I have been wanting to try this for ages but everytime I went to get some it was sold out. Finally managed to get hold of some and I am not disappointed! Initially was a bit underwhelmed as the colour looked really dark and when I put some on to try it looked really cakey and made dry patches look worse. But decided to give it another go and am so glad I did. This time I dabbed it on with my finger rather than a concealer brush and I got a much better result. It just seemed to melt into my skin and leave nice smooth finish even over dry skin. If I apply this and then apply foundation over the top my skin looks perfect. One lippie taken off as I don't like it so much for under my eyes, but I still think it's worth buying because everywhere else it's great. It is expensive but like all Bare Minerals products I know it will last for ever so I guess it works out as value for money long term.

After five decades of wearing makeup (I'm 63) I've finally found a concealer that hides the redness around my nose and on my chin from tiny broken capillaries. This mineral powder concealer, called simply "Bisque" (formerly called "multi-tasking concealer") works better than any cream concealer in my still-oily T-zone. It's packaged in a neat little container with a closeable sifter that lets you measure out just what you need. Over the years, I have spent literally thousands of dollars on foundations and concealers to hide redness and some acne scars. Available in five shades, the two lightest, Bisque and Summer Bisque, work beautifully for my NW20 colouring. Cream concealers, even with primer and powder, disappear from my face within ninety minutes. Bisque is good for three or four hours before i have to touch-up. I don't use it under my eyes, but for everything else, this is my HG. Hope they never discontinue this product. If you have redness and oily skin, give it a try. You can always get a free sample from Sephora.
Edited to add: I've just tried "Summer Bisque," another shade of the same product, and I'm switching as I prefer the slightly yellow base. I think it cuts the red a bit better. My other comments still apply. I love this stuff!

I bought this product with high expectations because: a) it's from a company that says their products are actually good for you skin. b) I had read lots of good reviews.
When I started using it I wasn't disappointed, it gave great coverage without feeling heavy on my skin. But soon after I started noticing immediate negative effects on my skin. The overall color of my face turned significantly red, to the point that it looked like my face was from a different body. Also, anywhere were I used the concealer, I experienced immediate heavier outbreaks! Turns out there are ingredients in the makeup that effect a lot of people negatively. As soon as I quit using this and all other products with this ingredient, my skin instantly began healing. It's been about 2-3 weeks, and my face is almost 100% better, with no redness and little-no acne. I would advise you to be very cautious when considering using this product. It was a nightmare for me.

A few years ago I saw a commerical on the company, Bare Minerals. Everyone raved how great coverage it provides especially the concealer for under eyes. After trying over hundreds of products for under eye, I finally turned to this about 5 years ago. I never turned back. It does an amazing job covering dark, dark circles. The trick to get a flawless coat is through moisturizing and the application. If you don't moisturizer before application, I promise you that it will look super cakey and cracked. If you do moisturizer it looks beautiful. At least that is how it works for me. I LOVE this product. To cover my dark circles (I have pretty dark ones), I moisturize with Vaseline's Deep Moisture (perfect moisturizer that lasts for hours). Then I apply a thin coat of Estee Lauder's Base Wear Concealer (I'm seriously in love with how the product sits on your skin and how it does not cake or fill fine lines). Now, I used to use a brush to apply the Bare Minerals concealer, but now I take my ring finger, get a little of the concealer, and dap lightly right below the lower eyelid corner. It gives me the youthful, slept all night, shine. I swear by this product.

I like this concealer a lot! I have also tried another high-end concealers, but this one works the best for me in the under eye area.

I mainly use it to hidemy dark circles and it works very well for this problem. It has pinkish/salmon undertone to it, so it works on those hues of blue and deep purple under the eyes. I apply it with Bare Minerals Concealer brush. After that I apply my foundation.

Almost 6 years ago when I turned 30 my face has decided to turn against me. I have had continuous adult acne on my forehead, chin, cheeks and there is never a day when it is completely clear. After MUCH trial and error and a monetary fortune later I have tried every mineral makeup, facial wash etc out there. Unfortunately my face just does much better when I don't put anything on it including foundation. However, I still get acne flare ups and I have acne scars and dark spots. This is the only concealer I have found that actually works to cover up my imperfections and it blends easily into my skin and I don't have to wear any other make up. I wish I could have smooth, glowing skin and be able to wear any make up foundation on the market but I just can't and it is the only way I can keep my acne under control. I really like this concealer and I am so glad I purchased it because I have tried EVERYTHING!

I bought this concealer mainly to cover a couple dark spots on my face, and it simply did not work. Even when I layered the concealer several times, the spots were still visable. This was okay for covering mild redness, but overall I would not recommend this product.

This is a miracle product sent from heaven! I have been searching for a concealer that would improve the appearance of my hollowed and darkened undereye area. I literally have tried EVERY concealer under the sun. Most
of the thicker ones that covered the dark areas left my undereyes creased and shiny. This only made the hollowness more prevalent. I saw Emily Noel (You Tube) use Bare Minerals over top of a mediocre cream concealer and WOW! I had to buy it straight away. I applied it for the first time in my car which was parked in front of the post office. The difference was astounding! This stuff covers, brightens and mattifies like no other product on the market! Hollowness...GONE!
Dark circles...POOF!
No caking, no creasing and no mid-day touch ups required. Just PERFECTLY FLAWLESS EYES! This is quite possibly my favorite product ever.

This is the original multi-purpose product! I purchased "Original Bisque" from QVC around Christmas 2010 while watching it be applied on the models on Television -Bisque appeared to work great as a concealer, an eyeshadow, a lid primer, AND a loose powder for dusting! So without reading any reviews or doing any checks on how well this worked in real life, I pulled the $18 USD trigger & I am glad I did :)
For $18 you get A TON of product, and I actually think that there's an even larger size available for something like $23 which isn't a bad deal either. I've had my small/medium size tub since late 2010/early 2011 & am still on the same one now in Sept 2012!
If you're going to use this ONLY as an undereye concealer or ONLY as a shadow primer then it may seem expensive for $18, but I feel like it's a steal because it has SO many uses for me.
When I opened my package of Bisque in the mail, it looked terribly pink undertoned, and I have fair skin w/very yellow undertones (I'd be around NC15 in MAC) so I was concerned that this would look crazy pink on me, but thankfully not at all :D It goes on perfectly opaque, not translucent, but opaque & very hard to describe, but it is quite flattering!
I also have terribly dark, evil undereye circles..Does Bisque cover them by itself? -Unfortunately No. But keep in mind mine are *really* bad. (genetics?) but it does work really well with other concealers, some of which don't cover all of my under eye circles on their own, others that are cakey/creasy on their own, but this takes the cakey-ness away, works with them well to cover everything, & leaves a flawless finish.
It is also great as an eyeshadow base (which according to QVC is the original purpose for this product)
&Since it goes on very opaque & brightens, I'm able to take a large fluffy brush and apply a light dusting all over my face as a finishing powder.
Mostly, Bisque is *stellar* for covering any hint of redness I ever have as well as any pimples (I always get a zit around TTOM, every month, & I know that I shouldn't but usually can not resist picking at it -I'm sorry if I'm oversharing! Lol) -but I end up being left with a red blotch every month & this is awesome for that purpose also. -Covering redness beautifully & more importantly, it lasts! (even on my oily skin over the summer in the 90degree PA humidity!)
Most recently I've been multi-tasking this for 3 things: #1 -As a spot concealer. Either on it's own, or under lightweight foundations. -Since recently getting my skin clear & glowing (thanks to the help of the SkinCare & MakeUp Boards!) I've been wanting to only wear lightweight fndtn or no fndtn at all to let my natural skin show through, but always have a flaw or two to hide, & this is what I reach for. I also get face hives (ugh, they're terrible..) -large, itchy red bumps on my face. &Even if I don't scratch at them, they still remain red/pink after the swelling goes down and thankfully this covers them without looking like I'm actually using makeup to cover them (if that makes sense? ;D)
Current use for Bisque #2 -Around my eyes. On my lids as an e/s base, and under my eyes as a concealer setting powder. &This is the only setting powder I will use under my eyes. I've had so many negative experiences with under eye products & I know that this does not irritate my eyes & performs overtop of *any* concealer I'll use. (Also, if I'm in a pinch I can use my regular foundation under my eyes as concealer & top it with this! -Works great!)
&Lastly (for now at least ;D) -As a dusting/finishing powder. I do have picky skin that tends to breakout or clog up from strange things, but I've had zero breakout issues with this. I use the largest fluffy brush I own (I think it's a no-name walmart brush actually?) and just pour a small amount on the cap, swirl my brush in the powder, tap it off on the cap, then lightly buff on (just like the BE paid commercial instructs for using their fndtns) -it's a great radiant glow. Either alone or over any foundation.
I highly reccomend this to anyone since it's such a great multi-tasking product, but especially someone with problems like mine that I shared above. If I could rate this 10 lippies I would. Needless to say I plan to repurchase & give Original Bisque 5 lippies all the way! :)

I was sceptical about this finely milled powder-like concealer but was pleasantly surprised by how it doesn't feel like make up.

This covers up minor blemishes and redness very easily and blends in well with the surrounding skin. An excellent choice for evening out skin on eyelids before eye shadow.

However, this does not work well for under-eye circles, mine are not overly dark -they are visible through a few applications. Leave that to your usual liquid concealer.

For that, I find the asking price extremely expensive for what it is.

I used to use Benefit's Bo-ing concealer but since discovering BE about ten years ago, I've been using Bare Escentuals Bisque ever since and have re-purchased many times. I wouldn't even consider using anything else as this does exactly what I want it to and requires very little if any touch up throughout the day or night. I use it sparingly on any blemish areas that require attention. Cheifly for covering the odd spot or broken capillary and as concealer around my eyes which are my greatest problem area as I have had dark circle issues since my early 20's. I've found that application with any concealer in the eye area requires the less is more approach to avoid caking or exaggerating any crepiness. Bisque allows me to cover (or at least improve) this area without me feeling self conscious of it being too apparently 'made-up' in daylight as I prefer a more natural look to cosmetics generally and use them to enhance not mask. I am fair skinned and don't like to tan so the shade of the original Bisque is perfect for me. It is a firm staple.

I have used this ever since I have had to conceal. Its all I use to conceal redness on my nose and occassional acne. it conceal really well, the only problem I have with it is it doesnt stay all that well, I have to reapply it. Its the perfect color for my fair skin and I havent found a better concealer and it doesn't cause breakouts, so I am content.

I thought this would be great because there are so many youtuber that love this. but i was disappointed
This is a loose powder concealer with pink color. So if you don't want a brighten effect than this product might not be for you.Maybe i just don;t know how to use this, I start out by putting this over another concealer(first way i ever saw it used)This doesn't go on to easily over cream it looks a little cakey.I have tried this on first and then put the cream concealer over top and that 's better but i find this is just too difficult to use.THIS is 2g for 20$ so it should be easier to use.

This is a multi tasker if ever there was one, PERIOD. They choose to identify this as a concealer. It's not that I don't agree however, if one is heavily lined in the under eye area I would prefer a cream formula. A very rich cream on concealer (one w/good coverage) will accent deep lines LESS than anything which is powder (mineral or not.) I'm not heavily lined in my under eye area, particularly where there is discoloration (under, inner eye area) which is where most people have dakness, not at the outer eye (crows feet, laugh lines) which all products which contain pigments for color/coverage should be AVOIDED! This is a very finely milled mineral/powder product. The fact that it is a mineral gives it a bit of sheen w/out looking sparkly or frosted which makes it a perfect cover for under eye. You could not do this w/a talc based product as it would make this fragile (undereye) area look dry and cakey. Due to the lightness (tone) of the payoff it limits the skin coloring it can be used as an undereye concealer. It's best used on fair to medium toned skin. Darker skin colors can use this as an eyeshadow or overall hi-liter. This is why I like it so much as it serves me as a concealer for undereye, an eyeshadow base, as an eyeshadow or just a line of hi-lite above eyeliner and as a hi-liter on/above the cheekbone in conjunction with blush. Because of it's texture (loose) I have the ability to mix it into a moisture lotion/cream thereby creating an emmolient, lightened sheen effect. It's the perfect last step in your make-up application:: I will use this mixture starting at the outer/undereye area moving it along the upper cheekbone and the very smallest, leftover amount I apply over concealer and onto the apple of the cheek. It "floats" any make-up pigment which might settle into fine lines as well as hi-liting those areas which look best when they are pulled forward by the lightening. The overall glow this gives the skin (whether used dry or as mixed w/emmolient) I find essential in a proper appliction of make-up. This "glow" I refer to embelishes the skin to make it seem younger, more vibrant and healthy and isn't that the reason for make-up in the first place? It's highly concentrated so a very small amount goes a long way therby eliminating the need to repurchase often, It lasts forever (not only meaning you'll never run out of it, but also staying on the skin 'till you remove it.) What more can one ask for in a single product? Most Highly Recommended!!!

After trying virtually every concealer on the market--high-end and low-end--I've come back to Bisque. Why did I ever leave? It's easy to use, and covers my dark under-eye circles and discoloration.

It lasts until I take it off--16 hours or more. I love the new click&go jars; no more mess.

I'll be putting a whole boatload of concealers up for swap very soon.

I have fair skin and thought bisque would be perfect to cover my undereye area in conjunction with cream concealer. Yikes! It is so pink. I top it with loose powder in beige simply to reduce the salmon tone. One cream + two powders = serious cake and obvious fine lines. I now have Summer Bisque and hope it's the right product.

Bisque is an incredible concealer. It has great coverage, but is so light that I can use it on blemishes and it doesn't appear caked on. Since I have eczema scars and acne marks I need to cover, sometimes I use a cream concealer underneath the bisque and it works great with other products. It also doesn't buff off when I apply my BE foundation, either. The only gripe I have is the shade. They make bisque in a darker color - summer bisque - but they need to make it in a lighter shade. I wear the fair shade in BE, and although the bisque works fine as it is now, sometimes I do notice it's darker than my skin tone. It would be perfect if it was the same shade as my foundation.

Initially I was in love with this product. It was light and really did the trick in covering my blemishes. HOWEVER, I did some research and found this out:

It has an ingredient called Bismuth oxychloride. This ingredient "frequently causes irritation and sensitization such as redness, itching, rashes and inflammation...It can also worsen acne to a cystic level, and cause Rosacea to flare. For this reason, it is not recommended for sensitive skin types, especially those with acne or Rosacea."

Needless to say, while it was covering my blemishes it was worsening my skin. Yikes! The search continues...

I love this product. This is my fourth time buying the large container. Two of my daughters, in their 20s now, use Bisque to cover and treat their occasional breakouts. Zinc is a healing ingredient for blemishes, and Bisque covers beautifully while treating skin problems. Once he saw this product wasn't for girls only, my 13-year old son used it on his forehead and on the sides of his nose and was impressed how well it covered and how naturally. I use it myself for those tiny red broken capillaries on the sides of the nose--they instantly disappear, and I don't have to worry that I'm putting anything that will clog my pores on my face. It's a quality product, and I'll likely keep buying it as long as the price doesn't go up.
