For $1, you cannot beat this. I love and typically purchase high-end department store or Sephora cosmetics, but ELF makes some nice products and really, how much difference can there be in a lip gloss? Candlelight is a very frosty pale peach. Works okay by itself, although if you're pale like me it will wash you out. Also very nice over another lip color. Thick & sticky, but lasts a decent while on the lips. SPF 15 which is nice, and not too drying. Grape scented, but not obnoxiously so. These lip shines are probably the only products from the "Essentials" $1 line that I actually like. Very nice lip gloss, and so cheap you can toss them in your desk, car, wherever, and not worry about losing one. Will definitely repurchase!

This one is too frosty for my taste. It's a sheer peach with a huge amount of shimmer. Actually I think it's the same for shade Goddess.

I purchased this lippy gloss from E.L.F. online after reading rave reviews about the color, and I adored it from the moment I opened the box! It's the perfect golden peachy nude. It's not too shimmery, frosty, or flat. It's moisturizing, has SPF, lasts long, and smells like delicious grape! (real grape, not artificial dimetapp grape - yuck!) What more is there to say? Great gloss.

So, I got a pack of five of these for three dollars at Ross, and immediatly went home to try them out. This color is a really pretty nude that flatters my pale skin and brown hair. I really love the subtle shine it has. There are no chunks of glitter in this, which is great, because I hate glitter in my glosses most of the time. This color is so great for winter when I want to make my face look more put together and less dead. I feel like I could just conceal my blemishes, pop this on my lips, and walk out feeling okay about myself, which is always good. The packaging is simple yet practical. The squeeze tube is plastic and the cap is see through. The info is written on the tube, however, the words will rub off after a while. I definitely love this gloss and would pay way more then a dollar each for it. The whole like is pretty great, at least the ones that I've tried.

I love this gloss! The color is perfect for me...very sheer and a light nude shiny color that makes my lips look puckered. Its very sticky and thick but stays on my lips all day. It is perfect with a nice tan in the summer and i would use the candid coral blush to match. Def repurchase and i will grab some other colors next target run. It reminds me of the neutrogena gloss i have but half the price!

It is just slightly sticky, so maybe no good if you are planning to kiss anyone! I do like the colour, its nice and natural. I have a rosy skin tone and it looks nice but think it would be better with a tan. Love the SPF in it, the subtle sheen and nice simple packaging. It needs re-applying every 3/4 hours. One of my best buys.

This color is Sooo pretty! A great peachy nude, and I like that it comes in a tube. But this is soooo sticky. It smells amazing though . I would repurchase this, though the stickiness makes me hesitate.

I would DEFINITELY buy this again. its dirt-cheap but you get such good use and quality from it. it doesn't feel sticky, which is a problem with a lot of lip glosses. Also, it has spf 15 in it to protect your lips from the sun while still making your lips look awesome. I have this in more of a watermelon color and I'm in love with it. Its amazing! BUY!

Color is a gorgeous, perfect pale peachy nude. It's frosted, so if that's a problem for you, just pair it with another l/g or l/s. We all have drawerfuls of products. It will be easy to find something to use with Candlelight. This gloss becomes even more beautiful when mixed. Tube is flimsy and splits where it meets the cap. To avoid this problem, don't twist it tightly to close.

I was so surprised to see the opaque, nude and nice formula squeezed out from this tube. It's a TINY bit sticky but I don't mind that, it just makes it last longer.
This nude shade looks perfect to a nice smokey or for a more neutral look. It's a everyday kind of shade perfect for work or even on a night out! Candlelight looks beautiful on top of other lipsticks and on its own. It is a bit on the frosty side, I'm not particularly keen of frosts, but this one is actually very subtle. I really do love having this in my collection. You get a lot of product and just for the price of 1 dollar!!
This particular tube had a little plastic bump sticking out right at the hole that scratched my lip. I just took a sharp cutter and took it away and now it's smooth like a dream.
I find that with ELF you always gamble when you buy something, but this one is definitely a hit. I will definitely buy more shades, do doubt!

I hated this lipgloss for two reasons: Unflattering colour and bad packaging. I'm around a NW25, and this nude shimmery colour just washes me out when worn on its own. Certainly not what I hope to look like in (literal) candlelight! Also, I found it painful to use straight from the tube, as the hole through which the gloss is dispensed is not flushed with the rest of the packaging - meaning to say that the edges are raised and sharp - and the first time I tried applying it, I nearly cut my lips right off! Maybe it's just a bad tube, and for such a low price I probably could make do with other application options (using my fingers/a brush), but the colour simply wasn't flattering and these two factors really did put me off using it.
One good point, however, was definitely the SPF 15. But since I already use a high SPF lipbalm (Jackblack/Mac's suntints), this isn't quite necessary...
In all, I probably wouldn't purchase it again, at least not in this colour!

Yummy scent. Works well and lasts a while. I think the color will flatter most skin tones. Will buy again.

Update: So I'm trying it again and again and it still comes up a grapey, goopy, frosty mess on my lips. I don't know if it's because of my pigmented lips or if I got a dud. I just can't stand this gloss. It's going into the trash today.
This smells like grape medicine/candy. Its texture is thick and strange, like no matter how many times I rub my lips together, the gloss feels like it won't move. I personally like a little slide to my glosses. This is excessively sticky and hard to spread. The color of this is opaque. What you see in the tube is what you're going to have all over your lips. I was hoping for something a little more sheer and nudish, but this turned into a frosty mess on my lips. It looked extremely unnatural. I would not repurchase.

Well, I liked this product until the top broke off and exploded all over my makeup bag! I loved the way it felt..almost like a lipbalm and the color and the taste were pleasant...but I just can't get past the flimsy packaging!

Amazing lipgloss! You cant beat the 1$ price for the quality of this gloss. It has a nice peachy nude hue and has a subtle shimmer too it that makes it very wearable. It has a grape-candy scent to it. The gloss is kind of thick and its easy to squeeze too much out and end up with sticky lips. Its also very moisturizing. I will definitely be buying this over some higher end brands from now on

This shade is peachy nude, shimmery, lovely. I love these tube lip glosses because they give you so much control when applying. The shimmer is not so intense that it's inappropriate for day, it just gives a very glowy, pearlescent effect to the lips. Tastes delicious and smells delicious.

I really wanted to like this and just bought it from all the raving because I wanted a pigmented lip gloss. But, sadly on my fair-medium skin this barely puts any color on, and I have to say that I am pretty disappointed in terms of color payoff. Also, this stuff is thick and goopy, sticky, is kind of hard to rub in. Also smells like grape- but that is neither here nor there. I have to say that the brand TEN at the 99 cents store lip gloss in the color 'canyon' is hella better than this. For the same price you get actual color, and it smells like yummy cotton candy.
However, for all the negative comments I made on this product I am a little happier with the elf gloss in Watermelon. Definitely some pigmentation in that one. Overall, I think I'll stay away form these lip glosses- like glue on my lips- never had such a problem before.

How could you beat a $1 glossy that is even half way decent?? I have this in a few shades but my fav is watermelon. Its fairly pigmented, has a nice shine, not too sticky or slimy AND has SPF. WINNING!

Beautiful peachy nude that doesn't wash me out. Its slightly lighter in tone than Pink Kiss. I use this often with a bronze smokey eye, but its not so light that I can't wear it with just eyeliner and mascara. Love! Definitely would repurchase. I think this lipgloss is the best of the $1 elf items.
