I can't stop raving about shu uemura brow pencils. They just make brows look so pretty! Mainly the formula only applies when there's some "oil" on eyebrows. So you won't look overdone. And even if that was the case, there's a brush for evening them out!! Love! HG status

I have this in 'brown/brun' and against my light-med nc25/30 skintone and dark brown reddish hair it looks really good and natural! Like another reviewer pointed out this is quite a creamy pencil, and although this makes it look very natural on (the harder pencils can sometimes give you that 'drawn on look') it seems to rub off really easily. I have sparse, thin brows and cannot live without an eyebrow pencil- for them to look anywhere near decent/normal i must fill them in everyday- i will let people see me without makeup on but very rarely my brows!- the colour match is great just tends to rub off...i have to pencil in the 2nd half of my right brow from where i had an accident a few years ago and the hair has never grown back, and this always looks smudgy and blotchy by the end of the day- this would never happen with shiseido's pencil (but thats a harder formula)

I love this product! I have very spares eyebrows thanks to my overplucking in my teenage years. The color is a perfect match, the texture is wonderful and it is long lasting. My brows looked flawless for my wedding day!

HG!
After so many mistakes and scary pencils I've found Shu Uemura brow liner in Seal Brown.
I really need to shape my brows, because they are so thin and quite empty they give me a sad "poor thing" alien look, especially as I put quite heavy dark eyemakeup.
I've read many reviews from Asian people saying that this is perfect colour for them and it's quite funny, because I'm not Asian, I'm fair skinned, dark brown reddish hair and dark brown eyes and an ashy medium brown seemed the least suitable colour match for me. Actually it is the MOST suitable!
I've tried so many eyebrow pencils especially Rimmel, because they're cheap and easy to carry around, but basically all eyebrow liners in every brand are just 3 when they have them: black, brown (reddish), blond.
Sometimes weird dark grey I imagine only people with grey hair could use.
Due to my dark reddish brown hair colour I've always thought I had to match the shade, ending always with weird eyebrows and I wear my makeup at morning looking into my father's car narrow mirror! Roundabouts are the worst...
One day I was wandering in a department store with an eyebrow done with a MAC brown pencil and the other one done with a super hard Shu Uemura brown pencil. They all looked too brown and reddish and I had to admit that I'm not so good at drawing eyebrows.
The Shu Uemura SA looked at me and probably felt so pityful she decided to help me.
She pushed Seal Brown despite of my reddish hair and it looks much more natural!
She explained me how to make small traits and angle, which I rationally got but will take decades of practice to make it work.
It has a flat angled very hard brush in the back that helps making small lines instead of an only big one.
This is how Refillable Eyebrowliner in Seal Brown came to live in my beautycase and got honour place.
It's madly expensive (30 euro the whole thing) and has a little down: it doesn't last all day, but it works really well for me.

This eyebrow liner is refillable and also comes with an eyebrow brush on the other end, either for you to blend or to apply eyeshadow on to brows.I find the texture of the liner quite creamy and easy to apply, the shade is SEAL BROWN, a dark smoky grey in my opinion,it went rather well with my asian dark eyebrows, not too overly false looking like many eyebrow liners on the market, but the only downfall I dont like about it is the durability, because the texture is rather creamy, the color tends to fade during the day.Theres not alot in the retactable brow liner but I guess its cheaper once you buy the refill to go with it,but overall I rather like it.

Easy to use, easy to control, wonderful color (I have seal brown), and makes your brows look sooooo natural. I really like the blending brush on the other end of the liner and how you never have to sharpen the pencil! Highly, highly recommended!!!

This review is for the refillable pencil. I just bought this in Seal Brown and it is amazing! I wanted to buy the H9 hard formula pencil but they were all sold out so I opted for this one. I really still do want to try the hard pencil but this is great for now. It was quite expensive, $35 but the refills are $15 so I hope that this lasts. The color is perfect for my asian brows. It is light enough if I wanted a really natural look but it is also dark enough if I wanted a more defined angle look. It is not greasy at all so I know it will last all day. I've used so many eyebrow products you have no idea but I think this will be my HG. Before this I made do with Maybelline brow pencils and I had to use two different colors to get the right color for me. This is perfect!
EDIT: I had to change my review for this one because though it went on beautifully and I mean perfect, it didn't last long. My eyebrows were almost all gone by the end of the day. I did love it. If only it stayed. This is for the retractable version, not the hard pencil version which I still want to try. I had to return it after a week and a half:(

This in Seal Brown is great for my black yet very patchy brows, it is so much better than Chanel's Brow pencil (Blond Clair) which even though very light and ashy would turn a bit red after a while. I like that you don't have to sharpen it, more covenient and less wastage plus it is refillable. I'm really happy with this as I finally have brows that are defined yet natural looking.

This is a product I come back to once and again. (Read: HG status) I have this in "Seal Brown", and it works wonders! It's so natural-looking. The retractable pencil itself is very pretty - a heavy black with a silver "shu uemura" logo on it, and a brow brush on the other end. The liner will not work much on the back of your hand - this product is designed specifically for brows, and it will only work on the brows. This matches my eyebrows wonderfully. Overall, great product :)

I can't believe there hasn't been a previous review for Shu Uemura's other eye brow product - the retractable and refillable eyebrow liner. This is my holy grail eyebrow filler. I have tried countless others - everything from Guerlain to Versace to Mac to T LeClerc and I keep coming back to this eyebrow pencil because it's the best I've ever tried and is the easiest brow color to apply plus the most natural looking filled in eye brow color. As I have gotten older my eye brows have gotten sparse and don't extend as far as they used to. This is an initial expensive purchase of $35 but the eyebrow liner outside will last forever and the refills are a reasonable $15. I have been using my original eyebrow liner and the colored pencil that came in it for at least a year and I have yet to use it up. I already have a refill on hand because I do not want to ever run out of this eyebrow pencil. For anyone who has trouble making their filled in eyebrows look natural I highly recommend that you give this one a try.
