I do not wear pink. No, I do not.
But I wear this. This 80's “florescent” pink...hot, deep electric pink. Wear it with a black outfit and your set of ten nails become this flashing neon sign, a statement that people comment on. With black heeled gladiator sandals?...yes, please. This is the hot pink color you see the punk girls wearing...in fact, my punk friend told turned me on to the color. My sorta punk/vampy self thinks this all sorts of awesome...on tanned skin or dayglow ghosts like myself.
True to all neon form: quick dry, needs a few coats, dries matte. The matte look is pretty cool and I think I prefer it with this color, but if you like shine, just add a top coat. I have no doubt I'll repurchase. IMO, this looks best on finger-tip length.

This is a neon shimmer, and most certainly more magenta then purple! It has subtle shimmers, yet does indeed dry matte, so I'd recommend a topcoat with this one absolutely. It does have a few cons I find typically with neon polishes: slightly streaky, chips faster and is slightly thin in formula.
But the color just *pops* against my NW15 fair skin and according to many reviewers below looks great on tanned skin as well! I do with it would be opaque at 2-3 coats instead of 4 but I still find it's worth it. The good outweighs the negative aspects!

Purple Panic is a neon purple with electric hot pink undertones. It is my favorite neon polish. It's like the 80's in a bottle. I like how it looks against my tan hands and always think brunettes look sexy in anything purple. Love love love this color.

Hands down this is my FAVORITE China Glaze polish! I'm on either my fourth or fifth bottle of this and will continue to buy as long as it's available. If you were to look through my nail polish collection, you'd find a large variety of pinks and purples - many of which look quite similar. Purple Panic, on the other hand, is probably one of the most unique colors I've ever purchased.
Everytime I wear this polish, I receive so many compliments and questions about who makes this color. It's absolutely phenomenal!
The only thing that I would've changed or edited about this polish is the name. It's much more of a pink than purple, but obviously that's not a deal breaker. They could called it Black Magic for all I care and I'm still buying it lol
A little more about Purple Panic...
It's a neon, so obviously it's going to dry matte and a bit streaky until you add a couple coats plus top coat. Vibrant pink color with slight pearl effect. Dries very fast (because it's neon) and several coats are necessary. (Usually do 2, sometimes 3) Looks AMAZING with shatter/crackle overlay. *Warning* Will result in TONS of compliments!
***NOTE TO REVIEWERS: DO NOT GIVE ANY POLISH A BAD REVIEW BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T KNOW IT WOULD DRY MATTE - ALL NEONS DRY THIS WAY!***
Hope you all give this one a try. China Glaze really hit the mark with this one!!

This is a really pretty, bright summery shade. As others already said, it's not really purple at all.. a gorgeous neon magenta! Looks great with a tan!
There isn't anything bad to say about this polish, but the reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that CG neons are a little difficult to work with. It took 3 coats and two top coats to get it right and sometimes the coats go on a little thick and then chip really easily. That is the only downfall, but I would def repurchase this one.

Hot neon purple that looks so good with a tan. It chips easy though. It covers in about 3-4 coats and dries super fast.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Very Oily, Fair, Warm Hair: Blond, Curly, Coarse Eyes: Green
As others have said, this is a very bright neon magenta that goes on matte. No photo I've seen can really capture this color as it is a true neon. I haven't had any problems with this going on, I applied 2 coats after my base coat, it dried very quickly and I then applied my topcoat and it's perfect.
Very nice for pedicure for summer.

beautiful bright magenta. I wouldn't call it purple at all, but there is something magically 80s about this color. Covers well in two coats, but its dull without a topcoat because of its neon quality.
Interestingly, I bought this twice because the color separated really badly and turned into a whiteish dull pink over time.

SUCH a nice magenta! I feel like a rockstar with this shade on.. great for fair or deeper skin tones... a must have looks great..It dries kind of matte, so you then need a topcoat but once you do that it is SO NICE!!! I might even need a backup! And, the fact that it dries kind of matte makes it such a SPEEDY manicure!

One of my all time favorites! It isn't really purple, on me it's kind of a neon pink. It's really matte, so I would suggest wearing a shiny topcoat. Looks fabulous on toes too!

This is a very bright magenta colour. It is a little more on the pink side than the purple side. I found that it was a little matte and did not apply well on top of China Glaze base coat. It took me three coats to fully cover my nails and it chipped after one day of wear (this is with a base and top coat). I was quite surprised since I swear by China Glaze polishes and they usually last on my nails for quite some time. I will not buy this colour again.

I have actually borrowed this polish from my friend since I saw her wearing it one day and she lent it to me. Now, I keep asking her to use it! The color is absolutely fabulous and I am going to purchase my own very soon. It looks good on any skin color and it is perfect for spring/summer. I have gotten compliments on it from other friends asking me what I had on and they wanted to go out and buy it.

Do not be deceived - this is NOT very purple... more of a magenta... and not very neon. With that said... I love this color. It's not too "Barbie" but it isn't boring... It's unique! It's a color that would work well with any complexion. I love it with my super pale complexion, but my best friend wore it and it looked great with her chocolate skin. My only complaint is that it's a bit runny... but I layered 2 medium coats and it looked perfectly opaque. I like to use a top coat over it for a bit more shine, as the shine is minimal on its own (but definitely not a true matte polish). I will definitely repurchase when I run out... which will be a first for me! I've never used a polish as consistently as this one.

Gorgeous color, absolutely horrible formulation. Very matte finish and super super streaky. Very thin so, you need 3-4 coats to make it opaque and then a very shiny top coat. The regular finish is 100% matte, UGLY. Love CG but, hate their neon polishes.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium Hair: Brunette, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Green
Lovely hot purple color! Flat color that definitely needs a shiny top coat.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I bought this in the beginning of 2008 at Sally's. This is the perfect neon hot pinkish/magenta color. It's more on the cool side but can work with any complexion. I like how it looks against my black peeptoe shoes. People have complimented me on this shade so many times.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue
This polish has a strange formulation - It dries a little on the matte side. The colour is a little weird too. I found it very streaky and uneven to apply. That being said, it is VERY bright and very eye catching.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Oily, Fair Hair: Brunette, Straight, Fine Eyes: Hazel
This is such a fun, bright colour and I love wearing it. I am a huge purple fan so when I found this I was pretty excited to add it to my collection. Upon application though I found it to be more of that pink/purple, which is nice, but was kind of deceptive of what you see in the bottle. Great smooth application and long wear like usual with CHG. I like the colour, and so does everyone else who sees me wearing it.
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Very Oily, Fair-Medium, Warm Hair: Brunette, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Grey
I love this nailpolish! I have so many CG's, but this is definately one of my favourites! It's a really bold and vibrant color, purple-ish with some kind of blue shine-through when you look at it in the sun. Gorgeous, and really does stand out! :)
(Does need a top coat though, it does not shine on its own at all - but I always use topcoats, so no biggie for me)
