I bought this product for my daughter. My daugher had this horrific case of eczema and general rashes. She was in middle school and suffered from the raw red look on her inner arms. After getting the right medication she still had some mild flare ups and some skin that was discolored. Because she is a cheerleader she was embarrassed to go out in public during a game without some kind of body makeup. The dermablend sales women at Macy's in Boston were amazing. They helped my daughter get her confidence back. She no longer needs to use dermablend to cover these areas. She no longer has this awful rash or scarred tissue. Her skin is back to normal and she is doing fantastic. But this stuff is amazing. Honestly I am beyond thankful that there is a company that makes products for people with scars, rashes, blemishes, birthmarks... God Bless Dermablend.

So,now you know the history let me tell you a little about this powder. I do not know what is in it but it lasts. I have tried this powder on top of all my foundations on days that oily ones and this powder really sets the foundation. It is really meant for the dermablend products but it works for me. I do not use this every day. In fact more like once a month on those pms times of slick skin. At first when the sales lady added this to our pile of dermablend products I thought, oh this is just some overpriced powder. No, seriously it is pretty good stuff. Powder does not work the same. I am not sure what is in it, but it works. It truly sets and helps the foundation to last.

I have in in the lightest skin tone color, clear and white. All works wonders.

If you have truly oily skin but you love the way your foundation works. I recommend you try this dermablend powder on top of your foundation. Go on line, u-tube or visit Dermablend to understand how to use it. It can really help your foundation last 12 hours.

Why did I give it 4? Becareful that it does not break you out. Be sure to really remove the powder. I also do not know the ingredients and wonder what else is in it.

Good oil controlling powder and make your foundation transfer proof. But this broke me out because it basically contains only 2 ingredients talc and methylparaben. Talc in such a high consistency in a powder can cause break out on sensitive skins. Dermablend also sells a talc-free one that is called numasque talc-free loose setting powder and that is as good as this one and does not break me out!

It doesn't really make a difference to me with regards to how it made my skin look but it did add to the staying power. You have to be patient when applying it though. I'm not very patient and I'm on a hurry a lot so this product isn't for me.

While I'm not crazy about all the other Dermablend products, I really like the Dermablend setting powder. After using a different brand of foundation, I'll dust on this setting powder, and it has a lot of lasting power. It helps keep shine at bay, and I find that I no longer have to reapply my makeup during the day. I just use oil blotting paper a few times during the day to keep the shine away. I used to use the blotting paper constantly, but with this setting powder I don't have to use as many.

I use this to set my dermablend cover creme. I have very fair skin, and when I first apply it it makes my skin look grey and dull. However within ten minutes or so it blends with my skin tone and looks very natural. I think it sets well at first but doesn't last the whole day for me, and I don't have particularly oily skin. It is patchy and blotchy by the time I've finished work.

I like to use this product because I have an oily t-zone and like to use heavy liquid foundation which leaves my face as shiny as they come, but this completely removes the shine and leaves it matte and works very well from keeping the makeup rub off! My only complaint would be that it makes my makeup sometimes look a little uneven and gray in spots.

This mattifies well, I use it over liquid foundation or just over moisturising cream to mattify. Lasts long. The downside is it's all talc, so it clogs pores.

Have to say it works for me!...i dont use dermablend foundation I just use this powder over my tinted moistuiser and concealer and it looks nice and natural and lasts the day with maybe a touch up before home time when i have to face my public! maybe its too much to use with the dermablend foundation which is very heavy anyway but with a sheer liquid foundation or tinted moisturiser you're laughin ;)

The setting powder complements the Dermablend foundation in that it does sets the makeup and does not budge. I'm not crazy about the texture and the need for oil-based cleanser. The powder vanishes onto your skin after it dries and once it melds with the heat of your face, you look flawless. Make sure you have no dry patches or flakes. Even with my dry skin, I get shiny and oily in a few hours so it is not doing its job. But I will definitely wear the duo for a big event, it does make your complexion perfect. Let's face, this heavy, full-coverage combo is not for every day wear.

This is by far one of the worse powders I have ever tried !! I bought this to set my dermablend cover creme, but it ended up just making me look like a clown! The powder isn't invisible at all. If anything, it looks like you dusted baking powder or flower on your face!! Definitely a waste of my money!!! >:(

Ok so everyone is saying its just talc, maybe it is talc but it works pretty good for me. I bought the colored powder in cool beige after a SA put it over the smooth indulgence foundation & it made my skin look more alive. The SI foundation made me so pale & white (which iam) so i wasn't sold on it but after she put this setting powder over it it just looked so nice & my skin tone was even for once! It is a bit pricey but its a HUGE jar so it will last me many times over. Ive seen smaller jars of other brands sell for more than this so im not going to complain about the price tag. Im going use this over my other foundations & see if it works just as nice, so i'll update as i go along.

I use the origional and it is very light and silky. Helps set the dermablend i use before perfectly and gives it great staying power.

I had purchased some dermablend foundation a year or more ago that didn't exactly work out so well - the lightest shade was too dark. Go figure! Anyhow while I was doing some spring cleaning I came across the powder and thought, why not give it a try. After all, at least I know it won't be too dark. So I threw it on over some tinted moisturizer and concealer and voila! Invisible t-zone control! Don't get me wrong, I still love my MAC studio fix when I need a little bit more coverage. But for absolutely undetectable oil control this stuff is pretty amazing. And it doesn't get that cakey build up look that other pigmented powders can give you. Perfecto!

Ummm..have you read the ingredients list? IT IS JUST TALC. That's IT....just talc. So it's pretty lame of Dermablend to try and pass this off as some "special" powder that's worth dropping $$ on. Please. This stuff doesn't do anything...it can't even keep the oilies away for more than an hour, tops. Total crap IMO.

I had a sample of this that I had been using as a "Death Powder" for my special effects make-up...need I say more? Just got the large jar in a swap for an upcoming zombie movie I'm working on in a few months. It does a great job sopping up the oilies and stands up to humidity but if you are looking for a loose powder to set your make-up MAC invisible powder is a much better choice.

I know it's "just talc," but this setting powder works better for me than anything else that I've tried. Sets makeup perfectly (and I don't use other Dermablend products) and keeps me matte through the day. I'm very fair, but have no issue with the color, or lack thereof.

I'm hooked.
