meh.... really really average product. which surprises me considering its a high end brand. 30 minutes after you apply it a layer of skin comes off. thats exactly what it does. and my lips become drier than before. I prefer my cheap blistex way more. stay away.

Just a basic clear gloss. No healing benefits. Way overpriced.

Since Murad is a brand for skincare I was expecting more from this lip... thing. It's definitely not a treatment! At first it was nice. It went on smoothly has a nice scent but i didn't care for the taste. Not a bad price to pay for something that would help right? Well, it lasted about 30 minutes and when it was gone my lips felt HORRIBLE. My lips felt sticky, rough and dr. Not helpfu at all! And for what it cost??? Ridiculous! I found a much more efficient balm (it works that way for me personally) and gloss with NYX. And that was a fifth of the cost. The only use for it is as a gloss and a bad one at that for how long it lasts. Never again!

i was super excited about getting this from sephora. im a lip balm addict not much for lip gloss but i decided to give this a try. the only reason i guess i feel like its overpriced is because i didnt really like it. it smells great and the tint was perfect, but my pet peeve when it comes to lip products is the stickyness and thickness of it. i even asked the lady at sephora if it was obnoxiously thick and she said no, that she loved it. i dont like how i feel like i cant move my face cuz then my hair will fall into it lol. i guess im really just not a lipgloss person. but aside from the sticky, it didnt last long and i would have to reapply often. either way my money was wasted cuz it popped in my purse lol..thats what i get for going out of my comfort zone!

I got this and tried it and it was fine. My daughter has had problems with sore lips and even had cream from the doctors, which didn't resolve her problems long term. She has taken this off me now and she uses it every day and she hasn't had any more sore lips. She thinks it's great and so do I. It also has an SFP which many lip creams do not have!

I got a small tube as sample and i have a love/hate relationship with it. It smells yummy and gives a shiny, glossy finish with a hint of redness. However, it becomes messy when it got stuck with your hair in the wind! Staying power is good if you dont eat or drink. I would stay up to 2+ hours. It does moisturize my lips and with this on, i dont need to wear lipgloss/stick!

{edited} it dried my lips out! made them patchy :( gna chuck this away!

I generally like Murad products, not only because they don't test on animals but also because they actually work. This Lip Protector, however, is not Murad's best work. It's decent but doesn't last long on the lips and as soon as it is gone, my lips are cracked once again... Kinda feels like vaseline.

I bought this because of the brand and pretty color/packaging. However, it's really a terrible lip balm - it doesn't moisturize my lips, and actually leaves them feeling drier. The balm/gloss just sits on my lips and, granted, makes them look shiny, but that's about all it does. I returned my tube to Sephora - it was just that bad.

I do not like this lip treatment at all! It was so expensive and such a waste as it did not help with my dry lips. Its just like any other cheap clear lipgloss that u can get at the 99cent store. i even think Some 99cent store lipglosses moisture last longer than this.

So I got a mini tube of this free with my Murad Oil-Free Sunblock spf 30. I was excited to try this as I had run out of lip balm and was using the L'Occitane 100% shea butter instead...

I was exceedingly disappointed. Within minutes of me putting this on my moisturised and non-chapping lips, it became dry and started to chap! Surely that's not the point of this product? I notice a few people have noticed this and I don't know whether it is just my skin type. Anyhow, I wouldn't repurchase and I wouldn't recommend. If anyone wants to try this out for themselves I would be happy to post this in the UK. Waste of product otherwise...keep in mind I Have used this 3 times.

I adore this lip balm. It moisturises, and soothes my lips. It made them so soft, smells so good and I love the tiny touch of colour. I LOVE IT!

I got three mini samples of this from Sephora and I was super excited to try em out. I used them for just over two weeks and I just don't understand what the product is for. It isn't moisturizing nor does it have any colour to it. It's basically like an over-priced clear gloss with a fake and horrible flavour. It tasted like crushed TUMS... You know that artificial flavour? Disgusting. I will not purchase this ever. The only reason I'm giving it one lippie is because it didn't give me a rash or anything.

I always suffer from dry lips, particularly in the winter. As a result, I'm also always on the lookout for new lip treatments. I got this as a free sample from Sephora and used it liberally 2x per day for about a week. I used it in the evening because I normally wear lipstick or gloss during the day. By the end of the week, my lips were so dry they were literally cracking and bleeding. It was painful and unsightly. I bought a tube of Aquaphor a few days ago and now my lips are buttery soft again.

I don't like this. It feels very greasy, sticky, and thick. My hair is constantly sticking to my lips whenever I have this on. And IMO, it smells like plastic. Not attractive whatsoever. When it wears off, my lips feel exactly the same, if not, drier and more chapped than before.

I received this lip gloss as part of a set, with a sunblock and reusable tote, so I'm not sure what the price is normally. I like the color, which makes my lips just a little pinker, and it is glossy without being sticky. My complaint is that it doesn't moisturize my lips. After a day of using it, my lips have dry, peely skin, which doesn't happen while using chap-stick. The squeeze container is useful, and lets you see how much is left.

Love the taste and smell. Goes on smoothly and is moisturizing. Only 4 lippies because it is fairly pricey!

I love this product. Although it is rather pricey, there is a LOT of product, and no matter how much I use it, the package looks full! (I've had it for 4 months now and have been applying every day.)

Although people are saying that it looks like petroleum jelly on your lips, it really doesn't. You only need to put a thin layer of this on your lips and the glossiness stays on for around 2 hours. This isn't like MAC lipglass where the gloss is incredibly shiny and shimmery. This is very sheer and after the gloss is gone, it leaves your lips very moisturized and with a pink tint!

I love this Murad product to DEATH. I highly recommend it. :) You won't regret!

I got this for free (yay!) so maybe that is swaying my review a bit. It is more of a gloss than a balm as it is very shiny and pretty. Gives my lips a light pinkish sheen. It is not at all lasting, even for a lip gloss - that suprised me actually. The taste is great and I love the fact it has an SPF in it so this will be great for spring and summer. It is pretty tacky and sticky. It just doesn't do a whole bunch. It doesn't moisturize any better than an actual lip gloss, nor does it treat chapped lips like a lip treatment should. Your lips need to be in perfect shape in order for this to look decent on. Packaging is cute and it has an angled tip. Again, I like it, but I would not go out of my way to purchase this one. It just isn't worth the cost.

My oh my oh my...

This SUCKED the moisture out of my lips. It looks, feels and definitely smells gorgeous when I put it on but after it gets eaten, you know how lip glosses tend to, my lips are left very dry and almost painful. Weird because I thought the jojoba was a nice touch. :X

I wouldn't buy this again but I will use it up because it does have sunscreen and it does smell lovely - I ran around sticking this under the noses of my friends whenever I put it on, haha.
