Initially, I wasn't that impressed with the product, because it goes on a little thick and sticky. However, I decided to retry it recently because I was at a complete loss for what else to do (my lips have been INCREDIBLY dry and cracking and peeling despite finally breaking my habit of biting/licking my lips, trying burts bees, soft lips, carmex, coconut oil, aloe, hand cremes, vitamin B, and constant hydration). I've been using this lip balm for just a few days, and I can already see an incredible improvement in the moisture, softness, and overall quality of my lips. If you don't suffer from really chapped lips, you may not be able to get over the definite odd texture and stronger than most scent, but if you do, give this a try for a few days, and you will easily be able to get over the slight annoyances for how effective it is! It's also great as an overnight balm because the thicker texture allows it to stay on your lips and keep working much longer than most balms. Since it lasts longer, I feel like I need to reapply less, so I'm hoping that means the balm will last longer than most balms.

I rarely find lip balm that actually improves the texture and moisture of my lips. The only one I have found is jack black and its a bit expensive. I am thrilled to say that this lip balm is amazing. It smells nice, is very creamy and goes on smoothly. It has quickly improved the dryness of my lips and is a great base for lipstick. I found these for 1-2 dollars online which is a steal. All the flavors are yummy. They are cruelty free, vegan and organic and I highly recommend this lip balm.

maybe i got a bad batch, but this stuff was just horrible. Turned gritty after about 3 uses, uber waxy and sticky on my lips. I normally try to use up lip balms even if I don't care for them, but this stuff is going in the trash bin NAO.

Not a favorite lip balm, at all. But, hey, it does work when desperate. You know what really got to me though? It smells and feels like a cheap Hawaiian fruit punch lip balm that was made with too much burnt plastic and who's maker decided to make the scent ten times stronger than the smell of any normal lip balm. Maybe the burnt plastic part was a stretch, and to be frank, it does smell exactly like Hawaiian fruit punch that soccer moms buy in bulk to get their kids to stop whining. This is the exact drink smell that highlighted my (and almost every child in America's...) childhood. Too overly flavored, sugared up, over the top. Don't get me wrong, I do like fruit punch, but this specific kind? Let's face it, CHEAP. It's practically known for embarassing kids by giving them fruit punch mustaches. And when the smell is this strong, yuck. Plus, I feel like it's covering up a plastic smell. Can you say fishy? I can still smell it on my lips, and I put it on over 5 minutes ago. I stopped using Lip Smackers glosses and balms in early Middle School, and the last of a balm even smelling like Lip Smackers was Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast, which started it's own cult with me as it's leader for my last year of Middle School. Anyways, a little off topic. The cap is also really hard to get off. And when you try to pull the cap off, you start twisting the lip balm up or down because when you grab the cap, you also grab the part that twists it, and you end up getting no where at all. It's not a good surprise to find it smashed into the cap when you finally get the lid off. Otherwise, great idea. The feel isn't very nice. It is a very chunky balm, not grainy like with sand in it, but in chunky bits of balm. It's not that big of a deal, but even if you don't have a chunk on your lips, it feels chunky somehow. Blame that on how waxy it is. I like Burt's Bees Beeswax, a lot, but this is ridiculous. And when you rub your lips together, it's thick and greasy. It feels like Chapstick (the brand) on. I hate the feel of Chapstick, even though I practically had a summer affair with the Moisturizer kind. But after no use, then use again, it feels like greasy car wax on my lips and almost feels like it weighs them down. And a lot comes off, which is probably why it feels so heavy. I really enjoy using natural and organic lip balms now, and have tried a lot, but this is one I mention to people when they are looking for a natural lip balm, but I never recommend it. I recommend Burt's Bees, EOS, and Yes to Carrots. The reason this lip balm is a three on the lipstick scale is because it works. My lips are visibly smoother and feel more moisturized for longer. Is going through all my personal negatives worth it though? For me, no, there are so many other lip balm that have the exact same concept and work just as good if not better. I was in no need of more lip balms when I bought this, and now I don't know what to do with the two lip balms I have a love/hate relationship with, Burt's Bees Acai Berry and this one. They kind of just sit on my night stand untouched or lay in the bottom of my purse. Both are too sweet and sugary. This expirience also made me not want to try out the Coconut Cream version of this one, and also not buy the gloss. Speaking of gloss, I tolerate this nowadays by putting this on, and putting on my current favorite gloss- Victoria's Secret Lip Gloss in I Want Candy. Not the best color payoff (although pretty) but smells addicting and covers this lip balm's scent. As a matter of fact, my New Year's resolution is to wear more colored lip balms, lip glosses, and lip color in general. Well, you have read my 100% honest opinion and listened to my rant and get sidetracked too. Not sure if that last part was helpful, but it might have been interesting for some (or not). It's a close call, but I woln't repurchase again, not even if it's as cheap as $3.

A hard lip balm to find, but well worth the effort to track it down. It's a bit tacky in texture on your lips. Not something that would make you want to rub your lips together, but I suppose that's a good thing. It has long lasting staying power, which surprised me. It's extremely moisturizing, stays on even through hours of talking and outdoorsy activities. The smell is fairly nice as well. It's not overpowering and it doesn't smell cheap and annoying either. Definitely a great purchase that I'll be making again.

After trying Desert Essences Lip Rescue with Shea Butter, I decided to find something more emollient and hydrating. This stuff really does it. It lasts really long and it tastes and smells yummy and really moisturizes. It really might be HG for me.

Wow I really liked this lip balm. It is one of my favorites. It smells and tastes good. The only problem I have with it is that I reapply it a lot. This is pretty good for an organic product. I usually don't like them as much.

I love this chapstick, I've been trying to find a natural moisturizing lip treatment that I could use under my red lipsticks so as not too look too chapped, its great for the cold and heat here in San Antonio. I also love the flavor.

Of all the scents this Passionfruit is my favorite (smells so dam good!!) and this chapstick in a week ahs become Holy Grailf for me. Along with the million otehr products I am addicted to I am a lip balm addict harcore. I jsut really like having a good balm in chapstick form in my purse during the day to wear alone or layer under gloss/lipstick and ofcourse a extra rich creamy balm in pot usually to wear at night to bed. Usually I have always had to use 2 seperate products and have tried everything from drugstore to rediculously expensive HE balms. My current HG's have been Dior Lip Glow for day and Ole Henriksen Lip Salvation at night. I love the lip glow like nothing else as it feels like pure silk on your lips and lasts plus gives a gorgeous pink tint. What I don't like is the insane price for it and the fact I go through it kind of fast lol. Anyhow was at Target the other day and randomly remembered hearing good reviews for the Alba Chapstick so decided to get one in this fruity scent (not a fan of the coconut or vanilla). Well smell alone I was ready to eat it/craving a tropical smoothie and then it worked even better than I thought. It doesn't apply super super creamy which at first makes you think it's crap but that is why it works so well (comparable to my lip glow actually). It isn't waxy in any sense but not creammy enough to rub your lips together alot like we are tempted with most balms. However unlike creamy balms that evaporate within an hour and leave your lips feeling a little dry, this forms a silky barrier on your lips that lasts forever no joke. I couldn't believe how to die for smooth my lips were all day whether I wore this alone or under other lip products. It really is one of a kind and the hands down best drugstore lip product I have ever found (that finally compares to Dior Lip Glow and will save me money, as unlike all the rest it doesn't feel like wax and make your lips workse from layering or not do anything at all. I am going to pick up a few more tubes jsut to have. I also now use this as my night balm as shockingly it works better than the creamist and richest actualy balms I have used. Just one swipe of this and it lasts like nothing I have ever seen and I wake up feeling like I just applied it. Plus love the adorable packaging and that it twists up from under the cap, great idea. Try it! :)

This lip balm is one of the best available. It's petroleum free, with a smooth, slightly oily texture (not waxy like other balms). After using it 2-3 times a day for about a month, I noticed a huge difference in my lips. They became much softer, and I didn't get addicted to it the way that I would have with a more drying lipstick, like chapstick.

If this is such a great product, why am I not going to buy it again? In a word, packaging. When I first opened the lip balm and found that the twist up dial wasn't at the bottom of the tube, I thought, "That's weird, but I can get used to it." As it turns out, the dial on my Alba lip balm broke within a few days of use (which never happened when I used Burt's Bees with the regular dial). In order to get the product back into the tube, I had to literally push on it with my fingertips. Yuck! Maybe if the manufacturers adopt better packaging, I will consider purchasing it again.

If you do decide to buy this lip balm anyway, I have one caveat. Because it's an oily product, it melts very easily in the heat. I kept it in my purse on a hot spring day (mid-80's) and when I tried to use it, the tip slid right off because it had melted. I had to put the chapstick in the fridge to salvage the rest of the product. Buyer beware.

Awful! I wanted to like this for all the right reasons, but I didn't like the dull texture or the scent. Passion fruit is great to me in a sorbet but apparently not as a lip product fragrance. I LOVE the packaging - top-twist & the cute red cap. I like that it's organic & good for you. I just didn't like the product & found it rather drying to my lips. It was several years ago that I bought this & I never finished the tube, I think I threw it out when the scent turned rancid, clearly having spoiled. I try a lot of lip balms & some I like, most I don't, & this is one that I wouldn't buy again.

I decide to try this since it is Organic. I really like the scent it doesnt have a taste to it. I like the way it feels on my lips. it leaves them soft and smooth. The only thing i dont like is that once you raise the lip blam there is chunks of the product that fall part. It is nothing major but that is something i dont like. Yes i would buy this item again i plan to try the pinapple when i am done iwth this one.

I'm going to address some of the concerns in the less than stellar reviews first: Yes, the product is a bit waxy feeling. Perhaps this comes from it being an organic product, but it also could be protection from the elements. The product is extremely moisturizing. I can feel my lips chapping and becoming dry and disgusting and within an hour of applying this product that feeling is gone. It makes my lips so soft! The smell is nice, though it does wear on you a bit.

I would definitely recommend this product. It works, and when buying it keep in mind that is it ORGANIC so it may not feel like your regular Chapstick.

I like this balm, its very smooth and moisturizing and I love the scent of it, it doesn't taste like anything, but its a lip balm, its not meant for eating it. I like that its a natural product and the twist at the top is neat.
