Love the color! It is a purplish taupey color with gold flecks. It does have a lot of fall out though, so be sure to tap off your brush before applying. I use this for my lower lash line and it just makes my brown eyes POP!

In the pan I absolutely love this...on my eyes, I only kind of love it. It's weird because swatched it's lovely--kind of purpley/brown with faint gold glitters--but on my eye the glitters reflect almost a reddish hue that makes the shadow look more reddish purple (if that makes any sense?) It still looks good, but it's not what I was looking for when I bought this. But, in keeping with tradition, I've never had a bad experience with Nars shadows. Ondine has the same amazing color payoff, texture and lasting power as all of the others, which is why it still gets a 4/5, even if the color does show up weird on me.

Ondine is an amazing color. I love the way it shows up on my NW45 skin. It's hard to pinpoint what color it is.. purple, brown..

This looks awfully like Ashes to Ashes (which I've been lusting after for some time), also touted as a purplish brown. How do they differ? I would really appreciate your views, ladies.

I wish this would be a little more pigmented and a little less expensive, but overall I really like this eyeshadow. I have nothing like it on my collection: it's a taupy brown with fine microglitter that looks awesome over constructivist paint pot from mac, for a very subtle brown smoky eye.

I'm pretty fair, but even on me, this purple brown is kind of too muddy to make that much of a difference to contour eyeshadow when it's straight from the pan.
It's good if you wet a soft liner brush and use it along the lashline, but then you gotta be careful how you pick out the colours or else you look really tired for the rest of the day and have your co-workers ask you why didn't get enough sleep last night. :S

I thought this was going to be in heavy rotation - a basic but better. I had to leave it. The colour looks like mud on my fair/medium complexion and though it is plummy, it does nothing for my blue eyes.

IMHO, this shadow is the epitome of romantic femininity. It's so pretty and flattering on me, and it's easy to use with a variety of looks.

I love this color. I have light blue eyes and am pretty fair. It really accents the color of my eyes well, and is a nice change from a true brown all the time. I got this in a NARS set, but I intend to purchase it on its own just to make sure I have a spare since I wear it quite often.

This is my HG eyeshadow! The color is hard to describe. Its a taupey grey with slight shimmer. It looks lovely on its own with a bit of albatross highlighter on the browbone. Easy beauty!

Very universal eye shadow. Add it to the crease for a sultry natural look. Perfect for anyone with brown eyes on the lid. I like to put Ondine all over the lid and then Nepal in the inner part of the lid with Black Moon as a liner for a soft smokey eye. Easy to blend and easy to create multiple looks with :)

I bought this product today, the make up artist paired it with new york eyeshadow on me which ended up with a beautiful look.Though the nars products are expensive I ended up buying ondine and new york eyeshadows.

This color is BEAUTIFUL... but only in the package. When applied it is very washed out and took tons more product than expected just to show up. I've had this problem with all of the NARS eyeshadows I've tried. Not very pigmented... and for the price its ridiculous! Wish I could find a dupe for this color because it would be beautiful on!

I received this in a swap and I am so glad that I swapped for it. It is a wonderful color, smooth consistency, and the payoff is fair. the only reason I took a lippie off for it is because its so dupable. I will say that in my collection alone there are around 3-4 colors that I could interchange with this. None are as smooth as the nars shadow but the EXACT color.

I actually purchased this eyeshadow by mistake. I thought I had grabbed Strada, but came home Ondine. I was bummed, but thought I would give this color a chance because it was a pretty color and I'm a sucker for neutrals. After applying it, I wasn't too pleased. It's not that pigmented and just appears as a wash of color rather than a bold shadow. It can make your eye appear somewhat bruised. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. I think it works as a crease color. I love NARS, but not this shadow.

It's a super lovely color! It's like a plum/mauve/brownish gray color. It's tough to describe but it's GREAT to put on. It's great for either natural or dramatic looks. I highly recommend it (MAC NC42/43).

This is a nice neutral purple that when used lightly can be used for the day or apply more layers for night. The glitter in this one is'nt chunky so there is'nt any fallout (fallout ex. light shade in Bellissima). I probably will not have to repurchase this one, there is alot of color payoff so it could take years to go through it.

So, so nice. Perfect brownish plum colour for my crease which really makes my pale skin and green eyes look amazing. There's not much more I can say - everything about this product is gorgeous. I love NARS shadows. I would continue to buy this at 48 AUD over and over again from Mecca, even if I hadn't been able to get it for 25 AUD on Strawberrynet.

All of the Nars packaging are the best quality I love the way they feel in my hand. Has this non slip grip. I have hyperhidrosis so I love it. As for the color at first glance the color looks light brown. Good playful color to wear to work because it looks sophisticated. Not a trashy purple with glitter. the glitter is very micro. If you want the true color to come out I suggest base.

I bought this online and was not disappointed at all. the color is brown with a bit of a plum undertone. Even somewhat mauve like. I love the texture of nars eyeshadows. I use this color all over the lid most of the time without a crease color just cuz it's a fun color and easy. I would def buy this shadow again.
