This is a nightmare.I have already written a positive review about this product but I deleted it because editing the old comment wouldn't just explain my experiences.
I got 3 shades of this lipstick.one was on discount and I loved the colors of the other two and bought them with their regular tags.
At first I loved everything about these.the colors, packacing, finish, feeling on the lips etc.I used the shade "natural honey" very often especially at times my lips became drier,as it is sheer and feels a lot like a slightly tinted lip balm.well, the fairy tale ends here.Everytime I wore that lipstick,my lips peeled off and felt terribly dry.no need to mention that peeled lips are painful. And I never blamed YSL for that result.I was like "oh well I have the flu anyway",it is normal to have such lips".but during few weeks this lippies were in my bag and I finally realised that they WERE the reason of the disaster on my lips.I don't have any dryness nowadays, and I always exfoliate and use treatments for my lips,as I love wearing mattes most.Obviouly Rouge Pur Shines are working terribly wrong on me.To be sure,I wore that again on the other day.it wears off quickly,so I refreshed it several times.with every refreshmant,my lips began to feel more and more tense. At the end of the day I was in pain and able to wear only the most effective lip balms for several days afterwards. So my point is proven.Whatever YSL is using in their formula is not something very pretty.I read Temptalia's review about a YSL lip balm and she had the same experience.I see that there are many fans of those but it seems like things can go wrong.Cosmetics often cannot be returned in my country so you can't go to the local retailer and say that their 30$ fancy thing has turned out to be poison for you.it took me a while to realize the problem so I wouldnt be able to do so anyway.
The best thing about this lipstick is that it doesn't last long ,since I would never want something like that to cuddle my lips for a long time.yeap,I am being sarcasic.will I buy it again ? hell no,I have already threw them in the garbage.

this is a lovely lip colour! it is glossy, shiny, deposits enough colour on the lip and is not annoying like a real lipgloss. i have very dry lips most of the time and this goes on effortlessly, and it hides my dry lips to make it look super shiny and beautiful.
i bought no. 5 which appears dark brown in the tube but goes on very lightly.
like the others have said, whatever it is in the tube it DOES NOT pump that much colour when applied (which is what i need for summer anyway).
i was afraid the brown would make me look aged but i think the shine keeps it alive on my medium tan skin.

wonderful!

I bought this in the shade Plum Fusion (#8 I think) and I absolutely love it! It looks horribly vampy in the tube to me (I'm more of a peachy nude girl) but the colour is true to the name and is sheer enough to be wearable. I normally stay away from sheer lipsticks because I have VERY pigmented lips but this still added colour and looked beautiful. It lasts for an average of 3ish hours on me but it fades well with no lipstick rings in sight! As for the shade I chose, it has very, very small bits of gold glitter but it doesn't look or feel frosty on the lips (something I hate), in fact it feels a lot nicer than some lip balms I've tried. It is expensive but I've found that I've saved money as I'm no longer looking for the perfect plum colour.

I was in Saks today feeling sad and pathetic and poor...so, after trying on sunglasses, fondling bags, and keeping my paws a respectful distance away from all the Prada and Marc Jacobs RTW, I headed to the one section of the store where I could actually afford something (cosmetics). I am actually not much of a makeup girl these days. In fact, at the moment, I own just two other lip colors (a Dior Addict lipstick and a Korres gloss). I like lipstick that is sheer, but highly pigmented and I was looking forward to checking out the new LM gel lipsticks, but the colors sucked.

The SA walked me over to YSL to try out these and I impulse bought #33 (wild blackberry) on the spot. It's a fantastic deep plum that looks almost black in the tube, but goes on wonderfully sheer. A little more warm in tone than ideal, but it's still quite pretty. The hint of shimmer in the lipstick scared me, but it's not noticeable on. It feels like lip balm and the lasting power is not bad considering the formula. I love it and even at $30 a pop, this is the kind of product that makes me understand why people are willing to drop half a paycheck on new makeup. I want more:) I actually think the packaging everyone else loves is kind of tacky/flashy...but the lipstick kind of pops out of the back of the tube, which is pretty cool.

I recently got this in a swap. The color I have is #10 Venus Rose. I don't own any YSL lip products and went on the Sephora site to investigate this color. I was bummed when I couldn't find this particular lipstick. But, I have to collect them. The feel/texture is expensive and you can tell this is highend. The lipstick just glides on so smooth and leaves the lips moisturized yet not the least bit sticky. The color #10 is a bit loud in the tube (hot pink with shimmer). But, on the lip, it looks very pretty, sheer and natural. I'm going to invest in the time and effort to search for these rouge pure shine sheer lipsticks and start a collection. The only thing that I have close to this texture is Dior Addict High Shine lipsticks. Even though I love my Dior, I have to admit the YSL is more desirable.

I bought this lipstick in Red num. 1 and itīs the most amazing lipstick I had in years. The shade of red is fantastic, it works for day and night, depending on how much you apply. It brightens your complexion like a ray of sun and your lips feel like feathers, light and smooth. The packaging is awesome and you can use it as a mirror, so very handy indeed.

I've got it in #26, Natural Beige. I've been searching high and low for a beigey lipstick that could work for a concealer-lips look without the 'oh, you look like a zombie' effect and that's it. It smells extremely good (a peachey and sugary scent that you notice really slightly), the packaging is uber-luxurios (though uber-cumbersome!) and the final effect on the lips is just perfect, natural and glowing. If you're looking for a sheer lipstick, I think you can't find nothing better than this on the market. Expensive as hell (I bought it at the average price of 25,70 euros) but definitely worth it.

I own #11, Pink Diamond and I love it so much but obviously many more women do because it's always out of stock!
I was nicely surprised with the texture as it's a lipstick I'd expect something different - but it is very smooth and more like lip gloss I'd say. It makes my lips shiny and hydrated almost as prefect like Labello does and stayes on for a long time. I also like the peachy smell.

It goes on your lips very smoothly, the texture is very light. but I found that somehow it dries my lips a bit. I have it in 31 Tuxedo Pink. It's fucsia pink. i like everything about it but the fact that it's a bit drying

I am in love with this lipstick! I got it in a great swap in #33 Wild Blackberry. It literally feels like there is nothing on your lips except for a moisturized non-greasy feeling. It's heaven as far as texture is concerned. It glides on with little to no effort. I can't speak for other colours, but wild blackberry is fantastic. It's more of a "just ate blackberry" stain than an opaque colour. Layer on a second coat and it becomes glossy. It can be a bit drying after because it's so light, but it leaves a pretty stain so just add some clear gloss or lip balm and it's revived. It does not bleed either. The packaging is very nice and luxe feeling, but a bit bulky. I don't mind that though. The price is high, but what I would expect from a luxury brand. I can't say enough good things about this and intend on getting different colours! I would definitely re-purchase this!

I recently bought a YSL fragrance gift set & got the mini of this lipstick in #10 (Venus Rose) as part of it. At first, I was really bummed when I saw the bright pink color. However, the SA at the YSL counter assured me that the color, being sheer, suits most skin tones. Sure enough, when I tried it at home, the color turned into a soft pink on my lips instead of the scary Barbie pink in the tube. It also didn't clash with my medium-to-tan Asian skin like I had initially feared it would. I LOVE how the lipstick just glides on your lips like butter & how unbelievably weightless it is -- you hardly feel as if you have lipstick on. I also happen to find the soft berry scent very pleasant, unlike some of the previous reviewers. In terms of packaging, wow, what can I say? Even the mini's casing looks elegant & lux, with its pink & gold color combo. This is my first time using a high-end department store lipstick & I gotta admit, YSL's Rouge Pur Shine really impresses me. I don't know if I would ever be willing to shell out the cash for a full size tube, though (considering I could get three or four drugstore lippies for the price of a tube of this in my country), so it's a no repurchase for now.

I love this lipstick it has a gorgeous subtle scent/taste and shows up more like a gloss really. Very smooth application, I have No 11 and I love love love it! It's a really pretty pale pink shade. Nice packaging too, though the gold does get marked/scatched very easily

Superlative product. Even thoiugh I was hoping for a gloss stick, this does apply smoothy and somewhat sheerly. The color lasts an amazingly long time and your lips stay moist. The case is so gosh-awful gorgeous I keep wanting to take it out just to look at it. Sweet tasting but no obvious fragrance.

I have this lipstick in many colors. I have pur shine in nr 10, 14, 15, 16, 19, 24, 25, 26 and 27. My favorites are 16, 19, 24 and 25. Will defitinely rebuy them. I care least for nr 15, this color isnīt really special and I hardly use it. Special plus is the SPF 15 and the nice packaging.

I bought this lipstick first and foremost for the lovely packaging and brand recognition. YSL has one of the best makeup packaging design and its products almost always look ultra lux. i got #11 PINK DIAMOND because I loved the pink/gold packaging. the bottom of the tube is pink plastic and it reminded me of a toy lipstick for barbie dolls. The color is pretty and sparkly..I do have to use a lipbalm underneath and a lipgloss over to give my lips more of a complete look. i bought it at sephora for $30 after much contemplation and several trips to just go and stare at it (i've never shelled out so much $ on lipstick. i never use it).. but one day i went in and there were NONE ...i asked the SA who found the last one..and you know what happens when the SA tells you ITS THE LAST ONE ... i wouldnt mind getting another just for eye pleasure. its great to care around in your clutch at night..it feels like your applying jewelry to your face..if that makes any sense

Wow, I just got this in pink Diamond #11 and I'm amazed at the quality, packaging , color, shine, moisturizing effects. This is the BEST lipstick I have ever tried. It goes on smoothly, has the perfect touch of shine and sparkle and finally, after years of searching for a pink that gives me baby pink color lips..I FOUND IT! Most pinks are too sheer and don't really give color..this is a keeper! BUY IT you won't regret it. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous.

Before buying this lipstick (which I picked up much cheaper online) I had read that they were pigmented, smooth, and smell like mango.

I fell in love with the packaging, and I didn't own a light pink pigmented lipstick, so I bought #11 Pink Diamond.

I was able to see a swatch of the color, which is the sheerest and most shimmery of all the Rouge Pur Shines.

On my lips, it is WAY more shimmery than I expected. It is actually quite frosty. It's also pigmented, which I am pleased about. If I was to wear this, I would have to wear a gloss on top to tone down the shimmer, which is in particles, not finely milled. edit - I like to wear this on top of a beigy nude lipstick - it creates a really nice nude pink lip, and the shimmer is subdued.

The cool pink would really suit blondes going for a barbie doll or 80s look. I am brunette with a light complexion, and it is not too cool for my coloring.

My conclusion- I would repurchase again in another color (but not for full price! it's almost $70NZD).
