Today is a lazy day, I'm just home relaxing and doing one of my favorite things, going through my mu, experimenting and sorting out what I use and don't use and reviewing products I haven't reviewed. I came across this and can't believe I haven't reviewed it! This is my go-to HG hair product that I have used for years. I have very fine hair and adding just a dab of this to the ends transforms my hair from drab to fab in seconds and it only requires a tiny amount. I also rub a little though my hair and it adds a gorgeous, lustrous shine that looks pretty and radiant. Believe me, I need all the help I can get in the hair department because my hair is so fine and this truly adds a glow that makes my hair look full and healthy. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you have fine hair like me. And another plus is that it lasts forever!

I bought mini travel-sized jars of several of the Pureology styling products, so that I could give them a try and decide if I wanted any of them in full size.
It is really astounding how little of this product you need to style your hair each time. I thought I was just going to "sample" and soon I'd finish off the mini jars, and choose my favorite. Actually, there's enough in the tiny jars to use lots and lots of times.
DryShine HairStyler is a product where usually less is more. It *can* weight my hair down a bit if I apply too much too near the roots of my hair. Usually after drying my hair, I pick up a little of this product on my fingers, and work it lightly through the ends of my hair. Then I run my fingers though all of my hair, just spreading it around.
This product definitely gives shine. Unlike some shine products, I believe this gives shine in more than one way - it doesn't just make your hair look bright, and smooth/shiny, reflecting more light, it also has a bit of gold shimmer in it (if you want to see how much shimmer, just try rubbing a little into the back of your hand). The shimmer is subtle, it doesn't make it look like you've got glitter in your hair, it just illuminates.
DryShine gives a little bit of hold. I typically don't want more than just a little bit of hold, so I can't really comment on whether it's got "enough" hold to really keep a style in place.
After I've put DryShine on my hair, I pull out some pieces, and twist them up to give a little bit of curl and texture. DryShine works great for this.
However, I have found that I think I actually like TextureTwist better than DryShine. It doesn't have the problem of occasionally using just a little too much, leaving my hair looking greasy.
My favorite somewhat unconventional use for this product is a little odd, but I'll share it anyhow -- I like to use DryShine on my eyebrows. It helps hold them in place, but it doesn't leave them feeling crunchy or just unnatural like brow gels can. "Enhanced colour brilliance" is an accurate description, it's a nice effect. It's not "wow, you have glitter in your eyebrows", it's more like "your eyebrows look so silky and soft, and perfectly held in place, what's your secret"?

i bought this today at Target, because the outer jar was broken, and it was marked $5.74!! i liked the description of dry + shine, and since i have fine, layered, colored hair, thought i'd give it a try...will update later.

i am reviewing the pureology nanoworks ShineLuxe. its similar to dry shine but lighter & smells better.
this is my HG pureology product. it smells divine and it doesnt weigh down my fine shoulder-length hair. it defines my layers and gives amazing shine. less than a pea-sized amount is needed for my hair, let it melt all over my palms and apply where you want shine. you can even apply some in the crown (with a lighter hand) and it wont flatten it. one jar should last 6-8 mos since you only need a tiny amount so i think that balances the price.
did i mention how DIVINE it smells? :)

They don't sell this product in a lot of salons like they used to, however I fell in love after first usage. I've always looked for a light pomade that doesn't grease up my face and scalp. It added just the right sheen to my hair after ironing, and made my split ends look better. I had the silkiest, shiniest, straight hair and people would walk up and just touch it.
The cost is high, however I did notice that it has taken over a year to use the thimbleful that they give you in a .25 ouncer. So ultimately, it was very worth it to me.

This stuff smells SO good and there is actually gold shimmer in it... this is the only styling paste I can think of that actually has shimmer in it and makes your hair shiny. I actually got a little impulsive one day and bought it when my stylist used it on me. It makes my hair shiny and yet still separated and "piecey"! However, I found out my hair "eats" this and the effect is lost within a couple of hours and it looks like I didn't even put any on at all, although it leaves my hair more moisterized and not weighed down. I have since found out that this vanishing effect is because one of the ingredients is one that evaporates. Oh well. The other ingredients include several types of oils, 2 silicones (further down in the ingredients), some proteins, and of course the divine scent (sort of like jasmine??). Even though it doesn't make a very long lasting styling paste I still use this product all the time because I've been noticing it has helped keep my hair moisterized and prevent my ends from getting too dried out from styling. i use this on my hair all the time now. I use it on my hair after it has air dried to get a little shine and moisture, and I use it on my ends before or after flat ironing to avoid that dry ends look. The label says it also serves a dual purpose of heat protection so that's why I put it on my ends for extra protection in addition to the serum I use. I love this product, it's like a does-it-all hair miracle goop for us gals with dry hair.

This stuff is great. I use it every day. It isn't greasy or sticky. I love the way it separates and gives definition to my layers. It lasts forever, I have had my jar now for almost a year. The only reason I didn't give it 5 is because it doesn't have a great amount of hold and I still have to use hair spray at times. I really don't notice any shine that the product adds, but I use Shinemax and that. I really recommend this product.

Exellent product which I have been using as a styling aid for the past few years now. I use Bumble and Bumble's Curl Conscious line and when my hair is dry, I will take a small amount of the Dry and Shine and rub in some of Bumble and Bumble's Defrizz, and scrunch througout my hair and my wavy/curly hair takes on more definition. Remember only a small amount or your hair can look greasy, but a tiny amount is only needed and enough for my long thick hair. This is my Holy Grail finishing product. (there are other products which give me more hold, but I find when I need something extremely light, Dry Shine works the best.)

LOVE IT! I wouldn't do without this wonderful product! It makes my hair so shiny! I work it in by pulling it through chuks of my hair when I wear it straight, for a fun choppy look. I love that it is all natural. It's a little spendy, but will last forever!

this stuff is awesome for maybe shorter hair or hair with a lot of layers. it leaves your hair sooo shiny and it's not too gunky. it smells nice, is great to work with - and a little goes a long way, so don't let the pricetag scare you!

Wow, I love this stuff! My hairdresser used this on me and I was completely impressed. I have thin, wavy hair that I straighten almost every day - and this separates, gives me texture and tames the frizzes! A little bit goes a long way, I use this on my dry hair as the last step. It adds volume and it's just awesome :) It comes in a little tub and feels really tacky, but I rub it between my palms and just smooth it over. Works really well, would buy this product again. The downside is that it's expensive (I bought mine for $20) :( But it's worth it!

I finally (afer trying many, many different things) found a great product to fight the frizzies. I have long, fine, highlighted hair that is somewhat damaged from the coloring. This product is just what I need on those days when my hair just won't stay smooth. It also makes it shiny and silky, but does not weigh it down. Other products usually leave my hair dull and flat if I don't wash it on day two, but not this product. I can apply it again with no problems. I LOVE it!!!

This is a pomade like product that is for use on dry hair. My hair is super fine and weighs down like no tomorrow. This product does not weigh it down and keeps frizzies at bay. It did not work on damp hair at all for me, and then I was reminded that's why it's called "dry" shine. Very nice, very expensive, but very worth it for this one.

This is absolutely the best line I have ever tried in my life, and I have tried all of the salon brands and drugstore brands. Every one of these products is very concentrated, smells good and work well. You only need a tiny bit, about a nickel size of the shampoo. (Shampoo twice for best results.) For the conditioner, I only use about the size of a quarter. These shampoos and conditioners will feel totally different than the regular shampoos and conditioners. The shampoos don’t have any sulfates in them, so they don’t foam up like laundry detergent, because that is all sulfates are. The conditioners are not also loaded with silicones, so they don’t feel as slippery, which is great because then the silicones don’t build up in your hair. The products smell very natural. Some of the products take some getting use to, but it is well worth the results. I have tried the volume shampoo and conditioner, the hydrating shampoo and conditioner, reconstructor, colormax leave-in conditioner, shinemax and shine & control. I can’t say which product I like the best because I love them all. Also, with this line, you can mix and match the shampoos and conditioners, and they will still work wonderfully together. I will continue to buy this, as it is like having the best line ever made for your hair. Lastly, don’t be scared by the price. Since everything is so concentrated, it lasts a really, really, really long time. Remember…you only need a TINY bit of it! Happy shopping :)

I think this is one of Pureology' best kept secrets! It is an awesome product. It eliminates the frizzies and gives my fine hair more texture -- it just feels like I have more hair! I run a little bit of it through my damp hair especially on the ends. Later after it is air dried, I'll swipe a little more through -- never weighs my hair down!

This product is amazing for my dry and coarse hair. It tames the frizz and defines my waves & curls. It is alcohol-free which doesn't dry out my hair. It's non-sticky and non-greasy and doesn't leave flaky residue. This product leaves my hair soft and smelling great. It's all natural and completely vegan but it's a strong pomade. I use it with my aveda humectant and be curly- but i'm a style product mixer. It is just as good on its own.

I love love love this product. It is probably the lightest and yet driest pomade I have ever tried. Feels like dry paste when you touch it but creates amazing separation and tons of texture with no weight nor drying out of the hair itself. There is also a very nice gold shimmer throughout the product that highlights the hair nicely and adds a subtle sheen.
