I recently ran out of my Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H and I am no where near civilization so I was looking to buy a drugstore foundation that I really am always hesitant to buy but I saw that this one got such great reviews so I bought it. I'm not sure of the qualities if this foundation because as soon as I got it I tried some on the back of my hand and man was it super pinky orange. The texture was really smooth though but I'm super super pale, the maybelline fit me in 110 is a perfect match for my skin so you can see the issue there. However if you are tan and are not yellow toned then I would suggest this makeup for you. Price is about $10 and I didn't mind the packaging. I will not be repurchasing.

I have to say, I'm rediscovering CG--their color in foundations for me is spot on--the ivory matches me perfectly--pinkish cheeks, peachy/yellow undertones, very fair/porcelain skin--so neutral fair shades work best for me. I love this cream foundation--I have dryish skin in my cheeks and more oily in the T-zone, and this works like a dream--the compact is a bit bulky for the tiny amount of product you get, but for the price, you can't beat it. No strong smell, glides right on and sets to a soft matte finish which lasts with a dusting of powder over my t-zone most of the day. I've used absolutely every single foundation, tinted moisturizer, bb-cream, and powder that's out there, and this one is pretty close to HG status for me. also love the new CG Outlast liquid foundation in SPF20 in Ivory.....

This foundation is VERY nice and also affordable. I don't really care for cream foundations after trying Maybelline's Dream Smooth Mousse, which totally oxidized on me! I really do like Cover Girl Foundations so I wanted to try this out because a compact foundation would be very nice on the go. This creme is very easy to blend and has the same array of shades that Cover Girl's other foundations have. If you have used a foundation from Cover Girl that matched you, you can choose another foundation, like this one in the same color you have been using. This compact in slim and nice and the sponge is okay. But the sponge is very cheap so it will most likely break after some uses. A sponge is the key tool to cream foundations though, which is why Cover Girl sells a separate pack of 3 sponges to refill if needed. This has a nice powdery finish to it, so you can skip the setting step, but you can if you want. This foundation has light to medium to full coverage, depending on how you you build it. Overall, this is a great foundation for at home, and/or on the go!

This is pretty much the only foundation I use. I do not like liquids or powders. This is a perfect in between product. It goes on smooth and provides good coverage that is not very heavy. It lasts all day and does not make my skin greasy. SPF is an added bonus, though I always use an SPF moisturizer under it.
If you have dry, flakey skin, this will emphasize it as it is not super moisturizing. On some winter days when I get dryness I tend to use a BB cream (Smashbox), but otherwise I stick to this. I think I am on my fifth package or more.

I have been using this product off and on for about 4 years. I really only use it in winter. It is a good quality product for the price. It goes on smooth and when used with a primer lasts all day. I get many compliments on my skin. I do always add a little Avon mineral makeup over it. It makes an airbrush affect. The two together are wonderful.

One of my best friends has been using this product for years and her skin always looks flawless and smooth. I really liked it's ease of portability and application. On a recent trip my friend was able to pull out her little compact and easily touch up and her makeup looked great! So I decided I should give this a try. I usually use foundations from lancome, clinique, Dior to name a few so I wasn't expecting much from this. I was pleasantly surprised that I really liked the smooth finish this gave. It's quick and easy to apply too. The packaging doesn't bug me too bad I think it's ok considering the product is great!

Now, the only negative (and it's a big one for me) is the lack of yellow-toned shades. I am an NC30 in MAC with very yellow undertones. I have to combine Buff Beige and Soft Honey to get a good color match. The colors in between those two were so pink I couldn't believe it. So it really bugs me that this product is supposed to be so convenient to tote around in your purse and I can't do that because I have to mix shades. It's hard to hold two of those big compacts in one hand while your trying to apply with your other hand. To me that's the point of a compact, to make it easier to apply and take with you on the go. Anyway, it really bothers me to say the least. So I do use this at home where I can lay both compacts on my counter and mix and apply but I'm sad it's too hard to apply on the go.

Well, I never thought I'd find myself buying a CG foundation since I have't tried anything CG since I was about 15. However, affter a big disapointment with an h/e fndt I was desperate for one that worked without splurging. If you get a good one, cream to powder foundations are notoriously easy to apply, so I thought I'd seek one out at my d/s. I was immediatly pleased to see that AquaSmooth has 9% Tio2 as it's spf. The addition of a stable mineral spf is always enticing to me. Anyway, I bought it in the lightest shade (Ivory 705). For referene, I am NW10. The coverage can be built up to solid medium without looking cakey. It is easier to apply than powder foundation and the finish much silkier looking. It lasts maybe 4 hours in regular indoors temps without touch-up. The good thing is that this stuff is incredibly easy to touch-up if you carry a compact with you. Packaging: It looks like a mini blue spaceship or some kind of ancient contreceptive container. I wish it were smaller and the sponge included bigger. I tried wearing this fndt for a few days and finally decided that much as I liked the ingredients, finish and ease of application the shade was simply wrong for me_ too dark and too yellow. I think this fndt wouldn't work on complexions lighter than NC15. But for the price and the quality of product I am giving it 5 lippies because I am sure it would work out great for many ladies.Oh, and no weird CG smell either.

If you're using Revlon Colorstay for normal/oily skin right now, you will want to give this a try. Here's why: while using Colorstay, I noticed (over a long period of time) that my pores were actually becoming larger - probably in part because that stuff does not want to come off your skin, and toner was a must. When I bought Aqua Smooth, I wasn't expecting any miracles (although I was hopeful because of the positive reviews here). I had used these types of pan-creme makeups in the past and felt that they always got "gunky" looking on my skin after about 4-5 hours. The first day I applied this, I wasn't initially that impressed. Around mid-day, I did my lunch time oil-blotting and noticed that I should have just left well enough alone. My skin, before blotting was glowy, but not greasy, and I was blotting because I always did. The blotting made the coverage turn from glowy to powdery and uneven. Next day, I didn't blot and didn't add powder. I was dreading looking in the mirror late afternoon - surely I would be an oil slick by then. But, amazingly, my skin and makeup looked the same as it did at lunch! Coverage is medium, and buildable if you're careful. Finally, after a week, I've noticed that when I remove my makeup (and by the way, this stuff easily comes off with a decent cleanser), my pores are looking smaller and my skin doesn't seem so stressed out. I think this stuff has B vitamins in the formula, so maybe it's helping fortify my skin. Oh, and you can eliminate your primer with this - completely unnecessary and actually detracts from it's wearability. I cleanse, then apply Equate Ultra Gentle Oil Free moisturizer (Neutrogena dupe). Let it sink in for 5 minutes or so before applying Aqua Smooth. I let the Aqua Smooth "dry" after applying for another 5 minutes (do my eye makeup during that time). I top the makeup off with CG Clean Pressed Powder. Easy, very affordable and looks great! For reference, I wore Sand Beige in Colorstay and found a perfect match with Buff Beige - both the Aqua Smooth and the powder. And finally, I almost forgot and this is a big selling point - no oxidation with this! Zero, all day. And Colorstay did oxidize throughout the day. Cheaper than Colorstay too - and always plenty of CG coupons in the Sunday paper. You really just can't go wrong with this :)

This is a really great formulation at this price point if you find a good colour match. It has a decent SPF, builds easily and covers well.

I read a few of the negative reviews, and I think the problem is actually the crappy sponge. It grabs way too much product. Try using the Sephora compact sponge, or even your fingers, to apply the product and see how you like it. Your compact will last longer that way too.

This foundation is awesome! Pretty sure my search of an HG foundation has ended. I've used everything found in a drug store: maybelline superstay, revlon colorstay, hard candy, loreal infallible, I mean EVERYTHING.

I have a few left over acne scars and this stuff covers them like a dream. It looks natural and stays all day. I was using Revlon Colorstay for a while and it was starting to look awful! This foundation lets my skin breathe and is easy to take off at the end of the day.

I apply it with a flat top brush, then blend with my fingers. I am so glad I gave this product a second chance, after using it about a year ago. I have NEVER written a review for a foundation, but this foundation is too amazing I had to. Try it, you won't be sorry!

I haven't worn CoverGirl since i was in high school - ages and ages ago. I don't know what got into me when I purchased this product, lol. But I'm really glad i did!

I have a very tough time finding foundations that match because i have terrible scarring and blotchy complexion from acne - even when my skin is clear. Therefore, I like to wear a light coverage of this foundation over a tinted moisturizer - which helps even my skin tone better. It covers lovely.

How I apply: Using the ecotools dual fiber kabuki brush for a thin application. I'm a little afraid to pile too much on because I'm oily and prone to breakouts. So I concentrate on my problem areas and blend out very thin. I can even use it as a spot concealer. Works pretty good! And So far no breakouts from it.

This is a smooth and pliable foundation. I think it leaves a nice finish and doesn't look as greasy as my CoverFx cream foundation does. It almost has a velvety finish (??), not matte but not dewy. I sometimes set my Tzone with the lightest dusting of baby powder.

Even though the packaging is quite sturdy its a bit absurd in it's size and shape. I'd appreciate a smaller container perhaps with a better mirror, especially since i have to use two colors for a proper match.
I'll buy it again.

Overall Rating: 3/5
SKIN BACKGROUND: Oily, acne prone, SUPER sensitive, mild scarring and discoloration, beige skin with dominant yellow undertones.

I bought this in hopes to find a dupe for the Cle de Peau Cream foundaion.

PRICE: $10 US Dollars
COVERAGE: Light-Medium. Don't even bother using the sponge, it will not give you the coverage potential this stuff has. Use either a flat brush or a stipple brush. I use the Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush, and it works well.
FINISH: Soft-powder finish, which is my favorite kind of finish for the winter! CAN accentuate dry patches though, so be careful! Exfoliate and moisturize.
TEXTURE: Creamy and smooth and light :)
SCENT: Yes, it has the faint scent of sunscreen
SPF: 15
LASTING POWER: Because so many people had problems with lasting power, I didnt bother testing it without primer/powder. I used the Rimmel Fix and Perfect Pro primer, and the CoverGirl Simply Powder on top. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not get shiny within an hour, like I do with many foundations. I have not worn it while doing anything vigorous though, but I will say it lasted on me for about 8 hours. It also kept my skin hydrated, which is nice.
SHADES: This is ofcourse, the one main flaw this foundation has. Not only is it difficult to find your shade, but a lot of the shades seem strongly pink-ish toned. I found my match the "725 Buff Beige", which has some yellowness to it. However! Don't judge the color of the foundation when swathed on the back of your hand. Many foundations look different on your face than they do on your hand, because the skin on your face has a different PH, so the color will adhere to THAT kind of surface, as apposed to your hand. Also, your face is usually paler than your hands... Ok, that was my mini rant :)
DID THIS BREAK ME OUT?: This does tend to clog my pores :(
PACKAGING: Another small gripe with this foundation. Not only is the packaging a bit bulky, but its kind of old and retro looking... Kind of out-of-place looking on my vanity. But hey, I would rather pay for a good product then pay extra for fancy packaging.
WOULD I REPURCHASE?: No
FINAL VERDICT: I am still impressed with this, even though I probably wouldnt buy it again. It was 100 times better then I thought it would be. Would be amazing for dry skin.

I didn't mind this product at first, but once I looked at it in a natural light.. -shudders-. It had good coverage, but it cakes on and wasn't colored right; the color pallet they have is very pink-based and it didn't work well at all with my very neutral skin tone. And not to mention, it broke me out very badly. But my pink-faced Mamma-jamma had no troubles with it.

Like it a lot, but staying power alone isn't great. I just discovered my HG concealer Hard Candy Glamoflauge, so maybe now it will all come together the staying power and coverage of the concealer and texture of this foundation.

Perfection! Yes, I have tried in the past 3 weeks every high end make up, Sisley, Dior you name it I've sat there had it put on me and never did I feel clean when I walked out of the store. As soon as I would sail in the door off it came, even though I looked great! Then, after giving up I was in Target looked at this and said "let me give this a try" and low and behold it's fantastic! Light weight, sheer coverage, finding the correct color was a challange but I found it in Creamy Beige..the packaging is perfect. You can take it with you for touch ups without feeling like you are globbing on makeup! All this bliss and only $7.49...WOW ! Yes, I recommend it and will continue to buy it. Perfection! Merry Christmas to me and to you!

I have tried it all...Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Dior, Shiseido, Armani... Read a review and thought what do I have to lose? $7.97 roughly. I have red cheeks, and oily t-zone but dry cheeks in the winter. I am pale but have cool undertones yet want a color that neutralized red. Saying that I picked up 705 color I think it's classic Ivory. I just tried the famous milk of magnesia primer ( I just shake vigorsouly and use what adheres to the cap and lightly cover face with a stipple brush) I apply this foundation over the MOM primer and WOW!! Nice dewey finish yet it stays in place all day. Color is great!! I have no complaints. Just bought a second compact for my purse ( I do hate that you can't see color of foundation via compact in the store when purchasing) Great foundation plus spf!

This is my favorite creme foundation. Literally.......you can slap it on your face and go. It applies smoothly, feels lightweight, is moisturizing without being greasy, and has SPF 15. I have normal skin, and it still looks okay at the end of the day. Definitely a keeper.

The best drugstore foundation I've ever used, actually better than most high end foundations i've tried. for reference I have dealt with acne my entire life and finally have it under control using the acne.org regimen, but still have alot of hyperpigmentation and scars. i've used many high end foundations for my scars - estee lauder, mac, make up forever, bare minerals, pure minerals (both irritated my skin like crazy, some people can't do minerals). this is the best one i've tried and it was 7 bucks! it covers amazingly and gives a flawless finish and lasts a pretty long time. I won't stop buying this. the only foundation i've tried that gives a nice finish without being too dry or overly moist. great foundation.

Scoff if you must, but this is (dare I say it) the best foundation I've ever used. EVER. Ever, ever, ever.

I use Buff Beige and it is absolutely perfect for NC25 coloring. I was surprised that this color did not overtly have a pink tone to it since most CG foundations do. Zero oxidation.

The formulation is divine: lightweight, never cakey, makes my skin look flawless, doesn't break me out (!!!!) and looks incredibly natural all day. Only have to blot maybe 1x/day, if that. Excellent for normal/combo/dry skin. If you're on the oily side, this probably won't hold up as well. I still set this with a sheer pressed powder, although if you're drier than me, you could get away without doing so.

I apply this with a Sigma F84 and i only have to tap my brush ever so slightly into the pan to get desired coverage. Blends with my skin effortlessly. End result just looks like my skin but better.

Covers redness OK, still have to use a bit of concealer on my cheeks. I prefer a natural/light coverage look anyway and this foundation is exactly that.

I'm still in shock that after all the foundations I've tried (ELF to Guerlain), this is the one that is the end-all/be-all for me. I will repurchase forever. :)
