I received a $10 mini of Supernova and Firebird at Sephora -- I loved both of them, more so Supernova, but man, I would not spend more than $10 on either. Regular tubes are about $25 and with all the less expensive mascaras out there, in addition to how long they usually last (only a few months) I cannot at all justify spending that much on it. Plus, as awesome as the forumla itself is, the tubes started falling apart by the end - not so great packaging quality.

I have very thin, short, straight Asian lashes and this mascara gives you long, soft, lush lashes without clumping, and is great for your lower lashes as well. I find it super easy to apply. However, it straightens my curled lashes, and also smudges something awful. Not very nice considering its sky-high price! I have found that layering a waterproof mascara over this one helps the smudging issue, however I probably won't be buying this again--for $25 I expect smudge-free.

This mascara lengthens and adds lush, soft volume. So does Maybelline Full and Soft. I guess I could justify buying this expensive mascara if I got shamed into it by a SA (true story), but these days I prefer drug store mascaras as they all dry out way too fast anyway and plus, I'm Asian with flat lids, and I'm over looking like there's a barcode connecting my eyebrows to my eyeline.

I absolutely hate that this product is so expensive! This is probably my HG mascara and am hesitant to stick to anything else because whenever I do; it can never compete with this Supernova. It doesn't bother my contacts, thus my eyes and doesn't make them burn or itch which a lot of mascaras (both high end and low end) do. The brush is the perfect size and the bristles don't feel stiff or like I'm tugging at my eye lashes to get product on. It's very gentle yet packs a punch. It's very black, thickening, and lengthening. This works very well for me! And it is semi too wet when you first receive it but then it dries out and it works wonderful. I can go for about 6 months of use with this because of how great it works both wet and a little dried out. I'm a very frugal person so I find it hard to justify spending $25 (US) on just mascara, but when I try other alternatives, drugstore and even lower high-end (i.e Clinique), they really just don't compare and I end up going back to this. I cannot wait to order this again once the unfortunate mascara I'm using currently is gone. I LOVE this mascara!

This is my absolute Holy Grail mascara! But it's excessively expensive, which is my only complaint about this product. The packaging is super cute, and the wand is comfortable and a good size for really getting the product to the base of the lashes and through to the tips. I find the formula to dry out pretty quickly but if you add a few drops of saline eye drops to it and mix it up you can get another few months out of it, which is great considering the price (approx 28$ CAD). The formula doesn't clump, and it separates and gives my lashes some extra volume and length, and makes them look super black which I love, and doesn't flake. I wish I could find a good drug store dupe, but I haven't so I guess I'll just have to keep repurchasing and searching. Absolutely LOVE this mascara.

As blondeslovetoshop said the formula of this mascara is thick and goopy. It can be tricky to apply which makes application a bit of a hassle especially when I'm running short on time in the morning. The last thing I need is smeared mascara from the get go. Speaking of smeared mascara that is the biggest downfall to it. I notice that midday I have the beginnings of raccoon eyes. I have to admit when patiently applied this gives me well defined lashes with that extra volume I love.
I also used a sample included in one of the Fresh gift sets over the holidays. Some reviews mention that it is not the same as the full size version of it. Since I did pay for the gift set the fact that it did not work up to my expectations leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth enough where I won't try and prove whether the full size is any better than the deluxe sample.
Bottom line I won't be repurchasing in spite of the cute mascara tube.

This was Amazing when I tried it!!! Gave me such full soft feathery black lashes. It is too expensive IMO though so I won't be repurchasing. I actually bought the mini one at sephora but it wasnt the same I think the full size works much better.

Okay so I tried the mini version of this because the tube it came in was absolutely adorable. I loved the design on it haha, but anyways, I found this mascara to be alright. I mean it did give length and a bit of thickness, but I felt it would be better for an everyday look. Not something you would want to wear on a night out. Even though they claim it'll give a "diva look."
I do like that it's alcohol free, and it's supposed to condition lashes because it has some type of oil in it. They have more info about it on the Sephora website.
Overall, it's a good mascara but I think my drugstore mascaras can do the same. But, my lashes are naturally curled so I was looking for something more intense.
I would suggest you to TRY IT out first though, because it'll probably look good on others without a natural curl to their lashes.

I am currently in love with this mascara. It is not perfect, but have yet to find one that is. If I could give it a 4.5 I would. My only complaint is that it straightens my lashes a bit. I must compensate by curling them for an extra second or two. This mascara goes on beautifully, does not flake, and lasts a long time. It is everything I thought YSL would be but just isn't. Sometimes I like to use the brush straight from the container. Sometimes I wipe off the excess before application. Either way, I like the way it goes on and wears throughout the day. In addition, this mascara is very conditioning. That has been an unexpected benefit. I will purchase this again. I'm so over the drugstore mascaras that flake within 10 minutes of application.

I received a small size of this in a Fresh set that I purchased. This mascara seemed to go on okay. However the formula is so thick and goopy that application is quite tricky. Also, I have found that it smudges and leaves my lower lashline looking awful halfway through the day. I will definitely not be buying the full size.

I have decently long eyelashes, and this just takes them higher and higher. I love to apply this just by blinking my lashes through the wand, the color is PHENOMENAL. What a beautiful, rich, jet black formula. It comes off easily with a makeup removing wipe, I use Neutrogena wipes. Don't rub your eyes while wearing this, it will smudge on your lower rims, but I don't care, this mascara is worth every penny. It is my HG mascara. Also, I have straight lashes and I curl them, then apply, and it does a pretty good job of holding them up. The Armani Eyes to Kill is comparable to this but it is just not as wonderful as the Supernova. The color is much more intense, the formula is less irritating, it conditions your lashes, and comes off easily.
LOVE.

Pros:
Thick rich formula
No alchohol
Great brush and tube
Cons:
ridiculously expensive $25!
smudges horribly for the price (yes even on experienced mascara users)
I liked that my eyelids/lashes weren't itchy when wearing this (very sensitive to alcohol). And the amount applied to my lashes was nice, I didn't need a comb, but it smudges awful.
I have very oily eyelids.

I'm torn. I love and hate this stuff. Bought the mini duo two years ago. Left it in my makeup bag and found it a year later. It was amazing. Loved the brush, didn't smudge or flake, great volume and if I used enough, amazing length too. When I used it all up I saved the money to buy a full sized tube. It's beautiful. But this stuff.. There's so much on the brush. And it's so goopy I can barely do anything with it. I scrape the brush almost ten times before trying to apply. And then I'm not guaranteed to get the same results every time. It smears and smudges and runs so easily. I'm heartbroken. Maybe I'll leave it alone for a year and it'll be what I want. But it's so expensive.. And beautiful. It leaves my lashes feeling soft when it actually applys nice and leaves them a little earthier it seems. It's killing me. I really want to like this new out the tube. Such a waste of money. Wish fresh would fix it.

This product was awful! It smudged under my eyes within a few hours of application. Luckily I purchased this mini in a Sugar Rose Party Favors set, so it wasn't entirely a waste. Will never purchase again. I would have given this a "zero" if I could.

The brush was great and the pigment was a rich, sotty true black. I also liked that it didn't make my lashes feel crunchy however, I hate to say it but this stuff is terrible. I only applied a couple coats to the top lashes and mid day I had panda eyes. Luckily I purchased this in the mini set at Sephora for $10 along with Thunderbird. "High end" mascaras are never impressive to me, drugstore mascaras are just as good if not better for a fraction of the cost. Save your money!

I was hesitant to try Fresh mascaras because of the mixed reviews. So I bought the mini duo instead of the full sized ones to save some money in case they don't work for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised by them. I've used numerous mascaras, from Dior, Lancome, Guerlain, YSL, Armani to L'oreal, Maybelline, and Rimmel. Fresh Supernova is definitely one of the better ones. The Fresh mascaras strongly remind me of Dior, with their large brushes. They perform similarly to Diorshow as well (better than Dior Blackout and Iconic IMO). They separate my lashes really well, and gave absolutely no clumping after a couple coats. Fresh Supernova lengthened my lashes very well, but did not give much volume. Overall, it is a good mascara for everyday use, but I would not use it if I want really dramatic lashes. Although I like it, I'm not sure if I would repurchase due to its high price. It's not bad, but I can get something even better with the money. I would recommend it to others, but it's not my favourite. It's very good, but not perfect.

My first experience with Fresh's makeup line was the mini mascara duo, which explains why I've shunned the line as overpriced and poor quality ever since. Adorable packaging aside, the Fresh mascaras were two of the worst I've ever tried. Supernova was less offensive than its now-discontinued sister, Thunderbird, but that's not saying much. Supernova is a nice, rich black, but it clumps, runs, and generally doesn't look good on lashes. Save your money.

While this mascara has nice pigment and does separate and fan out my lashes beautifully, it flakes and doesn't last for me. I am having to clean up under my eyes several times per day and at the higher price, it makes a poor product compared to what's out there.

This is a great mascara, hands down. It does not run, stays on through crying at weddings and makes my lashes look extra long. The only downside is the price ($25) is a bit much, but worth it for the quality.
