This is so big and chubby for an eye brush, I have only been able to use it for a little blurring out harsh lines from eyeshadow, and putting on highlighter on the cheekbones. Not sure how much use I will get out of this, but it looks so cute I will just keep it :)

I really like this brush. its pretty soft an blends well. I would buy this again. I bought it at a CCO for $14, you can't beat that.

The #259 retails for $28, and it has been discontinued. I was lucky to get this at the CCO the hairs are soft. Due to the blunt flat tip you can place it exactly where you want it and blend and shade in specific places. The handle is thicker than some of the eye brushes, and it's great for firm grip. If I had to buy this again I would.

Not thrilled at all with this brush. For use as a shader, it's far too bulky and wide (and thick, too). It's also too stiff of a brush to be using for shading. Maybe as some type of a blending brush for those harsher colors where you cannot seem to get rid of the lines, but NOT for shading.
Since it can still be used for other purposes, I give it a 2, but the brush for what it's intended SUCKS.

The #259 is an AMAZING blending brush. I haven't tried using it as a shader brush but I have used it to blend out the rough edges of eyeshadow. It does all the work for you and so easily! I was using the #224 tapered blending brush as a blending brush for the longest time but it would take forever to blend because the hairs are so soft. I'll use the #224 to apply a light wash of color in the crease from now on rather than as a blending brush.
The #259 retails for $28 but it's so worth it because the hairs are soft. Due to the blunt flat tip you can place it exactly where you want it and blend in specific places. The handle is thicker so you can get a better grip on it as well. Would buy over and over again, but since MAC brushes hold up so well, I probably won't need to for quite some time!
