I had been looking for a silvery/grey/taupe shadow after seeing a similar color on someone on TV. I found this whikle browsing the makeup aisle at my local drug store. The color on is much different than in the container. In my opinion much better. I took off one lippie because it did not go on smoothly, kinda patchy and I had to blend it in. Great color though! I've been wearing it with Everyday Minerals Starry-Eyed as an eyeliner.

It’s an interesting color, but I’m not sure it’s useful for me. I was expecting a silvery taupe but on me, (warm ppp) it turns out a blue with brownish undertones. Not what I was expecting to see. If I put it on lightly it looks better. It does have a nice texture, not too shimmery and went on smooth. I probably won’t repurchase.

Cafe Creme is a pretty, light silvery-gray taupe with shimmer. The shimmer isn't over the top. Alos, this eyeshadow is not highly pigmented, which is fine with me (for reference, I have light skin with neutral to warm undertones, MAC NC 25-30, BC 1.2 to 2.0). This color would be great to use if you are going for a more understated, smoky eyed look. Like pelirroja stated below, Cafe Creme and Tapestry Taupe are my faves of the CG eyeshadows.
Cafe Creme isn't chalky in texture. It comes with a sponge applicator - while, I usually prefer to use brushes to apply eyeshadow, I find that the sponge applicator does a pretty good job with distributing the eyeshadow evenly on my eyelids!

What a nice color! Cafe Creme is a neutral silvery greyed-taupe w/ shimmer, and is rapidly becoming a great favorite of mine along with my always-beloved Tapestry Taupe (which has a HG status in my stash). I've been playing a lot w/ this shadow lately and love to pair it w/ almost everything, it's very versatil! Bronzes and greens go beautifully well w/ this little gem. I know CG can be a hit or miss in the shadow department, but for me Cafe Creme turned out to be a *huge* hit. Love it!

This new-ish shade by Cover Girl is wonderful! Pigmented and a very flattering color. This shows up a lavendar-ish silver gray on my lids. I discovered this looks great all over the lid with Mac Club in the crease. I'll use this often and re-purchase. Great deal!

I thought this would give me a smoky eye, but it wasn't dark enough. I do like it for every day. It's a nice warm blue-grey. And for the price, good staying power and texture.

I bought this shadow because I thought it might resemble Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Wash in Stone. Cafe Creme is pretty, but it's too silvery for me. I was impressed with the quality of this eyeshadow, however. CG eyeshadows are hit and miss; some are really smooth and pigmented, while others are chalky and don't show up, depsite how many layers you've applied. This one lasted all day, and like other reviewers mentioned, it's not too dramatic for daytime. I think this color will look good on most skin tones, and it's definitely worth trying.

Great drugstore eye shadow. Cool taupe/greyish-purple color with loads of metallic shimmer. Universal color is a super-blendable for a conservative, daytime smokey eye. Cafe Creme is a drug store knock-off of Shu Uemura ME Brown 850 (which recently replaced ME Silver 945) or a more metallic variation of MAC's Satin Taupe. $3-$4 is an unbelievable deal for a eye shadow that does not crease or smear, even after an entire day rafting on the American River in Sacramento! Will definitely repurchase. (NC30/35, Asian.)

New, and I absolutely love it. It's a pearl taupe brown-gray/silver shimmer--it's neutral and completely wearable for me (MAC NC20, blue-green eyes). I think it's like the famous Shu Uemura color everyone talks about (the name which of course I cannot think of right now!) I apply it with my finger and with black mascara, I'm done!

A VERY sophisticated shade for Cover Girl! When I first bought this shade several months ago, I didn't know if it was an old shade or a new; now I see it is on the Website and NEW. It's an excellent drugstore dupe for Shu ME 945 (lacking Shu's rich metallic finish and silky texture of course), this shade is cooler and more silver-plummy-brown than CG's Tapestry Taupe. Really nice with a lovely shimmer, a fabulous neutral for brown eyes and any other eye shade, I think. Looks great with deep plums, greys and black shadows. I hope they will make it into a Magnetic Color Pot!!!
