This powder did not work for me. It does not give a flawless finish whatsoever and it's staying power is maybe two hours, tops. I would have returned this if I had not gotten it through ebay, after seeing all the good reviews on it.
I generally use pressed powder instead of loose powder, but decided to give this a try because I have heard many good things about loose powder. You have to apply SO much of this to even get any results, and the container is a tad too deep so when you pour a tiny bit into the lid to dab with the brush, it all gets everywhere and is very messy.
This product never claimed that it mattified the skin, but a lot of people said it would mattify a little bit! I never saw any matte going on! This product does claim to make skin luminous, which is a taddd true. It does have more of a glow-ish effect than other powders but most of that "glow" is because it fades so quickly, leaving the skin oily and shiny. I'm all for a natural glow, but not for oiliness that I'm trying to get rid of by putting this powder on!

I never thought I would describe a loose powder as amazing but this one is just that. The reviews here and elsewhere really do this product justice. In sum, it gives a soft, polished finish and controls oil surprisingly well, all without any hint of greasiness. I have combination oily/normal skin and didn't have to touch up all day! I can't even say that about my beloved Ben Nye powders which usually require one touch-up. A definite repurchase.
For reference: NC50 =Deep (strongly compliments yellow/gold undertones) Medium can be used on eye area with great results.

I LOVE this powder! I used it a few years ago and forgot how wonderful it made my skin look! It is a bit pricey for a drug store powder, but please know this is an absolute good powder (and I have oily skin)!
It's soft, smooth, and has a silky feel after putting it on. It does not break me out whatsoever. It has a very very light "luminous" sheen (but NO glitter and doesn't make you "shiney"). Its just simply nice, and has a nice color as I use light since I use facial bronzer but the color light or translucent both work great!
This is my HG powder!!

My favorite powder to date. Great color, sets my makeup without doing that weird coagulating mixture with my foundation or oily skin, doesnt settle into my lines to make my look old and dry, ...what more could I ask for! Pretty solid go to powder.

I've been buying this powder for id say going on 6 years. I always have it. its just a all around awesome setting powder or I apply it during the day after I blot my oil and don't want to add more foundation. I just love it. never has broken me out and has a pleasant smell to it.

I bought this in light translucent. Overall, I didn't see anything special about it. My light beige shade actually makes my pores larger, and makes my face look oilier. My face looked like another layer of beige being piled over my foundation. I'd rather have a powder that doesn't have this kind of layering effect. Based on the excellent reviews I've read, I think this product is made for women with normal skin or older women who want a slight radiance. For people with oily skin, there are more flattering powders out there.

I am loving this. I haven't tried a lot of powders but the ones I used before didn't thrill me (ELF HD left me chalky & Maybellline Dream Matte was fine but I didn't really want to be matte).
I got this because I couldn't afford ballz but still wanted a glowy setting powder. This is really nice. I don't notice it adding much of a glow but it also doesn't take any away. I'm using this in combination with Magic Lumi primer & together they are making me LOVE the look of my skin

I have been trying this out for about a month and realized I don't even think about reaching for any of the other 10 or so powders in my collection. This has become my HG. It is the perfect middle to the way matte or shimmery glittery powders that are out there. I don't like a severe matte but I also don't like dewy or overly luminous either. This suits me really well. I am using light for the summer and will switch to translucent in the fall. It is very finely milled and goes on very smooth and silky. The finish I would say is satin/natural. It makes your skin look like it is just radiant without being shiny. You get a ton of product but I don't care for the $13 price tag. I have come to the conclusion that I hate spending a lot of money on makeup but love makeup. So I have a limit how much I will spend on a product and usually it is $8-$10 for powder. But I broke down and had to try this. I'm glad and will repurchase bu only when it is on sale.
The only thing about this I don't like is he packaging. It's bulky and out dated. I think they could come up with something better.

Overall, this is a good powder given it's cheap cost (about $42 NZD). I use it over my Dior Capture Totale liquid foundation. It mattifies shine and I have no need to touch up during the day. There are two colours available in New Zealand, light and medium. I use it in light...It is slightly peachy, no shimmer, just pure powder. I have acne prone but also dry skin...This did tend to accentuate my dry patches but not as much as other powders (er erm Smashbox Halo or Dior capture totale powder!) This was a good powder overall but I will attempt to find one that doesn't accentuate my dry patches before repurchasing.

To put it simply, this powder does the job. And it does it inexpensively as well. You can't "overdo" this powder. It's light but long lasting. It doesn't cake up or matte up on the skin or look pasty after application. On Saturday when not wearing a full face of makeup, I like to dust it over moisturizer and blush. It gives an almost near to airbrushed look without a lot of effort. It amazes me that this powder was not repackaged and revamped for a L'Oreal reissue. I used to wear the makeup and loved it till they discontinued it. If you hate glitter in your powder or you can't stand that cake flour look that loose powder often delivers, try Translucide. It's the perfect balance to balance out a combination oily/dry complexion.

This is one of the only powders that I actually like! I have dry, sensitive skin and this powder sets my foundation without accentuating my dry spots. I apply it with my Ecotools bronzer brush and it looks flawless (I currently use translucent but am eager to try the light one!). Like other reviewers have said, it does have a strong perfumey smell, but it doesn't linger.

I bought this powder mostly for shine control. While it doesn't absorb more oil than the oil-control powders I've used before, it blends in to the skin better and has a very pleasant scent.

Great powder! Has brightening aspects to it but barely noticeable, but just enough to make a difference. Blends well, no scent, very nice!

This is my HG loose powder. I have combination skin and when I put on my face sunscreen, whether it's the chemical kind or physical kind, I'm always left with a sheen on my face. This powder takes care of it quite nicely and gives the most natural finish I have seen yet (I use the translucent shade). It comes with vitamin C, but I think that's just a gimmick. I can't imagine how the vitamin C is supposed to interact with the skin in dry form, but maybe I am showing my ignorance. I never use the powder puff included in the package. Instead, I shake some powder onto the lid, tap a large powder kabuki brush onto some powder, and swirl the brush over sections of my face. I still get a slight sheen by the afternoon, but it helps keep the oil in check until then.

This is a product that is new to me. I have seen it on the shelves a thousand times but never even gave it a closer look. I was at Ulta when I finally decided to pick this up and it was mainly because they were having a bogo 50% off on L'Oréal, and I needed a loose powder. I like it, it definitely sets my foundation well, has a nice finish (I like a glow) and its relatively inexpensive for how large the container is. I don't think its out of this world awesome, I don't really see a difference between this and other loose powders, but it is quite good. I'm glad I own it and I will keep it around, maybe at some point I will gain more appreciation for it. But at this point I do not see myself re-buying this, I will probably just move on to something else once this is gone and then long for it once its discontinued like I do with everything else.

I've been using this for years, it's so fine and has very fine shimmer, it's perfect for setting my makeup and I can wear it over tinted moisturizer too :) I've re-bought this about 3 times and it's always worked a treat.
Only con is that it's so fine it always makes me sneeze lol.

I am sensitive to fragrance, and this product is highly fragranced. It actually made my skin burn and itch. Back it went.

I have been using this powder for several years now and until recently was very happy with it. Now that a few lines are starting to show on my face I am finding that after a few hours the powder settles into the lines. Looks like the hunt is on for a new powder.
