PROS: Lasts very long for not being a waterproof. Gives lots of great length and good volume to my very sparse and short lashes. Pretty Inexpensive compared to H.E. Last very well but still washes off easily. Holds my curl quite well.
CONS: Hard to find one that is of significance. The packaging does not need to be so long. Doesn't fit well into small makeup bags. Not the best one for just throwing on very quickly.
APPLICATION TIPS: Shiseido's primer (even the new one) helps this stay on with WAY less smudging/transfer/flaking. I am a recent convert to using Shiseido's popular curler too. This one looks better when I put it on in coats, rather than just one heavy coat. It also does better when I use a light, feathery touch instead of dragging the comb heavily through the lashes. I like to cover it with Clarins Double Fix to "waterproof" it.
ALTERNATES: The Rocket Volum Express, Waterproof (or some name like that) is good for volume and lots of length. For lots of volume and good length, I like Milani's Runway Lashes (but that definitely needs to be covered with Clarins double fix). I do NOT like the "shocking" version of this. Very meh for me.

This is great mascara! I'm using it for almost 3 years and I love it. It makes lashes look really long and separated and it is one of the best mascaras that I've ever tried!

Background: I have really pretty eye lashes. They are not super short nor sparse. However, I would never buy mascara, because it never looked quite right on me. I do not know if that makes sense. But for whatever reason, my eyes were not the right shape and the mascaras in the past always made me look... ummm weird? The mascara would either be REALLY clumpy or too spidery and not look natural at all. Which made me feel like it was more noticeable when I wore it. So yeah, I have experimented with quite a few mascara's feeling very frustrated...
Present: Until I found L'Oreal's Telescopic mascara. I have only tried their original formulated one. So, I can not say for the others. But wow, this mascara looks fabulous on me. It really made a huge difference in my life. I know I know... It is mascara. But this little gold tube has made all the difference in my confidence. I love how natural yet thick and long my eye lashes look. Anyway, I hardly leave reviews on here, but this was worth putting out. In case, I could help someone else and I hope I do. Just try it if you have ever been in the sort of situation(s) I mentioned earlier. I am completely sold on this product well worth my money. Loyal costumer going on 3 months and indefinitely!

I tried this mascara for the first time yesterday, I was SO impressed by how long my lashes looked and due to the tiny wand it was very easy to use BUT.... it doesn't last, it transferred to my top lid throughout the day which I hate.. shame, different formula I would most certainly purchase again.

I actually very much like this mascara and use it daily. I was looking for something that would make my lashes look long and separate them without clumping. It does the job. My routine is to curl my lashes first and then use Shiesido Mascara Base (keeps my lashes curled all day). I then do 1 layer of the Telescopic on each eye. Sometimes if I'm going out for the evening or want a more dramatic look, I'll layer Carbon Black Voluminous over it...awesome. Voluminous can be clumpy, but since my lashes are already separated by the Telescopic, it just adds some volume without the spider lash eyes. As for packaging, I love the nice long wand with the very short bristles on the brush...makes it so easy to get to my inner eye. And the flat wide bottom of the tube makes it easy to stand on my vanity. I will definitely buy this again when I run out.

It is awesome!

This review is for Telescopic Original, non-waterproof in gold tube. The color is black.
I was very skeptical about the wand with the almost-invisible plastic bristles. I had been a fan of (Discontinued) Lash Out with the teddy bear soft brush. I have naturally long abundant lashes, so I look for mascara that will darken and define and give a fanned out fluttery look. This did exactly that.
The thin wand actually made it easy to apply root to tip on both upper and lower and even on the top side of the upper lashes!
The formula is buildable; I usually do 2-3 coats without needing the eyelash comb.
The staying power is great. I've had no flaking or smudging.
I would continue to buy this as my daily mascara. I may even try the Blackest black or Carbon black for evening/occasion looks.

I'm a Mascara snob. i like the look of false lashes but absolutely hate wearing false lashes. Hate it! So i depend on a good mascara to give me that full, thick and dark lash. This mascara certainly comes extremely close to thst look. I've been using another mascara for close to 10 years. ive tried many others here and there but always went back to my hg. Not anymore now. I could totally wear this mascara for the next 10 years!

Love this mascara! It does what it says and I feel I don't need false lashes as much as once this is layered it can look very dramatic. Easy to come off with remover also.

For me, this mascara did everything I wanted it to. I guess you could say my lashes are on the longer side, but nothing coats my lashes like this stuff (I go more for length, not volume). The brush is very simple compared to other drugstore mascaras in particular, but it does the best of all the cheaper mascaras I've tried.
