I bought a few sample size/few use packets at Sally's and a few full sized of a lot of products and I'm going to use them all at least twice before making a final decision, but I'm going to start now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The products were: Proclaim Argan Oil Intense Hydrating Masque, Creme of Nature Argan Oil Intensive Conditioning Treatment, Ion Effective Care Treatment, One 'n Only Brazilian Tech Keratin Deep Penetrating Conditioning Treatment, Silk Elements MegaSilk Moisturizing Treatment, Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Treatment, Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol Conditioning Treatment, Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is light, along the lines of the Ion, Proclaim, Creme of Nature and One 'n' Only. This got bad reviews, but I really like it!!!! It beat out a good lot of these, probably in between Proclaim and the One 'n' Only, which was a fav. I did pick up the Mayo based on the great reviews for it, but haven't tried it yet. I think it's worth getting the small packet for this. Their olive oil conditioner was nice too, but I like this more. A bit more silk in this one.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I also started sleeping with a satin scarf on further down my treatment testing experiment, and that seemed to help enormously, so I will be doing that if I try this again, but I already used this twice without doing anything special and my hair felt silkier than many other treatments.
probabaly wouldnt buy it again. It worked ok...made my hair feel a bit softer and a bit bouncy..but nothing real special that a regular conditioner cant do. I much prefer my olive oil replenishing PAK that comes in a single packet the same way.
I have damaged colored so i am always on the hunt for something to make my hair soft, shiny, and make it somewhat healthy. This smells good but didn't really do anything.
Used this once and my hair has not recovered from it. it made my hair worse. It became more spongy, poufy and dry. I won't use it or buy it again.
I have only used this product one time as a trial. I usually use Silk Elements Leave In Conditioning Creme which leave my hair very soft. So when using this, I did feel that my hair stayed a bit tamer than usual. I have very long, thick, curly, dry hair so this is a very good thing. I would buy this product again....the price wasn't bad
Couldn't tell a difference in the state of the hair. Glad I only bought the small packet instead of the full sized bottle. Was worth a try. May be a better treatment for fine and thinner haired ladies.
I LOVE this. It leaves my hair feeling really soft and it is always on sale at Sally's for like $6.99. I love the whole product line but this is one of my favorite must have products. When I use this I put it in the shower, then put a scolding hot wash cloth on top, then put a shower cap on top of that. I leave it for like 10 minutes while I shower and it leaves my hair feeling WONDERFUL. I think it is much better than my expensive for no reason Moroccan Oil deep conditioner, which didn't leave my hair feeling as soft and conditioned. I would highly recommend this product.
I picked up a packet of this at Sally Beauty for a couple of bucks. I have color-treated hair in pretty good condition. This didn't do much of anything, so there is no reason to ever buy it again. Try the Ion Effective Care conditioner instead.
Really nothing special. Leaves my hair feeling normal, not dry but not well moisturized either. It also smells a bit odd, kind of acidic. There's definitely better deep treatments out there!
I have used this as a basic after-shampoo conditioning rinse and it worked just like any other rich conditioner for me. However, this stuff really works when used as a weekly deep conditioning treatment with heat. I apply the thick conditioner, pop on a shower cap and sit under a hair bonnet for 15 minutes. Rinse out and then I apply Roux porosity control treatment and my hair and scalp are moisturized. I have fine dry hair and sometimes my scalp gets dry/itchy from some of the products I use on it. Megasilk relieves this problem quickly for me. Definitely will repurchase as it is often on sale at Sally Beauty. Contains glycerin, silicones, silk amino acids and olive oil.
I like this product, but reading Beautyhurts' review pointed out something to me. The first use amazes, but I guess it wears off after that. I used it a couple of times, and each time it seemed to moisturize less and less. I used it just last night, and this morning my hair doesn't feel particularly more moisturized. It does feel soft, but maybe I just didn't use enough. Overall though I give this four lippies because it's cheap and maybe if I use more I will see more of a difference next time.
This stuff works really well and is really affordable, as you don't need to use a very large amount in order to get the job done. Scent is nice, consistency feels nourishing, and I notice a textural difference in my hair the second I rinse it out. It even comes in a 'trial-sized' pouch (which costs less than $2) so you can try it before springing for the bigger container. I haven't tried tons of conditioning treatments but I feel I don't really need to, now that I've found this. Try it!
I am surprised that I had not written a review on this product. I have been using it for over a month and I love it. My hair is long and thick and very unruly. This tames and detangles my hair. My hair color does not fade either. In comparison with Pureology and all other expensive brands, this is superior.
Okay, this conditioner and L'oreal's Nature's Therapy are both interchangable for me. They both do the exact same thing, smell wonderful... the only real difference that I notice is that this conditioner is almost always on sale at Sally's. I think I've paid $6.99 every time I've purchased this. I use it maybe once a week or so and it leaves my hair silky soft. I hate the awkward giant tub it comes in though!
works fine, but worried about the second ingredient being alcohol... might be drying? used it a few times this month, and it seemed to condition well. wish it was in a pump or tube though as it is a huge, inconvenient jar.
I have been looking for that HG product for ever. This is close, but not the one. This leaves my hair nice, but not enough moisture as I need. After using this for a few times, I noticed it stopped working as well. Trying to use the container in the shower is a pain!
