I really do not care for this lipstick. First of all, I think that this is kind of a boring old-ladyish pink. It doesn't look like a color that I would call "extreme" pink. And on me it looks too frosty with too much white in it. Really does nothing for my fair skin. I generally look better in deeper or brighter plum and berry shades. I also do not like the feel of this lipstick. I like a lipstick with a creamier texture and this one goes on too dry. I would have expected more from a lipstick that calls itself high impact.

I didn't really like this color too much. To me it looks a little cheap and not so flattering for my complexion. I will have to mix this lipstick with other glosses and colors to make it look more decent.
The quality of the lipstick is good though.
P.S. See the photo of the liptick on itself and with gloss above.

Medium rosy pink with lilac metallic sheen. Moisturizing and long lasting. I don't like it applied heavily straight from the tube - the metallic sheen doesn't look flattering on me but dabbed as a stain with some clear gloss looks springy, girly and pretty. A good one but nothing exciting. I'll use it up gladly but probably won't repurchase.

Extreme Pink is from the High Impact line (instead of Color Surge).
During summer, I wore this outside with my gardening hat so that my lips wouldn't get sunburned. To get the SPF benefit, I put it on thick and it was very festive bright pink with metallic shine! Think 1980's neon era....Gloria Estefan, George Michael from Wham. Or later, Joey from Friends doing the Ichiban, Lipstick for Man ad.
Because of the wild colour and metallic shine, I was only going to use this as my gardening SPF lip product. But I am enjoying it as a lip stain during the winter. When NOT needing the SPF effect from this, and not wanting to draw attention to self, I just put on a thin layer to slightly colour the lips. No metallic shine that way. If the winter air is dry, I add some clear gloss overtop.

One of my favourite lipsticks from Clinique! I recieved this as part of Bonus Time, and I would definately repurchase a full sized tube. The colour is a really pretty, medium bold pink with a little shimmer. I like the fact that it's not too drying, and it also has great staying power, atleast 4 hours ime. You can use this for everyday use when just dabbing it on your lips or with a brush for sheer pink colour or for evenings, you can layer it a little, which looks gorgeous! Looks great against my NC15, fair skin.

Can be a little overwhelming, I admit.
But on my pigmented lips, it looks wonderful!
I just dab lightly on my lips with my finger/a lip brush , and it's the perfect MLBB ! With a little gloss on top it's sooo beautiful .
The key is to apply just a little bit.
For reference-I'm nw15-20, bluer eyes and light brown-dirty-blond hair.

It's one of my most used lippies for a few reasons:
- Love the colour. It's a darkish pink with quite finely milled glitter. It also doesn't look too dark on my naturally pink lips.
- It lasts all day
- Not drying if you put a layer of lip balm on underneath
-I've been using it for over a year and there's still product left!
I generally use this lipstick as more of a stain (using my fingers to dab the colour on) to disperse the pigment a little more. I'm kinda surprised at the relatively low ratings for this lipstick - i love it!

I got this as part of a Bonus Time gift, so can't comment on the price. The color in the tube is a deep pink with a slight metallic shimmer. Unfortunately this is too dark for my skintone (also very attention-grabbing!) and also dries out my lips a little. I ended up melting this down and mixing with a melted lipbalm so it mutes the color and also stops my lips getting dry. I do this on occasion with lipsticks that are too bright or dark. I wouldn't buy this even though the color is gorgeous and would work for the right person.

First up, this shade is from the High Impact lipstick range, not Color Surge! I got mine as a GWP so it is in the ubiquitous soft green plastic barrel, not the (classier) silver metallic packaging. The packaging is good quality, despite it being less pretty. Now on to the review.
This is an awesome shade. I'm NC20 with fairly pigmented lips and this is NOT bright clown-like fuchsia on me. Honestly, after I put it on, I thought, "Extreme Pink? This is not Extreme at all!" lol This is more like a medium rose shade (for me, a bit darker than MLBB) with a stunning metallic sheen. The sheen is an amazing lilac colour but it is subtle, not in your face. I've worn similar lipsticks where the metallic sheen is too much but Clinique really nailed it with this one. They got the balance perfect. Yes, this is a statement lip colour, and I do see how it might be too much for those with less pigmented lips than I... But I just love this and find it rather easy to wear. I am grateful to have received such a gorgeous shade in a GWP!
A couple of final notes: this lipstick has a satin finish (neither matte nor dewy) and is full coverage in pretty much one swipe. I'm pretty sure this is fragrance free, and contains SPF15. Extreme Pink is a fantastic lipstick, and definitely rivals some of my more expensive ones. Go try it out!

This is my HG lipstick! Its pigmentation is great and i would describe it as a fuchsia colour on my lips. Its bright and has a metallic finish. It drys on my lip instead of having this melting feeling like other lipsticks. I wore this for 6 hours and it still stayed on except after eating of course. I took pictures with this lipstick on and it goes well with my skin tone. I would say this colour looks good on tanned skin tones but I'm in between being tanned and light and this really brightens up my complexion.
Price: got it as a gwp i don't know if clinique still sells this lipstick since i didn't see it on the website

This may very well be the first lipstick I buy a back-up of, ever! This is a beautiful purple-pink with a sheen that can be sheered out by applying it lightly and smoothing it with your fingers. It's creamy, opaque, and bright, but I disagree with comments that call it "unsophisticated"; unless you're caking your entire face, this is a bold but beautiful color! It didn't dry my lips out at all, but it did need reapplied after about 5-6 hours of continuous wear to retain that bold coverage. Overall, a lovely lipstick that is totally worth the price!
Just a few quick notes: this is definitely a cool-toned lipstick (hence the "Cool Surge" in the title!), so I would recommend avoiding it if cool tones wash you out. Also, my current tube is in the matte green GWP tube, which I actually prefer to Clinique's shiny silver tubes. I haven't had any problems with the tubes opening up in my bag.

Very cool toned fuschia lipstick. Let me throw this out there from the beginning.... 1-5 for color (on ME!) is a 1...it looked horrid and I should have assumed it would...its just too cool toned for my warm toned skin. But, the color itself is lovely. The product over all, though, I gave a 4 because the quality of it is good. It goes on smooth, doesn't tug like it is pure wax, doesn't seem to dry my lips out, lasts a decent amount of time, doesn't bleed all over, and is very well pigmented. I don't care for the tube... I know you automatically know its clinique when you see it, but I'm just not a fan. I just think it looks and even feels cheap. I won't repurchase this one in particular, but I wouldn't hesitate to try other colors in the same formulation.

I have the gwp version. I didn't find this to be a bright pink, it's more a metallic dark pink/fuchsia, but not bright. It's cool toned and tends to violet. I kind of think of it as a 90s Fashion Fair type colour. It's flattering on me (GGG) but this isn't the type of colour I'd wear everyday. I prefer other Clinique formulas, I found this lipstick drying even though I wore it over lipbalm.

I'm a PPP nw15. If I aply it with a light hand and add some clear-ish sparkly gloss this looks divine!. It's not bright fuschia IMO. yes, it's a bright/deep pink shade....it's equivilent to MAC pink pearl pigment in terms of shades of pink. I use rimmel clear gloss and mix with pink pearl pigment and apply to my lips...it's very close to this color of Clinique lipstick. HTH!

This is definitely extreme pink. It's a shimmery metallic fuschia/bright pink. This is not for the faint of heart! It really reflects a lot of what was on the runways this spring. It isn't something i'd wear every day. But it's fun and loud and looks great with an otherwise clean face (so you don't look too made up). It's a fun bright pop and the texture is great it doesn't bleed and it's extremely comfortable. If i apply it over with my finger or over a gloss it goes on very sheer and looks quite subtle. I don't think i'll be running out of this any time soon as i won't be wearing it often but it's really great.

I have no idea why this product is getting such bad comments! It doesn't look fuschia on me at all..In fact it's rather close to my lip color if I don't glop it on...I RIS'ed this in a gwp form as an extra from a lovely MUAer, and it goes on rather nicely despite looking kinda scary in the tube. It's a neutral-cool pink, with no brown/orange undertones, and I use it by patting it on gently over lip balm, kind of like how you'd use a stain. I wore it out today and none of my friends noticed that I was even wearing anything on my lips...so I guess for me this must be the perfect MLBB pink! I'd buy again, it's such a lovely color. I don't know if I'd wear this when I'm 40 though, but I can see myself with this when I'm 28 :D forget about pixel pink, this is MY pixel pink as far as I'm concerned :)

First off, this is a hot pink. If you don't like bright colours, don't buy this shade! I think it's just silly to give a bad rating when you choose a colour that doesn't suit your tastes. For me, this is a great lippie. It's what I wanted Mac's Rocking Chick (from Barbie collection) to be. I found Rocking Chick to be too blue-based and too shimmery, so you end up looking honestly like the plastic doll. Not cool for a 37 year old professional. Clinique's Extreme Pink, on the other hand, is not too blue, yet doesn't have any tinge of brown which turns neutral on my pigmented lips. The effect is a vibrant medium pink that's not too shocking nor blah. I have many so-called "pink" lippies which just become rose or mauve on my lips. This one truly brightens my look (NC25) and the formula is great - creamy but not too thick and very comfortable to wear.

This is my all time favorite Clinique lipstick and it never seems to be in stock, so others must like it too. I am a medium skin tone brunette and I am definitely over 21, but I think it works out fine with my coloring and clothing, which is not extreme in any way! I love this color.

this lipstick is not that bad..you can layer it with light pink gloss to tone it down. It's very moisturizing and it stay on for a long time. Im a nc 25 light golden complexion and this color works for me.

Like other reviewers said, this is really pink/fuscia. I don't think it would work on too many people--it is, like it's name, "Extreme". Definately a color for someone under 21 because of the unsophisticated "pinkness" of it. This is going into my Halloween makeup bag--it'll probably find some sort of use there.
