I bought a 2.5gr vial of pinked mauve some time ago, and am dying to find a full sized jar before I use it up! I used this a few days ago with a black eyeshadow on the lid and pinked mauve blended into the crease. It made for such a pretty "rock star" smokey eye.

Wow, this pigment really blew my socks off when I first applied it. I wasn't really thinking much, I just picked a purply colour from my samples selection, and I fell in love. It's a very unique pink-purple with gold shimmer. Of course, being a MAC pigment, it's not the easiest to work with, but I will try my hardest to use this more often because the colour is just amazing.

I actually have the charm size of this, and I adore this color. It is beautiful purpleish pink color. I don't use it on my lids though. I love to use it in the crease with Kitschmas on the lid. The combination is gorgeous. I'd definitely purchase again if the opportunity arises.

I really used this pigment once or twice, I dnt like pigments coz i find it easier 2 use an eyeshdaow.
still pinked mauve is kind of special, i cant find any shadow that looks like it.

I'm a pigment junkie, which is odd since I rarely ever reach for my pigments, but Pinked Mauve is the exception. When I first got this .. I couldn't find a good way to use it, since I rarely wear these kinds of colors on my eyes. Then one day on a whim, I decided to try this as a blush, and OMG .. it's *beautiful* on cheeks! This is probably the only pigment I'll actually be able to finish. Since discovering this as a blush, i've used it regularly! Definitely try this one on your cheeks!!

this did NOT work for me for the eyes, I looked like someone beat me.
however i use it as a blusher and for nail polish and it has lasted quite some time...i love the glitter chunks..

I adore the shade of this pigment. Unfortunately, I must say that the glitter particles are too large for my personal preference, and do tend to flake off throughout the day. If applied with a sticky base (NYX jumbo eyeshadow crayons), the fallout can be essentially controlled, but if not, the glitter will end up all over your face at the end of the day. Overall, not my favorite, but it could definitely be worse.

I find it to be a pinky-purple. Not the most flattering colour, but its okay. It works really well with violet pigment.
I find that the glitter particles in this pigment are pretty huge, huger than usual.
Having said that, it gets snaps for being versatile: it can be used on the face, eyes and lips.

This is a great versatile pigment. It works well as a blush, eyeshadow, and lipcolor. I like it best as a blush as it give a warm sparkly flush. Its a bit too frosty purple on the lips and a bit to pink for the eyes, but overall It's ok. As the previous reviewer said, its purply pink, but I see more of a silver than gold shimmer (maybe its just that its frosty). I will not repurchase because it will take me the rest of my life to use up the gigundo tub of pigment.

I am NW15 with green eyes. This pigment was LE with the April 2005 Sweetie Cake collection. The color description is a deep violet with gold pearl. The description is completely inaccurate - it is actually more of a slightly purple-based pink with gold shimmer. This is not my favorite pigment, but it's okay. It's nice paired with pinks or purples. It would probably make an interesting blush or lipgloss too. Pigments are $19.50 each. I would probably buy again.

I love this color on me! I like to use it with a wet brush though, as it does applicate smoothly. It's very very sparkly but it goes well against my skintone. I recieved this in a swap, and I wish I could get my hands on a bigger version!

this ones definately not majenta or bright pink on me! ok its not subtle and maybe a bit on the brighter side but its vere adoroable. lots of shimmer/glitter for sure! i am nc30/35 for reference. maybe i like this color as i loove pink on my green contacts lol. one flaw might be that is not so sheer and not very easy to apply like other pigments. so u have to build color gradually. not one of my hg's like tan but still like it.
overally pretty good :)
jus as expected from mac!

Not my favorite of the pigments, but still a good one. I like that the color is very intense, that being said, I can see how it is too much for some. This one specifically, I like to use with a wet brush, I find it easier to get the color even, a problem i don't have with the other pigments. Great bright pink shade.

ugh, this product is way too sparkly for me; i like matte shades on my face. the magenta color is also too dark for my skin (NC25).
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
I got this pigment as a present, and unfortunately it's one of my least favourite. The pink somehow makes me look as if I've been punched. I'm a NC 30, brown eyes, light brown hair for reference, so whilst it doesn't work on me, it might work on others.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Combination, Dark, Warm Hair: Black, Kinky, Coarse Eyes: Brown
I am NC50 with very yellow orange undertones, so pink usually doesn't work for me. But this pigment does, for some reason. It's a dark, plummy pink with faint shimmer; stays put on my oily lids all day if I use a base. The texture is excellent, compared to some other MAC pigments; I would definitely repurchase if it wasn't LE.
Age: 36-43 Skin: Oily, Olive, Warm Hair: Blond, Wavy, Fine Eyes: Hazel
I received this as a 1/4 tsp. sample and I am sad that I didn't get a large one. This is a very pretty and versatile color; it's not quite fuschia, it's a metallic medium pink with a lot of purple/blue to it, the texture is not gritty but smooth. This looks wonderful on me in the inner corner or in the crease. I would not recommend for an overall lid color, however. This also makes a beautiful blush, great on lips with gloss or balm over it as well. Extremely versatile. Not too cool for me, though, and I'm a MAC NC30 and someone who does not look good in Cornflower Blue.
I wish I could get a large pot of this one. Too bad it's a LE.

I have quite a few pigments - I'd make a guess of about 25, and Pinked Mauve is by far one of my favourites. I'm NW 20, dark brown hair and eyes. The texture is fabulous - very easy to work with. As always, I use pigments exclusively over top of my UDPP otherwise they just fall all over my face. Its a gorgeous pinky plum colour with a gold or cream shimmer - not quite sure but looks amazing! My fave combo with it is Pink Opal as a wash from tearduct to the middle of the lid, and then Pinked Mauve on the outer half of the lid. Today I used Lovely Lily with those two (as an under-eye wash) and it also looks great! Go get yourself this pigment!
