This didn't work for me. I have dry-ish lips - not horribly chapped or cracked, but dry enough for me to start searching for a good lip balm. A lot of balms/treatments/glosses dry out my lips - even things that other people swear by (Kiehl's, Burt's Bees, Clarins, La Mer) and this was no exception. I thought it was priced *okay* at $12 for a tube (compared to say, $50 for La Mer, or $20 for Laura Mercier), and I liked the non-wasteful packaging. This lip "moisturizer" is a clear, non-fragranced gel. It goes on a little shiny, but it's not super "wet" looking. At first, it felt great on my lips; they felt comfortable and smooth. Within a few hours, though, my lips were dry and peeling. Adding more of the M&G just continued the cycle. I can see using this at night and then exfoliating the dead skin off my lips in the morning, but I won't continue using it as a regular balm/treatment.

I've already bought two of these. Wonderful product. Not sticky or heavy, yet very moisturising.

Just bought it and I have to say that so far I love it. It's slightly greasy and a bit sticky but not more than the other lipbalms (i.e. Kiehl's) around. I have the mojito scented one and I love it, t's a very subtle scent and it does moisturize pretty well. The dead skin pieces that I had are now gone and my lips feel very soft. I would definitely re-purchase despite the price (£10 in the UK).

Lip care HG. By far the best product I've purchased for my lips, and I have tried everything. I have the mojito scented one, which is super lightly fragrances (almost like lemon verbena), no taste, and the scent dissipates quickly, which i prefer. It's slightly glossy/shiny but not so much so that the bf can't use it. I find that it works best as a night treatment (put it on before bed, wake up to find the product still in tact on my lips with dead skin kind of gunked under it, which i just remove with a tissue.), but it does stay put throughout meals and drinks,

Really moisture. I haven't tried out any lip product better than this, but to me a student, it's a bit pricey. However, I brought it home when it having a buy one get one free student promotion. Wonder if there are more promotions coz this is really great.

This is a great lip moisturizer. I have used Blistex, Prada, Laura Mercier and La mer and prefer this over all of them. Highly recommend.

I used this on my severely chapped lips, and it was incredible!
I rely on Kiehl's Lip moisturizer for everyday use, but when the lips
get really chapped, this is the lip saving super moisturizer!
Get it!

OMG HG! Seriously, I've been a victim of chapped and dried out lip for the past two years which made it impossible to wear lipcolors and look flattering. I've tried many lipbalms including Carmex, Blistex, Lypsyl, Rosebud Salve, Alba, Aquaphor, BeFine, C.O. Bigelow, and I have to say this is IT! Notably, I have to mentioned for some reason I never tried Kiehl's lip balm, but a previous reviewer claims this to be better. I am so content with this that I won't even try Kiehl's.
Tip: Use it overnight and the monring after. All it took was two days for me and my lips were horrible
Within TWO days, it's gone and I feel as if my lips doesn't even get that chapped anymore. I apply it overnight and only sometimes in the day.

LOVE this. Have gone through many unfinished products in search of my HG lip conditioner. They all seem to only make my lips worst. Well not M&G. I have gone through 3 tubes and they last for ages. Got my mum hooked on this too. Only problem i've found is a slight odour appears after a while, perhaps it was just a bad batch. Oh and Aus$35 so bit pricey but worth it if it works.

this is my first purchase from malin+goetz, and i have to say that i'm pretty much hooked on it!
it has quite a thick, lip gloss type consistency, but isnt sticky in any way. it definitely delivers on its claim of moisturizing lips for up to a few hours, and i love that it also gives a glossy sheen. my lips have been in a pretty bad shape recently, and they're so dry that they itch and crack. after the first use of m+g's lip moisturizer, however, my lips became really soft, and there's no sign of previous dryness at all :D its as if my lips shed their ugly, dry layer.
im really really pleased with this product, and for sgd 22, i'll gladly be purchasing this over and over again. with the amount you need for each usage, and for the results you get, this is SO worth it. please don't ever discontinue this product!!

This is a SUPER balm! Exceptional moisturizing quality, stays on your lips for a long time, provides a glossy finish. This is not even close to many other lip balms I tried. I think it is a good value for the money.

This is possibly the best lip moisturizer I've ever used. It's not at all sticky or greasy, sinks in almost immediately and the moisture lasts long after it's worn off. There's no obvious scent and the tube it comes in is simple and sanitary. It's glossier, thicker and overall better than Kiehl's #1, which is another of my favorites.

I think I have literally tried almost every lip product available in the US and Canada and this is by far the best I have found.
For reference, here are some other lip balms I have tried. Aquaphor, everything drugstores make, Kiehls, Biotherm aquasource, Lancome, Burts Bees, several from Sephora, La Mer, Laura Mercier (a close second), Clinique Superbalm, Prada, Nivea, Shisedo, Avon, can't remember the name but the ones from B&BW (C.E. Bigelow or something like that), MAC, several organic brands frm health food stores, Benefit lipscription, Clarins, Darphin, Chanel...several others I'm sure.
Positives: Squeeze tube, unscented, no tastes, clear, leaves a nice shine, clear gel-like texture - not greasy or sticky.
Negatives: Not available many places (I got mine from Barney's), expensive (12.00 USD for a small tube). I also wish this had a slanted tip for easy application.
Overall, the best I have found.

I lovelovelove this lip balm.....has a nice glossy finish but yet still a moisturizing lip treatment.I will most def be buying it again after going through so many lip balms looking for the right mix of shine without stickyness.I love the way it glides on.You barely need any so it's actually pretty well-priced considering how long it will last. The only slight downpoint is a few hours after application it can be a little drying....
But I'm in love.Adding it to the my HG's.

This has been my HG of lip moisturizers for over 6 months. Keeps my lips moist and does not dry it out. A lot better than Kiehl's. I've already purchased a back up.

so, i tried this in a store and immediately fell in love with it. or so i thought.i go back to the store and buy it quickly and happily.once i actually try it again, i realize that it's NOT all i thought it was. it's too gooey. and for that $12 or whatever it was i spent on it, this stuff is not worth it. blistex is better...

Just when I'd thought I'd tried every lip product under the sun, along comes M+G lip conditioner. I was about to buy a pot lip balm as an impulse item at Barney's and the SA steered me to this one instead. I feel as if I should send her flowers!
This conditioner is wonderful. It's smooth, non-sticky, shiny, and luscious. It stays on really well and has no fragrance or taste (not that there is anything wrong with fragrance and flavor in a gloss, IMO. This one happens to be unique because of that lack, and it's a nice change of pace)
I'm really impressed. It's the only M+G product I've ever tried, but if their other stuff works this well, I'll try additional items soon.

I have very sensitive skin and without fail, most lip treatments give me either terribly chapped and itchy lips or a red line around my mouth. Generally, I use vasaline. It's cheap and very effective. This, however, is the bomb! It shiny, gorgeous, and very soothing. It doesn't have any taste (which is the plus for me) and it leaves no funny sensation in my mouth, which may be the most annoying thing about most lip balms/conditioners, etc. It's $12US for 1/3 gram, which is mighty expensive, but I think it is worth every penny. Hands down the best lip goo I have ever used.

I'm very impressed by the Malin + Goetz Lip Moisturizer lip treatment. It's sold in a small (one-third ounce) plastic tube, and it has a unique gel formula that moisturizes well without any greasiness. It's very effective, it's easy and hygienic to apply, it's fragrance free, and it has that cool, no-nonsense Malin + Goetz packaging. I vastly prefer it to the over-hyped Kiehl's #1 lip balm, which is essentially high-end Vaseline. (One of the M + G guys, Matthew Malin, originally worked for Kiehl's, so perhaps he realized that there was room for improvement on that product!)
