I had the WORST allergic reaction to this product. It made my lips super dry and break out in bumps. It took a painful week and a half to recover. I think it may have been due to the glitter in it but I am not sure. It tastes amazing and I wish I could use it because it is the best tasting lipgloss I have ever tried. So if you have sensitive lips I would not recommend this product. If not, this is a great product, not sticky at all.

This is a lovely product! It lasts, smells and tastes great, and imparts the lips with subtle, glossy color. The tube is also huge- I've been using it several times per week for 1 yr and it's still over half full.

I really like this lip gloss - it smells and tastes like raspberry candy, gives a light pink (shimmery) tint to lips and is really moisturising. Plus I find to be less sticky than other Philosophy glosses! Would repurchase.

I received a smaller version of this in a gift set along with three other Philosophy lip glosses. This one is, by far, my favorite.

I love the versatile sheer pink/coral color that can adapt to enhance anyone's lip color. The scent is sweet but not overpowering and the glitter shine is fun and flirty. It's also surprisingly long lasting on my lips! I think the glitter has to do with that...even though the shine may dull, my lips will still look nice since the shine from glitter is making up for it haha.

My only major gripe is about the taste. I'm guessing it was purposefully made sweet to match the whole "raspberry sorbet" theme going on, but I don't like it...very unnatural tasting. The gloss is also a bit sticky for my taste (hahaha) , but that's lip gloss for you.

- Skip down to 'Final Consensus' for short summary of overall thoughts on product -

What it Claims:
"This lip-loving essential imparts a beautiful shine and a hint of color. Sunflower seed oil and vitamin E nourish and hydrate dry lips for smooth, soft results. The delectable flavor is perfect for calorie-free indulgence."

Claims - True or False?
1) Beautiful shine: True.
2) Nourishes and hydrates lips: False.

Packaging:
I actually have two of these glosses. The first is an older and full-sized tube, which I will call Tube A. The second is a newer and half-sized tube that I got in a small Christmas set this past Christmas, and will call this Tube B. Both are identical in terms of aesthetics; soft and clear plastic squishy tube, slanted plastic tip with rounded edges, and a black twist-cap. Tube B has a slight difference with the cap, as it is more rounded off. It never feels uncomfortable to apply, and does fit my lips well. The tubes feel sturdy, and I've owned some of these glosses for over a year without any breakage and frequent purse-tossing.

Smell:
I LOVE the scent of this gloss. I can't say that it really smells like raspberry or sorbet, but it does have a nice sweet and light scent to it. However, Tube A's scent is definitely stronger and more noticeable than Tube B's, and Tube B smells more artificial. I can somewhat smell it while I'm wearing it, but it doesn't pose an issue and doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Consistency:
Both tubes seem to share the same, or almost the same, consistencies. The colour payoff is sheer to light, which I do like. It it noticeable in terms of colour on the lips, but isn't overly obvious. The colouring for both tubes is different. Tube A seems to have more warmth to it, as well as looks a bit lighter. It also seems to look almost peachy. Tube B is a tad darker, cooler, and almost seems to have some purple undertones to it. Tube A looks best against my warm skin, but both look nice. Both have noticeable but not over-the-top shimmer/glitter, and both are moderately sticky. Tube B seems to be a little less sticky. Thickness is moderate, and it definitely has good wear-time.

Ease of Use:
I have no difficulties with this gloss in terms of application. The formula is thick enough that it can be well controlled while applying, and does not easily escape the lip lines. It blends into the lips nicely, doesn't require a lot of manipulation or tugging, and applies evenly and easily. Removal can be a bit tricky due to the stickiness, as it does dry down to a sticky residue after a few hours of wear. As long as tissues are not used though, it's no big deal.

Bang for your Buck:
I'd say that this gloss, and Philosophy glosses in general, is a mid-range product. My original tube cost me about $16.00CAD, or about $12.00USD. The Sephora website is listing these glosses at $10.00USD, so it could be that the prices have permanently dropped somewhat. While this may seem a bit pricey for some, I do not think that this is really all that pricey. Even if I were to have worn this gloss almost daily, it easily would have lasted me throughout an entire year before I had to repurchase.

Final Consensus:
I'll admit it, I'm a little bit of a Philosophy gloss junkie. If you are looking for a gloss with light coverage, a nice amount of glitter, and a sweet scent, check this one out. If you are turned off by sticky glosses, you may want to steer clear. I do have to say, I'm a bit surprised by the lowish rating!
- Pros: Pretty shade, nicely sized glitter, does not dry out the lips and keeps the lips feeling soft after removal, does not cling to dry peeling skin, light colour coverage allows the gloss to be a little more accessible to many skin tones, smells (and tastes) good, has good staying power for a gloss, well priced.
- Cons: A little bit too sticky, must be purchased from Sephora stores or their website where I live (the closest Sephora location doesn't tend to carry a lot of Philosophy glosses, and the other location here is a little far).

Not a huge fan of this product - it's quite goopy and a little sticky, hard to evenly apply because the whole at the top of the tube is so huge, it lets out way too much product. the taste isn't that great either. Not the worst product out there, but there's definitely better.

This gloss is very thick and very shiny. I love Philosophy lip shine because it makes your lips so glossy and lasts all day. This one is a sheer berry pink color with the perfect amount of sparkle, and I like it a lot. It also smells lovely, but more like raspberry candy than sorbet.

I have been wanting to try this for a long time & was recently able to swap for it. This person claimed the item was brand new, and I am hoping that was a false statement. I am not overly impressed. I thought it would have more color first of all, and I have no color in my lips so I thought it would give me SOMETHING. I can get over that, because it does leave a nice shine. The texture doesnt bother me much, I dont mind stickiness really. My second upset was the smell. I was expecting more - like a really nice fruity smell. This was lacking. Like I said, it almost made me think it was older tube and had faded, but she swears it was new & I have to say I believe her.

I love this product. The way I describe it is it looks like my lips, only better. It adds a slight touch of pink color and glitter, and a ton of shine. It's so perfect for every day use. My only concern is that the lid doesn't seem to screw on tight enough, and I worry about it leaking. But I love it too much to not carry it with me.

This is a lovely product overall! The colour in the package looks quite red, but once applied, you can hardly tell there is any colour at all. It comes on ultra shiny, and with a bit of glittery sparkle, and best of all, it tastes and smells fantastic.

I'm also amazed that you can get it for $10 in US!! Being in Australia, Philosophy comes to us with a more expensive pricetag, but nonetheless, I continue to adore the Philosophy range for their lovely smells and flavours.

I have the Cinnamon Buns lip shine (ahhh!) and liked it so I bought this from Sephora too. After a couple of uses though I'm not a fan of raspberry sorbet gloss at all. The scent is overpoweringly sweet and medicinal-smelling, almost like a cough syrup. Philosophy can and has done much better than this. YUCK!

UGH! horrible product! On my lips this showed EVERY crack and line. And I had none!! After looking in the mirror after glossing I wanted to wipe it off. ASAP. For those with better luck with lip cracks, dont bother with it, anyways. The color is nothing special, just a clear gloss filled glitter.

When Philosophy call this lip shine they certainly aren't exaggerating. I was expecting this to be more like a lip balm, but it's really like the ultimate shiny lip gloss. I put a dab of this over any lipstick or nude lips and my lips look shiny and pouty. The taste reminds me of kiddie flavoured cough medicine (in a good way). It's easy to apply straight from the tube, but I often use it with a brush when I want more control over how much goes on. Also, at $10 it's well-priced for Philosophy. Yummy! Leaves me wanting to try more in Philosophy's Lip Shine range.

This stuff is pretty and it smells nice but jesus is it sticky! I love the color and the shine and the flavor but I won't buy it again because the stickiness is just really uncomfortable.

i have quite a few of these and this flavor is one of my faves. i like the raspberry flavor and the zillion pieces of tiny shimmer in it too...and the color is very lovely to look at. leaves my lips feeling comfortable. but i think now my lips are dependant on it and feel dry w/o it. don't use too much though, it can be overpowering and kinda sticky. only a little bit is necessary, so it will last a long while. about $10 at sephora.

I LOVE this lipshine. It goes on beautifully, gives great shine with a small amount and it tastes and smells delicious! It's a great everyday lip gloss. My lips are pigmented and it gives off a faint pink/rosy color. Sheer coverage, great product.

I originally went in for the Melon Dauquiri but decided that it was too pale to show up on my lips, as mine are fairly pigmented. I choose the Raspberry because it is a rich and girlie pink. I think mine is a stale, it is not as 'berryish' as I thought it would be. However those lights at sephora and heat could ruin anything in a week. All the tubes were sticky. I wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a seal on any of them so I grabbed the cleanest. I will rebuy if I run out. I like the way it makes my lips look. Just evens the color and shines. Prettier in the tube than on.
