Been wearing this for years and I still love it. I've tried almost every lash primer out there and they can never compare to this product.

Received in swap. Brush gets too much product on it = gets gloopy. It does nicely lengthen my lashes prior to applying my mascara, I don't notice any additional thickening. Its OK, but I won't purchase = too $$ for not enough result.

I usually hate two step mascaras.. And i tend to always go back to lancome.. however, i had a cheap moment and got this for free as a gift so i tried it out for a couple of months (one end is this, other end is esteee lauder mascara).
i can honestly say after 2 months, my lashes look fuller and longer. just healthier overall.
i dont think it makes a huge difference as far as giving you more volume or whatnot but it definitely has something good in there thats working for me.. which is why im going to repurchase a full version.
good stuff.

I have short eye lashes so I need this to define my eyes a bit more. A little goes a long way and you can really notice the difference to your eyelashes. They look thicker and longer and it stays on all day. I got a sample after I had purchased some other things and I fell in love with it. I'm not a false lashes kinda girl and this gives me the natural look that I like and does a great job!

While all of my favorite mascaras are Clinique, I adore this Primer from Estee Lauder. I find the formula is smooth and glossy without making my lashes break of become brittle. I use this in layers with my High Impact and High Impact Extreme mascara from Clinique.
I feel that the brush that it comes with also dispenses the product evenly (a problem I had with the Clinique primer). I will go back to this again and again.

I have been using this lash primer for years primary to keep mascara from slipping off my lashes and underneath my eyes. HOWEVER, in the past year or so I've noticed that the effectiveness is wearing off. I'm getting undereye smudging more ofter and itsdriving me crazy! Have tried numerous combinations to fix the problem: eyeliner? mascara? My conclusion is its the primer. Would appreciate any tips on better primers 'cause this just ain't doin the trick anymore.

I've been using this for a couple of years now and it has solved a real problem that I used to have. My eyes and lashes are pretty sensitive, and I found that my eyelashes were falling out all the time because of being coated with mascara in the morning and scrubbed clean at night. Ever since I started to use this primer my eyelashes stay put - no more clumps falling out leaving bald patches. My lashes are in good condition and the primer doesn't seem to have much effect on the mascara I put on top either way. (For the record I use Turbolash which is wickedly expensive but stays put in spite of the fact that I have very oily eyelids by the end of the day.) So if you have a problem with lashes falling out, this might solve it for you too.

Got a deluxe sample of it. I use it as a mascara base also use it at night. As a mascara base it does nothing to my lashes except making me feel better that my lashes are protected. I notices that it actually bring the curl down after I applied the mascara. Too heavy maybe? However, it's nice to use as a treatment. My lashes seem well conditioned. I loose less lashes during the day. After almost a week of using it as night treatment. My lashes look a little bit fuller and a little bit longer. But not enough to impress me to purchase a full size. Beside, I really don't like the brush head. It's too big and too sharp. Completely annoying when it comes to applying. I hurt my eyes every time when i use it. And you have to brush 5 or 6 times because the brush head just won't coat the primer on your lashes.

I have been searching for my HG mascara forever & bought this after being a bit disappointed following a purchase of Estee Lauder's "Turbolash". I bought the primer in the Duty Free shop at Dubai airport as part of a set as they were out of stock of the primer on it's own. The other item in the set was Magnascopic mascara. I was very excited about trying both items, believing that if the combination of the two didn't give me amazing lashes then nothing would!
Oh dear......
The primer went on fine but after applying the magnascopic on top of it I was left with a horrible, wet, clumpy mess. Instead of making my lashes look long & voluminous they looked like I only had about four of them, and there was no lengthening effect at all :-(
I tried the primer under the Turbolash & thankfully didn't get the clumping but nor did I get any miracle lengthening & thickening.
The Magnascopic didn't clump when used alone but, again, it didn't give me the lashes I was hoping for.
All in all my experience with Estee Lauder mascaras was very disappointing and costly. The quest to provide length, volume and depth of colour to my short, fine blonde lashes continues.

I bought a small sample of this on eBay, and I'm sorry to say that I'm underwhelmed.
It's by no means a *bad* primer, but I think I prefer MAC's Prep + Prime Lash. Lash Primer Plus seems a bit on the dry side, and I don't think it adds as much length as the MAC primer does.
I'm not sorry I tried this, but I think I'm going back to Prep + Prime.

The first time I took it out the tube, it looked white and had a really thick consistency. I only put on a thin layer as I was concerned that it would just clump on my lashes which was what it seemed like with my first application. However, after I had applied my mascara the white primer disappeared. After using this primer now for a week, I noticed that my mascara application goes on well and lashes evenly dispursed and does not clump together. After curling my lashes, they also last all day. It didn't irriate my eyes either.

I only received this as a sample and I have not yet purchased the full size. So far so goo though. I find this primer is thinner than many other lash primers that I have tried which I like because I have fine eyelashes and most of the other primers I have tried are too thick and clumpy. The mascara seems to stick nicely to this primer and I find this does help my lashes stay put so I think I'll by the full size one the sample is finished.

I've gone through a couple of these the last three years. I love it. It thickens the lashes a lot and they don't feel as stiff as when I use mascara without the primer. I think it protects the lashes too. My lashes look sooo long and thick with this primer. I can't live without this product. It's a must-have.

I really like this product. It definitely makes my lashes look longer and seems to stop the mascara from smudging which normally happens towards the end of the day. I have had no problems with it being clumpy and certainly haven't noticed that it smells of anything in particular. It doesn't go on bright white like I think some other reviewers have expected, as the idea is you put it on before your own mascara. My tip would be not to leave on too long before applying mascara, approx 60 seconds is sufficient otherwise it can be a bit difficult to apply over once it is too dry.

I know its expensive but I really like it! It keeps my mascara on my lashes, and not all over my eye area. One really weird, but not in a bad way, is it makes my lashes super silky and soft. When I'm not wearing mascara, I often fine myself lightly running a finger over them (I know it probably irritates my lashes but oh well...). Its on the expensive side but I really like it. Its not thick or goop-y. It goes on mostly clear and sometimes if there is a clump (which rarely happens) it does look white but the second you cover it with mascara, it completely disappears. Works great!
