I agrees with some comment, there's no right tone for me as well, and the beautician told me to mix it so it has the perfect shade for me.
I was using it for 2 years till, I'm sick of mixing and spill it. It was thick, and if you don't apply right your loose powder, it will have this rough lines and dots of the foundationo your face.

As someone who has bought 3 bottles of Dior Extreme Fit Wear, I am surprised that this Chanel foundation actually comes very close to my favorite Dior. Undoubtedly it is not as sheer as Dior foundations and smells neutral rather than scenty, but to me, it does the job of covering the two sides of my nose so well! After buying Anna Sui liquid foundation (the one with the black top) and finding that it does not sit well with the sides of my nose, I was particularly keen that my next foundation (preferably Chanel) after all the reviews that I read, is well tested upon. I dabbed ProLumiere on one side of my nose and White Essentiel Liquid on the other side and amazed to find that the liquid foundation of White Essentiel passed the test of not caking, but Prolumier unforutnately did not. I love the packaging too: anything white looks lovely, but Chanel has always been black and sombre. To me, this foundation White Essentiel is comparable to Dior ExtremeFit1 Will buy it again as it is more suitable than the "Lumieres" It is day 3 and nothing caked, a dewy face semi matte, as meant, and pleased me enough to go back to get its powder foundation version.

I was searching for the perfect LF, and was trying across various ranges of Chanel LF, from vita to mat to teint innocence to this! Out of all, I found this suits me best, decent but not too thick coverage, i find it covers pores the best, BUT the catch is not to apply too thick! Otherwise in the hot and humid condition of Singapore, it turns really gunky and hard to touch up with PP!
A very thin layer, as the consistency is quite thick, blend it well with my fingers, and dust on light PP after - awesome!
EDITED: SORRY CHANEL! I discovered my love for Guerlain and natural make up! This foundation is relatively harder to apply due to its 'stickiness' and I find it to be more drying. It is an OK foundation, but behind Guerlain's parure extreme!

I am NC35 and the chanel whitening fluid foundation in 05 is way too light for me. It looks yellow in the container but when applied, turns out to be too white! Also, it doesnt spread easily and is too thick. Needs to be mixed with lotion to spread and create even consistency. Lastly, it gives me acne!

This foundation was a complete disappointment for me! I was so excited to try this as it is marketed especially for Asian skin. As someone with very pale skin with a strong yellow undertone, I have an extremely hard time finding colors that work for me. The lightest color, 10 beige clair, was a good enough match that I could just apply only where needed to even out my skintone. Covers up red patches well, fairly easy to blend, and didn´t break me out or irritate my skin. This does highlight flakes, but I can deal with that since most foundations do. So why one lippie? Because something (the perfume?) made my eyes really dry and itchy, to the point where I had to remove my contacts, and wash this off my face. So frustrating. The search for the perfect foundation continues...

This was, unusually for me, an impulse buy—and I've never regretted it. It has the same matte-yet-radiant finish as its powder foundation equivalent, but in a much more dry-skin-friendly liquid form. Although it's actually technically a full-coverage foundation and is also quite thick (almost creamy) in texture, its silicon content makes it very easy to blend out to suit my personal preferences. A finger-nail sized blob buffed in quickly with the marvellous MAC 187 brush is enough to even out my skintone while still giving the satiny texture of real skin. It's also pigmented enough to use for spot-concealing where and if necessary. As with its powder equivalent, I found the Chanel Blanc Essentiel Modelling Effect primer, the Modelco Face Base (my standard primer), the La Prairie Luminous Illusion Line Filler, and the Clarins LIsse Instant primer all work beautifully with this fluid foundation. It's never broken me out, but that said, I am not prone to breakouts anyway. This is packaged in a frosted, square glass bottle with a hygienic and very convenient pump. Warning: I find the Blanc Essentiel range almost too yellow-based; although it works for me because (a) the strong yellow tone helps balance the oddly pinkish undertone of my face with the warmer gold undertone of my neck and décolletage, and (b) I only use it sheerly anyway.

Was planning to buy Pro Lumiere but the SA suggested this instead since I was using the Blanc Essentiel moisturizers. While I do feel that the moisturizers have worked considerably well in terms of whitening, I'm not sure if it's the same for their foundations. This foundation gives medium to full coverage (I prefer sheer, like Teint Fluid Universel), and the consistency is not fluid enough for my liking, so I prefer using a foundation brush/sponge vs my fingertips as suggested. This gives a somewhat matte finish (I have combo-to-dry skin), suitable for Malaysia's humid weather. Comes with SPF 20 (great), perfect for daywear but somehow the end result looks flat and boring to me (not so great), compared with Teint Fluide Universel. So what I do instead is use this with Guerlain's Meteorites loose powder to add luminousity. Pump bottle(good) but also glass body(bad). I knocked it over by accident and the glass bottle smashed onto the floor. Sigh. And it was tough cleaning it up, considering how thick and goopy the foundation was!
By the way, a look at the ingredients shows there's licorice extract and ascorbyl palmitate (vitamin C) listed, common ingredients found in most whitening products, in addition to tocopherol (vit E). Only six shades in this collection, and since it's for the Asian market, has more yellow in it. Retails for RM148. On an end note, nothing really bad about the foundation, just not a big fan of the consistency and end result, so will not repurchase.
