I personally do not view this as a foundation. It seems to fall somewhere between a tinted primer and a tinted moisturizer, but is better than either of those on their own. I am a N1 in MAC and I'm able to use the shade Radiant. The color looks extreamly dark but it sheers out since you need so little product. The gel is very moisturizing but doesn't leave an overly dewy feel or look to the skin, just a natural finish. I use this on my "no makeup" days or as a primer under light foundations when I need more coverage. The gel seems to blur imperfections and even out skin tone. By no means does it make them go away but it does make them look better. For the most part my skin is problem free but I do get the odd patch of spots here and there so I just add concealer over top the gel on those days. Since my skin care routine has a SPF (Mary Kay TimeWise Miricale set normal/dry) I don't mind that it doesn't have an SPF. I find it makes it more versatile for me since I can use it day or night with no white cast from flash cameras. Over all for me, this product is great! I will repurchase.

WHO WOULD LIKE IT:
-Those with minor to no skin problems
-Those who like sheer coverage
-Beides as a primer
-Mature skin types
-very dry, dry, normal, and combination skin

WHO WOULD NOT LIKE IT:
-Those who like anything above sheer to sheer/light coverage
-Those who want SPF in all face products
-Those with oily to very oily skin

I am 44 years old and have uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation and acne scars with typically 1-2 blemishes 50% of the time. My mature skin needs coverage. I use this as a primer under Make Up Forever HD foundation. What a great combination for me. I am so pleased with the results. If I had less troubled skin I would wear it alone. It would make a great foundation for someone who needs minimal coverage. Love it, but agree with a previous review that says it would be helpful to have a clear bottle.

This is a very, very sheer foundation (more like a tinted primer). I only use it on its own when my skin is behaving; otherwise it's just not enough coverage. However, when my skin is already looking good then this product is great for just evening out my skin tone and blurring tiny blemishes and fine lines. It's super lightweight and non greasy too. It's a nice "my skin but better" type product that's good for everyday use.

I recommend trying it over your Spf to help mask the greasy shine that sun protection leaves behind.

I returned the Luminous shade because it had dimethicone.. I believe the clear one is without dimethicone

Ok, so there are certain hyped up products out there that for some reason I just get sick if hearing about and ultimately set out to debunk the buzz...I don't know why...I just do! :). This was one of those products. On the search for a good working high end primer, this stuff kept popping up almost every time...it seemed over glamorized and trumped up, however people seem to either love or hate it. I wasn't even willing to try it at first, so you can imagine my discern when I received one of my hauls one day...and inside the box, a teeny sample tube of this stuff was smiling at me from inside as to say nah nah na-na nahhhh! I had not chosen this as a sample, so I was like, ok karma, I get it! I tossed it in a makeup pouch and forgot about it. ::FFwd to a few weeks later:: I'm up one night bored and decide to play makeup (don't lie, you've alllll done it!). I was running low on my primer of the moment and didn't want to waste it on a late night makeup experiment, so I went digging thru my bag of primers to find one that'd do. That blasted tube of Perfekt was the first thing that fell out...so I figured I'd try it. Also, the sample was in the shade "radiant" which looked scarily dark brown. It blended out on my hand pretty light though, so I proceeded to apply it like a bronzing primer...on my nose, out to the apples of my cheeks, under my eyes, and on my forehead. I used a colorless primer in the other areas and let the two dry. I used my Chanel Lift Lumiere foundation, and as it dried I noticed a "glow" that wasn't there previously. I'd been having problems with that foundation making my face look somewhat dull, especially around my eye area, but this time it looked radiant and glowy...hmmmmmm I thought...maybe because I exfoliated earlier that night? I applied the rest of my makeup, then my son got up sick so I had to dash to the local 24-hour Walmart. While there (under the horrible savage fluorescent lights even) I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror and was stunned at how soft and radiant my foundation still looked. I love Chanel foundations, but the LL ALWAYS seemed to go flat on me after a bit no matter what I wore over/under it. This particular night, that did not happen. Th days and weeks following I tweaked and played and obsessed trying to get my LL to look that good again and then I remembered using the Perfekt. I got it out, used it agin, and boom! Glowy, healthy looking face with no dull foundation. I was so shocked!! Needless to say, I begrudgingly moved my Perfekt to permanent status in my makeup bag and the rest is history. Again, note, I do not use this on my entire face! I use Korres anti-aging primer with this product. Ok now that I'm done blabbing, my actual review:
PROS:
-I am VERY fair, and the Perfekt gel in the shade "Radiant" is an excellent under foundation bronzing primer for me.
-does add a softness to skin and allows foundation to glide on easily.
-comes in a "to go" size and a full size product. (The To-go size has lasted me forever and is much cheaper).
-comes in tinted and colorless versions
-blends very well, kept my foundation fresh and glowy for a good 8 hours.
-a little goes a long wayyyyyyy
-feels light on the skin...not masky at all
CONS
-full size bottle is a bit pricey considering there are higher end, better performing products available for less.
-did nothing to minimize look of pores or fine lines.
-is silicone based (which could actually be a pro, depending on whether silicone primers are your thing....they just don't seem to suit my skin when used on my entire face)
-I could see this product possibly becoming an oil slick on someone with oily skin.
Will I repurchase?...still deciding. I may try some other bronzing primers before I make up my mind.

This is a weird product. It provides zero coverage on face but has a silky and matte texture which I love on my skin. I think this could be a great choice if you have skin that has almost no imperfections and you're not looking for any coverage. If you need a foundation to hide blemishes, redness etc, skip this.

I received this foundation(?) in a sample pack from Sephora and I was very unimpressed. I was really excited to try this out since I have recently just went paraben free and dumped most of my makeup and have been using mineral powder. I like the minerals but I crave that moist dewy look you can get from a great liquid foundation. This was not a liquid but more of a cream which needed to be patted on to the face not spread with fingers or used with a sponge which I found made it difficult to get the products everywhere evenly. There was absolutely no coverage with this. I ended up needing to put my mineral foundation on top of this. I did have a slight glow on my natural highlight points (top of brows and cheek bones), but it felt really greasy not dewy. I suppose this product could work for someone with perfect skin who has no imperfections to cover just pores to even out. I unfortunately am not one of those women :(

This just unfortunately does not work on me at all. I like bronzing products specially in winter because my face gets pale again very easily while my limbs and body don't. I tried using it as a foundation or a primer, but they did not went well. The greasy feeling is just horrible despite the fact I am ok with silicon face products. It feels oily and it doesn't do anything for my skin. It has no coverage and it does not even provide a slight tint of colour. So, no, I do not like it at all.

Alright so my skin is pretty greasy and acne prone. I've tried so many different types of powders and foundations over the years and I've almost all the time broken out from them.
One day while roaming around I found this product, I had a heartattack though once I saw the price tag and had to test it first. So one of the ladies at the counter applied it to my skin and I fell in love.
My color is Luminous since I am quite fair skinned and it matches perfectly. Since my skin is oily though I need to use a primer with it or it just slips and slides. So oily skinned girls I would recommend a primer if you decide to use this foundation. Also ever since using this product my acne hasn't acted up at all. It is so light and it doesn't clog my pores like all those other foundations.
A little goes along way and I usually put it where I need the most coverage and spread the excess on the rest of my face. I've already gone through around three tubes of it. Everytime I wear it, I always get complements about how my skin looks. I'm still in love enough to keep dishing out the money for sure.

When Smashbox discontinued their Photofinish bronze primer that I used for foundation I was forced to look elsewhere for a simular product. So I purchased this foundation in the hopes of getting something close to that. I got the color Radiance and I have to say it is fantastic. A little goes a long way. I use a little concealer over it for imperfections and some mineral powder to set (although I may be able to skip that step, but haven't tired that yet.)
Where I live it reaches 110 degrees most of the summer. I usually have to reapply other foundations mid-afternoon if I sweat or even take a nap. This product not only gives you the most amazing finish, is undectable and true to color, makes you look healthy and fresh, but it also lasts the entire day without a touchup. I did yard work, took a nap, and sweated in the heat of the day and it lasted until the following morning when I fell asleep without washing it off. No pimples either. This is the only foundatin that actually looks better and better as the day goes on.
I just can't say enough good things about this. I purchased another one in Rich which has a tan color. I will mix the two and see what that looks like. Don't rub onto face like traditional foundations. This one you warm on your fingers and pat and lightly smooth. Most foundations actually make you look greasy or mask like no matter how little you use or how well you blend. It always feels like a layer of product is always sitting on your face. This product just disappers and feels like nothing. Like skin. It feels touchable and soft. I will not be using anything else. I'm sold. I don't mind the price because it is a multitasker with primer, foundation, powder, and concealer all in one plus I only have to use it once a day instead of twice which will more than pay for itself in the long run. If you haven't tried it yet you are missing out. Best of the Best and this is forty-six years of failed foundation attempts talking here. Now I'm grateful Smashbox discontinued their primer or I would have never tried this. HG

It's important to know that this really isn't a foundation- it's more of a tinted primer, so if you are looking for full coverage, this is definitely not it. I have oily skin and can't wear tinted moisturizers because they clog my pores or make me shiny, but this is great for days when I want to even out my skin a bit without dealing with full-coverage foundation. The texture is fantastic (smooth and silky) and softens imperfections and evens the tone of my face while controlling shine. With a little concealer for acne and powder, this is an easy, natural look for me. I'm pale and wear radiant to give myself a little more color without needing bronzer, it is very sheer.

Relatively expensive, but worth it if you have mature dry skin. I use it daily--three pumps of product on my finger tips, rub together to get it creamy, pat and smooth for a soft-focus finish that stays put. No retouch needed all day. Now on my third bottle (lasts me about 3 months), but gave it four stars for the price and the opaque packaging--you can only tell when you reach the end of the bottle because the little nozzle pops off.

I paid a whole lot of money and spent LOTS of time finding this product cause the sephora closest to me were sold out of my shade.. I bought it in the 2nd shade cause like everyone said the 3rd shade is dark, especially for me since I am fair-medium

My skin: OILY/ Acne-prone/ large pores/ small pits/ some acne scarring.
SKIN tone: nc30

*THE PRO'S-
1) Softened (NOT diminished, yes theres a diff) my pores
2) Gave a smooth matte finish

*THE CONS-
1) I have not had a zit in 2 months and when I used this 3 days in a row, literally 3 LARGE zits appeared over night, and took 2 weeks to diminish!!!!
2) DOES NOT cover a damn thing, i can't believe it's categorized as a foundation.
this works as a primer but still with foundation over, it' ends up being real heavy on my skin, and feels as if I am wearing 3 layers of foundation.
3) IT'S SO damn expensive
4) I even did some research cause I know the reviews were high, I went on youtube and watched the how to vid posted by the owner/creator himself of Perfekt and applied 3 layers, patting it on like he said, AND STILL. NO COVERAGE whatsoever!!!

I returned this right after it made me break out.
this is definitely a product I can say that does not get long with my skin.

I have Combination to Oily Skin. It seems to work great and is nice for going out at night but after using it for a couple of days I broke out very badly. I would not recommend this to anyone who has acne issues. It also does seems to become a bit "cakey" looking. I stopped using it then decided to try it again and every time I do this my face breaks out. Wish it worked better for my skin!

i got a sample of this from sephora in Radiant. It's too dark for me and on the yellow side, however it doesnt have much pigmentation so that may not be a problem for others. has an odd thick watery texture, leave too much of a shine on my face. cant say anything about the wear cause i took it off after it dried.

Age: 19-24   Skin: Dry, Fair-Medium   Hair: Brunette, Curly, Medium   Eyes: Brown

I got a sample of this in my last Sephora order in "Radiance," which is MUCH too dark for me, which is a good thing for the purpose of this review. Here are the first things I notice on my test run:

The texture of this is incredible. They should make EVERYTHING with this texture. It feels almost like a gel that's been turned into a mousse. It's silky smooth and feels ultra hydrating. Glides on like buttah - almost suspiciously so. Because this color was so dark, I was able to see exactly where I was smoothing it on and patting it in [the directions state clearly to pat, do not rub]. However, as all the reviews below have stated, it is SUCH a sheer coverage "foundation" (and I use the word lightly here) that even this ultra dark color seemed to "blend" into my skin effortlessly. Of course, I noticed when I stepped back that my face is a different color from my neck and chest now, so it's not as if the coverage is non-existent. But wearing a scarf, I can pass. Now, the color-matching properties of this, I am calling out as complete BS. This doesn't alter itself to match the color of your skin. It is simply so sheer that it will blend in easily no matter what. And that isn't particularly useful unless your skin is almost perfect.

HOWEVER, that being said, I did use up the entire sample in one go, and it surprisingly did a decent job at evening out my skin tone and covering up my red acne scars. It did not cover up my blemishes, and the scar area is still visible, but for everyday use, this did well. It is about as tinted as a light tinted moisturizer, and that is WITH layering over problem areas. I should note that this probably covered so 'well' at all due to being a darker color than my skintone and therefore helping disguise it; I doubt that "Luminous" [the next color down] would have had that kind of pigmentation/power. I don't look perfect by any means, so if you already have great skin [as every other reviewer has stated] this will look great on you.

Surprisingly, the finish on this is matte. Not powdery cryptkeeper matte, a nice, almost natural matte, but matte nonetheless. I don't like matte normally, but I don't mind this. I imagine it would look good in photos. However [there's that caveat again], despite the amazing texture of this [I could sit here and pat it on all day ... or touch my face all day], it sets quickly. If you try to pat or rub or touch your face after you have put it on, it will ball up and look powdery/flaky on your face. Yuck! And I do NOT like setting with powder [I have dry skin and have no desire to look drier/powderier] - that is why they state, presumably, do not rub. Without setting, I don't imagine it would last all day, simply because it will ball up and rub off.

Is it worth the insane price tag? Heck. No. For that price, a product better DELIVER on pigmentation and longevity. I pay less [slightly, lol] for MUFE HD [for color reference, I am 120), and if I had the amount of MUFE HD that I just used of Perfekt on my face, it would last me at LEAST 3-4 uses of FULL coverage. My skin feels amazing to the touch, but the lightest touch leaves it balling up madly. Not worth it at all.

But I still haven't gotten over that texture. Heavenly.

Great stuff, use it every day. It evens out redness nicely without looking like you're wearing foundation. My only qualm is that the pump gets a lot of air bubbles, which is not a good reason to pass it up. ;) It's expensive, but one good pump will cover your entire face.

Got a sample from Sephora, it's basically just a tinted primer. It did reduce the look of pores quite nicely, but I wouldn't depend on this alone if you need more than light coverage. I did build it up around the redness on my cheeks, and it didn't look cakey after 5 layers, but even 5 layers didn't even cover my redness. if you're looking for very light coverage and nice, smooth canvas, give this one a go.

I got a sample of this with a Sephora order and it got me hooked. I use a very small amount of Radiant over my usual sunscreen, and sometimes powder over that if I need more oil control. At first I thought *meh, just another tinted silicone primer product, nothing special here* Then on 2 different days I got complimented on my skin when wearing this. AND unlike a lot of other products that make my skin look good IRL (other silicone mattifiers, Meteorites) this looks good in flash photographs!

I don't know why this is listed as foundation because it isn't. There is no coverage. But if you like using Meteorites powder, give this a try....same subtle effect on the skin, but good in photographs!

Also....I think that the Radiant color is a better formulation than the others. It looks like it might be too dark when it comes out of the tube, but when applied (sparingly) it is a great match.

This products only works well on people who already have pretty good skin.
Its good a weird consistency but when on the skin feels quite nice has does even out the skin tone and make it look more luminous
If you have oily skin i'd say stay away because it can make you look like a grease ball after a few hours.
