardly need to use an undereye moisturizer as well. If my circles are pretty bad, I'll dab it over my concealer and it helps make my dark circles less prominent.

I love this! The way I use it is under my eyes, on top of my regular concealer. It gives a very faint shimmer, and a definite lightening/brightening to the under eye area. It doesn't settle into my fine lines at all, I think it makes them less noticeable. When you put it on it's not super noticeable-but when you take it off, you can see a huge difference! I use this every day and will keep buying. I'm fair skinned and it works perfectly for me. I think it could probably be used as an all-over highlighter as well.
