I purchased the large bottle (40 oz) at Costco and boy do I regret it. I have a relatively oily scalp, and while this shampoo makes my scalp feel clean, it dries out my hair a lot and makes it fall flat. I use it with the Garnier Sleek conditioner which usually does a good job on my hair.
The smell is ok and the price is low but I much prefer Pantene volume for a volumnizing and clean-feeling shampoo.

i've been using body envy shampoo and conditioner for well over a year and i quite like it, but maybe it's just because i haven't used any other shampoos lately? either way i blow dry my hair upside-down afterwards and it's always fluffy, i always get compliments on my hair :3 plus it smells amazing

Adds a very small of volume, not much worth mentioning. But it smells great. I have been using this and the matching conditioner daily.

I love the smell and color, they're so fun! It doesn't really add much volume, so in that aspect, I gave it a four. I'm also kind of bummed that their isn't a joke on the back of the bottle. Overall, it's a really good everyday shampoo.

I love the smell of this product but I wouldn't say its the best shampoo out there. You have to use the conditioner with this else it will dry out your hair fastttt.

Works great for my fine hair and gives it a boost. Also washes out great and leave my hair clean feeling throughout the day.

Worth the money but saying its the best shampoo out there is an overstatement...

When I first started to use this product, it worked pretty good, it made my hair shiny. Didn't really do much for volume though. But after a week or two of using it, my hair got really dull and my ends got really dry. The only good thing is the smell. Will not be buying this again.

I would buy this product, if not only for the smell. Maybe I don't have the right kind of hair for this product, but it leaves it kind of grossly shiny and flat when I'm done washing. The weighed-down feeling leaves only if I blow dry my hair- then my hair gets pretty nice and fluffy. But I am pretty wary, because it gives my hair that kind of smooth waxy feel I'd rather avoid. I really do love the smell, though.

I have lots of oily hair but the strands themselves are fine. My hair falls flat and I'm always on the hunt for products that beef it up. I almost exclusively use shampoo designed for volume and have tried just about every shampoo my Walgreens has to offer. This stuff smells good, cleans well, and makes my hair fairly shiny and smooth but it didn't do a lot for volume. Since I hate throwing products away I decided to try and use it up faster by lather/rinse/repeating. Washing my hair the second time made a big difference in the volume I received. My hair still got pretty oily by the end of the day though. Overall it's not bad if you repeat wash, but there are better volumizing shampoos (clear scalp volumizing shampoo is my new HG, highly recommend that one!).

i used to have Hello Hydration- Herbal Essences but i decided to use something different. my friend told me this shamppoo was amazing, and it was on sale for like 2 .49 at shoppers drug mart , so i took 3 - HUGE MISTAKE. this shampoo, is awful. i bought the shampoo/ condition ( 2in1) , and it makes my hiar so god damn dry! it just makes me frizzy, although the smell is really good and fruity, who gives? it's the product that completely sucks.

Would I buy again? Hell NO!

Can you get the same effect in your own kitchen? Yes! Use some Ajax dish soap and add in a cheap melted candle from Target. Apply to hair. Try, just try to rinse. Voila. Same effect.

You ain't gonna get body unless you want waxy body, see above.

Folks, this stuff is cheap for a reason. Smells okay if you like wildly fruity.

I love Herbal Essences Hello Hydration but wanted to give this a try. I like to try new products quite a lot and normally find myself wasting money because of it. This shampoo was no exception. This is one of the worst shampoos I have ever used. The first time I used it, I kind of liked it. The smell is not that good and kind of smells fake and nauseating. After the second or third use, I started to notice that my hair was literally being stripped of any oil and moisture that it had.

While shampooing, my hair was incredibly tangled and just felt dry...with water and suds all throughout. After the shower, my hair would look very dry and gross with no life to it at all. This is probably a good clarifying shampoo to use once every two weeks, but not for a daily shampoo-er like myself. It is just too drying.

It is such a shame because I bought the huge pump bottle at my local Walmart and basically wasted money because the bottle is now sitting under my bathroom sink. I will not use this again unless my hair ever feels gunky enough to be stripped of dirt (and oil...and moisture...and anything else...maybe even strip some hair out too). Don't recommend because I simply did not like it.

I haven't used Herbal Essences in a long time, but I picked up the Dazzling Shine shampoo while in London, and since it was so good, I tried this one. It worked really well for about 2 months, but then it started drying out my hair a lot, and also gave me dandruff. Unfortunately, this is after I decided to buy one of the large containers and is going to take me forever to finish, or I'll just end up tossing it. This product is a waste of money, and the conditioner stops making a difference after a while too.

I tried this as an experiment a few weeks ago. I thought I would like the fragrance. WOW did I hate this shampoo! First of all, as you apply it to hair, it feels slick and slimy. It was nasty, and I tried it a few times to be certain it wasn't just a misperception. It lathered stupid--that's the only way I can describe how it felt; as if the bubbles were flowing through a channel of grease. As I rinsed it out, my hair felt dirty, and smelled bad, and there was some kind of coating left behind. While the packaging was alright, I didn't think it smelled anything like a tropical paradise. It more reminded me of a fruit that went bad but was trying to stay good, so it sprayed fruit-smelling perfume all over itself so the rest of the produce wouldn't make fun of it.
Yeah. I really hate this shampoo.
The only thing I envied that week were the people not using it.
So yeah. Bad.

Herbal Essences Body Envy Shampoo&Conditioner are two of five products from this volumizing hair care line. Much like None of Your Frizzness, this hair care line is inspired by traditional Asian beauty practices. The formula is "a fusion of passionflower sunrise and pearl. Asian women have used pearl powder to give their complexion a lift for centuries, but why should your skin have all the fun?" Herbal Essences also states that Body Envy will will "give your hair volume to keep things looking up with deep cleaning to remove buildup, while the lightweight conditioner helps to protect from damage without weighing you down". I purchased both products at Target for a combined cost of $5.28. Herbal Essences claims that they do not test on animals, but I've heard otherwise, so please check with a trusted source before purchasing. Herbal Essences is a widely available brand. They make their products in the USA from domestic and imported ingredients.
Body Envy's packaging is the same kind of recyclable, wavy plastic bottles with green pop up dispensers. The shampoo bottle is made of translucent pink plastic and stands upright. The conditioner bottle stands top down and is a bright, opaque orange. The shampoo bottle appears orange because of the color of the product. The background on the bottles features grey dots and silver swirls. The front of each bottle features the tagline "Lighten up, it's just a little volume." The back of each bottle features a full ingredient list, as well as some fun facts and other little goodies. I like the look of the bottles, but they're not the most convenient when it comes to function. While the dispensers don't gum up or clog, it's kinda hard to squeeze the conditioner out. Other than that I can't really complain.
Herbal Essences claims that the scent of Body Envy will "take your shower straight to paradise with our unforgettable tropical fragrance. Exotic mango and sun ripened peach give your hair a from the islands scent. Soft sandalwood completes our beachy blend. Now you're ready to make some waves!". Wow Herbal Essences! No violet! That's a first! But of course, if there's not violet, there there must be sandalwood. That's Herbal Essences logic. I wouldn't say that this scent makes me smell like I'm from an island or paradise or whatever, but Body Envy does smells pretty good. Mango&Peach sum up the scent perfectly. It's a fruity, warm, summery, tropical scent that lingers in the hair for several hours. It's nice but not quite as fantastic as some of Herbal Essences other scents.
Body Envy shampoo is a bright yellow gel with a medium thickness. I love Herbal Essences gel shampoos. They lather super well and you only need the smallest amount to wash your hair. Because of how bubbly this shampoo can get, you need to put in a little bit more effort for rinsing, but its not difficult to get out or anything.
The conditioner is is a light yellow with a slight green tinge. Though Herbal Essences calls it a lightweight conditioner, it's the same texture as all of their conditioners. A little bit on the thicker side, it doesn't spread through the hair super well, so you need to use more of it than I'd prefer.
So does this shampoo give you so much body and volume that it'll make other people jelly? Eh, kinda. My hair has a moderate amount of natural volume, so this doesn't give me a ton of extra body. You'll likely get the best results if you have thin, fine, flat hair. Though I don't get mad volume from this shampoo/conditioner, I think it has the potential to provide impressive results. It makes my bangs stand up almost straight, which is bad for me, but promising for the product. Body Envy also keeps my hair clean for 2 to 3 days. Actually I feel like it kinda dries my hair out a little. Perhaps since it's supposed to be deep cleaning?
Body Envy's conditioner doesn't really do anything unfortunately. It doesn't really detangle or moisturize like a conditioner should, but to be fair it doesn't weigh your hair down as promised.
I like Herbal Essence's Body Envy shampoo and conditioner, but I don't love it. My already voluminous hair doesn't really get more body from it except in the bangs, where it gets too much body and kinda looks crazy, but hey, that's what Body Envy hairspray is for, right? I won't repurchase Body Envy. Its slightly drying and doesn't give me super great results. It doesn't even smell ultra fantastic. If you have naturally limp hair, Body Envy might be a great choice for you from the Herbal Essences range, but if you have thicker hair, you might want to skip over this line. Except the hairspray. That shit is great.

Basic shampoo, I did not notice much different in my hair with it. The reason it is so good is because it smells SO DIVINE. When I use this stuff people will ask what perfume I am wearing. It smells that phenomenal. On the scent alone it is worth a repurchase.

With my fine, straight hair it doesn't take much to weigh it down and leave it greasy. I have tried many volumizing shampoos and conditioners and this is the only one I so far have found that works. It leaves no greasy residue, my hair is soft, shiny and managable and has a bit more life. Definately will continue to use.
Update: I have found Finesse Self Adjusting Extra Body shampoo and conditioner way better. I get volume, bounce and shine.

I used this line years ago and didn't care for it...it always left a film. After rinsing, hair still felt like it was coated. I decided to try the revamped line due to the scent; while the scent is great, it's made my hair fall out like crazy. I gave it two weeks just to make sure, but I'm now switching.

This shampoo and conditioner is ridiculous. I bought the big bottle from Costco so I had to use it for a while. It dried my hair out and made my hair all rough. It doesn't clean out your hair and it gave me dandruff.
