my favorite nail polish shade. it looks beautiful on my nails when theyre shorter, but it can be a bit too vampish when theyre long. it doesnt streak and there is a ton of color payoff from just one coat. I do two coats and it looks like a really beautiful shimmery dark plum. its very sophisticated and pretty. But...I do not like it for pedicures, for some reason when I used it on my toes it did look a bit brownish. I think it looks a lot better for manicures, because I could not detect any of those brown undertones just a plummy wine color. very weird, maybe because I used thicker coats for my manicures.

Sassy Satchel is a gorgeous dark shimmery burgundy wine color. Other people have said that it looks browner on them than in the bottle but on me it looks plummy raisin/burgundy in color and not too brown at all, which I love. It looks the same color on me as it does in the bottle, it doesn't chip easily, and doesn't streak. However, Sassy Satchel seems to take longer to dry compared to my other Essie n/p but that doesn't really bother me.

I love this one! It is shiny, but not sparkly - a very even fishish. Perfect for winter and winter holidays! Spreads smoothly and looks perfect. Takes a bit longer than what I am used to to dry though - hence one lippy off

I first picked up this polish looking for a dupe to OPI The Changing of the Garnet. It is very close, about as close as I've seen so far.

However, the color is a nice wine/maroon color with subtle shimmer that gives it a sort-of metallic look. Like car paint. There is no gold flecks in the polish that I can see. (much to my dismay, since Changing of the Garnet has such nice gold flecks)

This is a nice autumn color and I can imagine wearing this polish during fall and winter with almost any outfit.

Sassy Satchel is a great color, at first i thought it was a deep burgunday (from the looks of the bottle) but its more of a brownish when its on. I had it own for 4 days and still no chipping. the price was 7.00 bucks with isnt bad at all... I wore two coats and thought it was fine, anymore and itll be too thick and wont dry correctly. (of course that is with any polish) i would recommend this to anyone who loves deep rich colors. also it reflects shimmer silvery reddish tone, not matte at all

I just received this in a swap and love it. It does not show up on your nails, the same color as it looks in the bottle. In the bottle, it looks like a deep burgundy with a shimmer. On my nails it cames out more of a brownish-burgundy, and the shimmer is a barely visible cinammon shade of shimmer. I think it looks great and complex. Essie polishes glide on with a smooth, with a gel like consistency that is wonderful. One coat of Sassy Satchel was streaky, but 2 coats is perfect...rich and glossy.

The quality is great, bhut this deep brownish-burgundy color just does not flatter my fair skin tone. This is probably the only Essie polish I own that I don't really love. It would look great on someone else though.

I really love this polish. It is much darker than I would normally go..but even as a pale gal I can really pull it off! I get lots of compliments when I wear this too. Many from unexpected people! This is one of my favorites. Now that it is getting warmer, I doubt it will be out on my fingers for awhile..but during the winter and fall months this is perfect.

Sassy Satchel released as part of Essie Fall 2006 looks like a deep browned burgundy with gold shimmer in the bottle. This applied much browner on me than the bottle. More like a brown raisin with slight gold shimmer. The only salvageable factor and reason why I did give Sassy Satchel a good rating is the shiny glass like finish. The gold shimmer didn't really show up, it actually looks more like a glassy creme finish which I quite liked. The brown color doesn't really "do it" for me. Application was smooth and easy, good coverage with 2 coats. My manicure lasted about 2 days with OPI Ridgefiller and Essie Good to Go top coat before I started to get some tip wear.

I was looking for a great fall color and I think I found it with Sassy Satchel. It is a dark brown-burgundy with subtle burgundy shimmer. Coverage is perfect with 2 coats and I did not experience any streaking. Looks like it has a plum quality to it in the bottle but the plum does not show on your nails as much as I was expecting. HTH -- this is my first polish review :o)

This is the color of polish I have been looking for and have never been able to find...until now.
Everything was either too red/orange, too brown and dull looking, or too purple. This is the perfect combination. It's a deep brownish burgundy with some shimmer and goes on beautifully with two coats. It's the perfect fall color and would go with just about anything I think...a very nice, dark neutral.

This is a beautiful color that's a perfect neutral: equal amounts purple, brown, and burgundy. It's also sort of a sparkly. A great fall color.

Pretty chocolate-burgundy shimmer, like a previous reviewer said! It doesn't really seem to *do* anything for me, though (I'm NC30-35). I'll keep it because it's pretty on its own and I don't have anything too similar, but it's not a HG for me.

Pics:BottleNails (this has been on for 4-5 days, so please excuse the tip wear!)

Not usually a big Essie fan but I got this and CMIYC, and this is my fave Essie. Deep chocolate burgundy with some red microshimmer, nice even application (which is normally the problem I have with Essie) and the depth of color and shimmer is really something. I love it.

Vampy nail polish fans...I think you'll like this one! Sassy Satchel is a deep chocolaty-raisin shade with subtle burgundy shimmer. Nice even coverage in two coats, this is a wonderful vampy shade for tips or toes. Sassy Satchel is part of the bag inspired Fall 2006 collection.
