such an incredible little product for such a good price too! this lasts forever as you only need to smear a tiny bit on each underarm to keep nasty pongs out all day! and indeed if i forget to use this one day, i definitely notice the difference!
it doesn't stop sweating, bearing in mind not sweating is seriously disruptive to the bodies detox system anyways, it biffs bad odors perfectly!
this is a must have for me.

I've only had this a short while but so far so good. In recent years I have noticed that every deoderant (natural or otherwise) I have tried has failed me. When I saw this on the Lush website it had good reviews so decided to give it a whirl. The days when I have worn this I have not had a problem with feeling and smelling less than sweet. Highly recommended.
EDIT: I had to downrate this as only a few days after purchasing, this dried out. Maybe it was a bad batch or the way that I stored it (kept it wrapped up in the paper) but I was very disappointed as this is so effective.

I never thought I would be reviewing deodorant....but this stuff is amazing. I have always been a degree girl myself and if it wasn't for my big sis I still would be. She is huge into natural remedies and skincare. She scared me right off of degree and recommended this stuff instead. it works amazing AND it doesn't contain the dangerous breast cancer causing stuff. i LOVE it. a little does go a very long way. but seriously...it's a heat wave here and we have no central air in our new place and i feel gross and sweaty but I DON"T STINK! How??? I am an aromacreme convert!

I got a sample of this from the store as I sweat ALOT and was tired of using stuff that did not keep the odor away. I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I am AMAZED!!! This stuff keeps me from being musty!!! A little goes a LONG way! DO NOT make the mistake of putting it on after you shave though...believe me, you will regret it. It has a light, fresh, smell and although it will not prevent you from sweating, it will keep you from smelling. I have found my HG!!!!
UPDATE: Ok...after using this for ONLY a week I too have the fire pits that so many people talk about. Yes, it keeps the stink away but my arm pits are red, swollen, itchy and sore. WTH? I'm glad I got a sample and CANNOT believe that LUSH is selling this with so many consumer complaints. I went to their website to see if I could find some bad reviews and guess what...Aromacreme is no longer there! Maybe they finally got the clue. So...I'm back to square one with not only stinky pits but fire pits!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT unless of course you like armpits that feel like they are on fire...if so...carry on.

I always feel guilty when I use antiperspirant, so I was looking for a regular deodorant that actually worked. Tom's and Arm & Hammer never cut it. I bought this on a whim and didn't really think it would work. I wore it the next day and was surprised. You still sweat of course, but I haven't smelled anything unpleasant since I bought this. I wear it to the gym and in the heat, and it provides better protection than the antiperspirants I've used. My mother used it and had a small reaction. She was using too much. You have to use a very small amount (about the size of your pinky nail) and rub it between your fingers until it's creamy. Then put it on like a lotion, the way some of the other reviewers have mentioned. Will definitely repurchase, although that won't be for awhile since you don't have to use very much. My favorite thing I've bought from LUSH so far.

I was skeptical. I really was. i thought even if it worked as a deodorant, I really can't stand underarm wetness. Well colour me shocked. On a really hot day, under tremendous pressure at work, a tiny barely-pea-sized smidge of Aromacreme rubbed into each underarm kept me DRY and nice smelling for sixteen hours! Not only that, the skin under my arms felt soothed. I don't find the fragrance of Aromacreme strong at all, and I have an acute sense of smell. The only thing, and it's minor so I don't feel it merits deducting a lippie is: I have chronic dyshydrotic (sp?) eczema on my hands and the sodium bicarbonate in Aromacreme feels hot on my fingers. I wash my hands right after application and the sensation instantly goes away. After trying all kinds of natural deodorants, from crystals to liquids, Aromacreme has won me over. Buh-bye Lady's Speed Stick!

I just recently got into this whole natural deodorant thing. I do agree with the other people who said that this is really strong smelling. I don’t use it all the time though, just every once in a while for a special occasion. I don’t know if I’d repurchase it again. I don’t use it that much. Overall I think that for a deodorant it does its job. It keeps me feeling fresh and smelling good. Would I recommend it? Not really. It’s just like any other deodorant.

I got this as a sample from a Lush store. If I hadn't sampled it I definitely would never have bought it because the smell is REALLY strong. However, after trying it I really like it. It definitely controls odor and I can still smell the deodorant at the end of the day. It has a creamy but powdery texture and applies easily enough. I just pinch off a bit and rub it in. Because it's got the powdery texture, it helps absorb moisture too.
UPDATE: I cannot use this one-two days after I shave my underarms. It stings like crazy and causes them to get a rash. As long as I wait about a day after I shave I can go back to using this. Because of this reason, after I finish my stock I will not buy again, which is sad because I really like the smell of this and how it works. If it didn't sting so bad it would be my perfect deodorant.

This stuff is awful! The perfume in this is so strong, and it's not a good smell, either- it smells like baby powder/dirt/incense. After bringing it home last night, I put on a tiny bit, half a pea size for each arm just to try it out and two minutes later, my husband in the other room yelled to me asking what that awful smell was. Foolishly, after spending $17 on this stuff, I thought I'd give it a try and I wore it in to work today, applying just a tiny amount under each arm. BIG MISTAKE. Everywhere I go I leave a cloud of perfume behind me. And as the day goes on, it gets worse because guess what? This product does nothing to stop BO. I can't believe I fell for the hype of this brand- my first and last Lush purchase.

I love this :) While I love my scented products to be strong, I don't want heavily scented deodorants. This product is just slightly too scented. It works for me, use it when I exercise.

I waited 3 weeks to review this. So far so good. I've applied everyday using just a small pinch and lightly rub into freshly washed and thoroughly dried armpits. I think the trick is to use a very small amount and make sure its rubbed in good, it shouldn't feel moist, it should feel powdery dry. This has kept me completely dry and though the scent can be a bit over powering, it still smells pretty and fresh. No staining of my clothes yet either. Its a little expensive, maybe double what you'd pay for a drugstore antiperspirant. As long as I do not experience any adverse affects to this product, I will continue to purchase.
Edit: I've been reading that this is not an antiperspirant. While technically, it does not have any antiperspirant chemicals, this has kept me drier than standard antiperspirants! I don't know why, but since I've started using, I haven't had any underarm sweating at all. So I guess I would call it an antiperspirant as well.

I tried this with some trepidation because of the reviews here. I bought a tiny amount- about what would come in a traditional deo container- and expressed my concerns to the SA. She told me to use *less* than a pea-sized amount per side. It's been great so far. Smells good, not overpowering, no stink at all. Strangely, I seem to be perspiring less, too, which is odd because I sweat a LOT. Will update if this takes a turn for the worse, but as it is, I doubt I'll ever use anything else.
Oh, packaging- the SA put it in a little plastic lidded container for me. It's largeish for traveling, but I'll put a dab into an old everyday minerals sample jar and it will be just fine.
EDIT- Now, after I've had it for 4 months, still using the same sample I bought Jan 1, it smells like BOURBON. No thanks. Works great, keeps the stink away, but bourbon pits? Um, no. I'm trying florere now. doesn't smell like bourbon.

Awful stuff. I tried usuing it on two separate oocasions and both times is caused a burning rash on my underarms. I followed all the advice to the letter about making sure my underarms are dry and tried using it with the coconut powder but to no avail-I still have the scars. To be fair Lush did give me a refund and a sample of Dream Cream to help but I did get all the spiel about how I couldn't have applied it properly. Considering the number of other people experiencing this Lush must accept that there's a problem with this product!

I am total Lush freak..i absolutely love the way the products are marketed with a genuineness that comes from a passion to make great stuff! i love the packaging too coz it is minimal and i dont end up using too much plastic. the cost the product is for the product alone and so i dont spend unnecessary money on any fancy packaging.
the creme keeps me smelling fresh, sort of like johnson's baby smell which i loooooooooooove....and i hate using too much chemical deos since they leave a kind of stink at the end of the day, but this wonder creme doesnt...everyone should buy it..muah for lush..

To me, this product is dirt cheap, because even just a sample size lasted me over a month. You only need half a pea size of this. I love this stuff, it smells great.

to reiterate- this is a deoderant, and this won't keep you dry. it smells good and even in Vegas after a day of 110+ degree heat, i still smell good. my only issue with this is that the smell is TOO strong. it overpowers anything else on me, even my perfume. i also didn't get "fire pits", but everyone is different.

I will give AromaCreme a 5 b/c it does what it seeks out to do...banish odor. This is *not* an antiperspirant, and it not advertised as one. However I feel like it does a fair job of minimizing dampness as well as neutralizing odors. I have used it during summer and now going into winter it is protecting the heavier knits I am wearing. One thing that I believe is essential to its optimal performance is that your pits are absolutely dry when you apply it. If you are straight out of the shower you have to wait a bit b/c it might morph into a Aromaliquid.
Today I also test drove it and used it on my feet. I rubbed a pea size amt between the toes and gave it a whirl with my sneakers, and yes I wore em without socks. I walked around SF and shopped and arrived at home 4.5 hours later and unveiled the results of my experiment. To my delight not only did my feet not smell but neither the shoes. I like to wear socks with shoes but these are snug and the socks peep out! I just was happy that I could use it there on occasions where the nylon socks or hose are bound to bring trouble. Very good product and I ask them to make me a small container from bulk so I only pay for what I need. Also since this may have a tendency to dry out , as others members mentioned, you don't have to worry about throwing it out or dealing with dry old Aromacreme. Cost me about $3.10 and i have had it for armpits and feet for over 4 months.

Disclaimer: I am not that into the "natural" part, and I don't have issues with chemicals, interfering with the natural process, or aluminum. I love chemicals, as long as they're doing what they're supposed to do. But regular products have been letting me down...
Also, I was in brand new LUSH store, and had to buy something, right??
I liked the scent (no patchouli!) and I knew the baking soda would be fairly effective. It did seem pricy, and I don't love the packaging, but I can handle it okay, just picking up the mass and rubbing. I may switch to the pea-sized application if it starts breaking off.
Yesterday, I was test-driving the Aromacreme (so far, so good) when I realized that the synthetic fabric I was wearing, plus the heat, plus anxiety over giving a presentation after work, was making me feel like I might have been overpowering the LUSH. I stopped at a CVS, bought a Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal Stick and discreetly applied as per directions. It totally took care of BO, although I was a bit damp.
There was a slight wiff of the main fragrance of Aromacreme, a little "clean sweat" smell, but not the rank BO funk I can get if an antiperspirant/deodorant decides to let me down.
Today, I applied, the crystal, let dry, then applied the Aromacreme. After 12 hours, again, some dampness, no BO .
Routine: After showering, I splash on a bit of generic Tendskin, let dry, do the crystal, let dry, then the Aromacreme. So far, no irritation and it all works. I do use an Emjoi instead of shaving, so maybe that's why there's no irritation (or maybe that's ahead, and I'll update if that's the case).
I think this is high-priced for what it is (ingredients), but I'm not looking to cook up my own product right now, so I can live with it. As long as I can get to a shop and not pay shipping, and as long as it doesn't start any irritation, I can justify the cost.
Update: this eventually started irritating, so it's back on the shelf.

I *think* I'd buy this again. I don't know. I had very good and very bad experiences with this deodorant.
YES it stops sweating, just as good as a product such as Certain Dri. Odour? NONE. That's a first for me. All I smell is the fresh aroma of Aromacreme, all day (and into the next). Miracle product! It kept me dry in fresh during a trip to Memphis, where I was outside literally all day, in 108 degree weather (in 90% humidity).
But, this stuff burns like the flames of Hades. I usually brag about how un-sensitive my skin is. I'm nearly capable of bathing in battery acid without a problem. Aromacreme makes batter acid look like kid's stuff.
The residual redness was one thing. I can't begin to describe the dryness and peeling that followed after a couple of days' use. Ever see a skin shed it's skin? Yeah, that's what it resembled.
The red areas slowly turned brown... a nice, brown stain. So lovely! Didn't you know? Looking like I haven't washed my pits in over a year is the look I've been longing for... isn't that every girl's dream?
I figured out that if I applied a generous helping of Dream Cream under each pit prior to application, that would help alleviate some of the ill-effects I was experiencing.
Still, one shouldn't HAVE to apply lotion prior to applying their deodorant.
After about a month of using this stuff, my hair follicles looked a bit odd. Not red or inflamed, but almost blistery and inflamed. The skin also felt like a tough piece of cow hide.
Am I nuts for wanting to try it again? I really do love that it worked as I feel a deodorant should. I've never tried a product that performed so well... but are the side-effects worth it?
Perhaps not. I'm no masochist!
Last complaint: that cheap plastic tub they put it in. Yeah, it's supposed to be minimal/easy to recycle... but I think this stuff woudl be better off in one of the black pots. Something that is a bit more air tight. This stuff has a tendency to dry out and get crumbly (oh, you apply this with your fingers, by the way).
