ugh, I'm updating my review and changing it to 2 stars.
the very first ingredient is Isopropyl Isostearate, which is super comedogenic (also know that the first ingredient is going to be the most dominant thing in the bottle). on a scale of 0-5, it rates a 5. I used this stuff for about 2 weeks and it did not break me out, but it can take months for my skin to react to something so I decided I didn't want to trust this anymore.
the scent: I just can't tolerate chemical perfumes, but I can if they are natural (like from essential oils or something). as for Nuxe, I did not like the fragrance very much, but thankfully it did not seem to give me a rash so I kept using it. after two weeks, I just could not get used to the smell. so if you hate fragrances as much as I do, this will probably be a non starter for you. and again, NOT a natural ingredient: if you look about 1/3 down in the ingredients list, it says "parfum/fragrance". so, it's a chemical perfume. no wonder I hated it.
finally, it did not moisturize that much for me. I felt like I had to go back and add more later after it soaked in.
oh, did I mention that the ingredients are not listed on their website? (I don't trust it when other retail sites list ingredients because sometimes they're wrong.) boo on the seller for not being more transparent about their ingredients. so that combined with the chemicals and the way-too-expensive price tag is why I'm giving this such a low rating.
I switched to a mix of grapeseed and sweet almond oil, and my skin feels soothed and moisturized but at a MUCH cheaper price and no smell!

I love this oil, smells delicious, leaves no oily residue and is great for all your dry skin needs.
I recommend you go for the 100ml bottle if you can because it comes in a spray bottle which is easier to apply and less messy.
One spray in my palm is enough to moisturise my face, neck and then I massage the residue into my hands and cuticles. A little really does go a long way. I apply the oil wait 0 seconds and then apply my moisturiser.
Best applied on a damp face to help absorption or you can spray a little in with your regular moisturiser and apply that way.
Love to use this on my skin, my nails have never looked better but I find it too oily for my hair.

Great product, smells great, great for hair and body. I don't recommend using it on your face, though.

I received a sample of this as I bought the moisturizing mask from Nuxe.
I was curious about this famous oil and really keen on trying this.
I know, there are many ways to use this as other reviewer mentioned, but I first tried it on my face. There were no bad reactions or irritations, but I didnīt like it either. This said, I must confess, Iīm not using that much face oils. I own only Weleda or Clarins and I use them for a 14 day face oil cure or when I feel, my skin could use oil. No need for me to have another face oil, as it is not part of my everyday skin care routine.
But - and thatīs the expensive part here- I looove this as a body oil. Sigh. Considering the price (25 Euros for 100 ml), this is a real luxury. I donīt use this every day as you can imagine or else, I would have to buy a new bottle every month.
Please use this oil on damp skin, because if you use it on dry skin, it doesnīt sink in and just stays on top.
I use it directly after the shower on my damp skin and I get the softest skin possible. My skin looks glowing and healthy. It looks like the skin of a model in these foto shoots for beauty articles in glossy magazines. You know, the kind of skin, that seems to glow from within and screams "perfect skin here". Luminous and supple, well moisturized and simply beautiful. And that look is hard to archieve with my somehow dull and sometimes scaly skin. I use this mainly in summertime, when I wear skirts and dresses to make my skin look good.
And on top of that, my skin smells so yummy, I could sniff my skin the whole day. Seriously, I think, the scent got me hooked too on this product. It smells very unique like sunwarmed skin with a hint of coconut, but not overpowering or sweet, just a warm scent, that reminds you of beach, sea salt and sun. I read the description "St. Tropez in a bottle" and that is so true. I didnīt think I could like such a sensual scent as I usually get headaches from most perfumes and only wear menīs perfumes, because womenīs perfumes are always too sweet.
I ordered the new perfume "Prodigieux le parfum" from Nuxe, which is exactly the fragrance from the oil. But I think, not everyone may like this scent as fragrances highly depent on the personal taste.
The combination of the feel and the smell of this oil makes it a luxurious experience to use this oil. It makes me feel glamourous whenever I use this.
I donīt use it for other purposes than making the skin on my body look good.
So, Iīd recommend this if you are into dry oils and like scented oils. This is expensive, especially for the way I use it, but the effect is worth it.

Bought the Huile Prodigieuse because of a great review I'd read on a blog I follow. Love the scent, love the dry feel - though it can get too oily for me if I use too much - and love the smoothness it's given my skin. Think I misinterpreted the blog review when she wrote that it reduced her redness. I have ruddy skin and was hoping this would calm that redness, it doesn't for me.
I only use it at night now (two spritzes), after cleansing with Dove soap and using my Clarisonic, as it wasn't quite emollient enough for winter days in the Midwest. Looking forward to Spring/Summer and using it for day again. Works well under my YSL Touche Eclat Foundation.
Seems to be good value for money, the bottle lasts quite a long time. I am two months in and have used less than a quarter of the 3.3 oz bottle.

I just smelt this in the store. Like the smell, doesn't react with my eczema skin after patch test. Not sure if I want to splurge on something just because it smells good and does nothing else.
I don't think it's moisturising enough.
Note: Review based on in store test and not purchased.

I got a small sample size of this with by Nuxe purchase and I was so pleasantly surprised it has the same divine smell as the hand cream. I also really like that it is not so oily and sticky you could imagine and it did great job when I applied it on my dry skin. I think I well definitely be also wearing this more in the summer as it is not too heavy and leaves a great sheen behind so perfect for summer legs and arms.

Its almost a sin to dont have it living in Paris or france generally. Everyone here loves it, magazines advert it and pharmacies have it on display. So of course I have it since forever.
First of all it smells amazing, very sumerry, beachy smell. Bottle is very simple, not the most practical. The bigger one have spritz which isnt really spritzing evenly.
It leaves shiny and beautiful smelling hair but I didnt notice any special moisturising or nourishing properties.
On body- it really is dry oil, it leaves this moisturising sheen but not super moisturising either. I love using it on legs while wearing dresses/skirts makes them look nice.
This version is much better from glitter one just because it doesnt have glitter which gores everywhere, especially in Louis Vuitton canvas and after two years I still have glittery bag... Very hard to remove.

I bought this on sale and I adore it for my hair. It is so smooth and lush and smells divine. I apply 3 or 4 drops to toweldried hair, mostly through the lengths, and blot with a towel afterwards. It doesn't seem to weigh my hair down too much. Now, make no mistake...it won't make any permanent or even lasting improvements to your hair. Hair is DEAD PROTEIN so no product will "improve the health of your hair". This oil does give the look of healthier hair and makes it feel ridiculously soft so it's good in my book :)

Received as a deluxe sample from Birchbox. The smell is divine. My hair and skin absorbed this oil well. Just too pricey for me...sticking with argan oil for now.

This is a lovely oil. I use it mainly on my hair and face. It's wonderful on my body too but it's a little too expensive to use it on a regular basis for that. It makes my face soft and glowy, and my hair soft, smooth, and super shiny. I can use quite a bit in my hair without it getting greasy, but I have thick, dry hair. It's a lot more moisturizing than you typical silicone based 'oils', like Moroccanoil (although I love Moroccanoil for smoothness, shine, and heat protection, it isn't actually going to improve the health of your hair like pure oils will). The orange blossom-almond scent is really nice too, and not strong.

After reading some positive reviews, I splashed out on a 100ml bottle. I so wanted to love this, but it's not meant to be...
So, I have been using it only on my body, not face or hair. As a previous poster said, I get the feeling it just sits on the skin, without being really absorbed. At first my my skin feels softer, but the next day there isn't really a difference - unlike some other oils (not dry) that I have tried.
On the plus side, it smells lovely!
I will keep this bottle and use it, but once it is done, I will not repurchase.
Update (18/05/2013): I still feel this is not really moisturising on my body (I use it more as a scented lotion, it smells divine). However, I tried a tiny bit on my tangled hair and it was excellent, smoothing the ends and making it altogether fluffier. I basically spritzed a bit in my hands, rubbed them and combed the ends of my hair with my fingers. I accidentally put a bit near the roots and there the hair felt heavier/greasier than I would have liked. Another time, I used a rather generous amount (several spritzes) on dry hair about half an hour before ashing it. After shampooing it (3 times, I had put that much on!) my hair felt much softer and looked shinier. All in all, it's great on hair.

I apply this to my legs after shaving and find it moisturises well without leaving an oily residue. I like the ritual of it. Other than that I use HP mainly for the scent, which is terrific: soothing, summery and relaxing. Great as a bedtime scent in the summer, unless it is a really hot night (in which case you probably won't want anything). Wonderful!

Had no idea what this was as the language is in french on the sample.. I threw it on my face (yeah, I know) not knowing if that was what the use was for and the next day my skin looked and felt amazing.. Been using sparingly for the last few days at night over my Lancome serum and I love this stuff... My skin in general looks better and my makeup application looks better the next day... I purchased my first bottle today and can't wait to get it... I don't find it THAT expensive compared to most high end brands.. I truly have enjoyed using the sample and look forward to making this a staple in my skin care routine at night! :-)

My BF swears by it - he puts it all over his tanned strong body , shaved head and face ( normal to dry face) - i tried on my fair skin face and body and looked oily and dirty - then got pimples so its a big NO for me and a big YES for him - saying that i do use it on my eye area when i run out of eye cream as it is rich enough - but i dont find that absorbing and hate the oil feeling except on my man ! : )

This is not really moisturizing enough for my skin (body or face) but I like to use it on the ends of my hair. The smell is beautiful. While a glass bottle is great for the product, it would be better if the bottle came with a different type of "dispenser" I think.

Actual rating should be 3.5. I only tried this recently as I received a sample of it from the local sample box system. I still have yet to try this on my face and body because I am still quite skeptical but will try it one day. And I have never tried dry oil at all so I'm still on the fence.
I have used this on my hair because my hair was feeling a little parched from the blowdrying I did and so I washed my hair and used a few drops on the ends of my hair while it was still damp and let it air dry. This smells absolutely amazing and not really that perfumey like people said. I could still pick up the nutty smell in this and this makes my hair smells lovely. However, I do have an oily scalp and fine hair so I can't use this too often as it weighs down my hair and makes it even greasier. I will use it as a leave-in treatment before or after blowdrying(depends on how I want it) or a treatment before I straighten my hair which makes my hair really soft but still styled.
I won't be repurchasing because I think that sample can last me quite a while as I won't be using it everyday due to it being over-indulging. I may come in and edit my review once I tried it on my body and face plus reworking it with my hair.

I got a sample of this product from a local beauty box. I love it! The smell is good without being overpowering and my skin is softer without being oily or icky. I'd choose this over body butter from now on. I also use this when I take a long bath in the tub. Just a few drops and it works wonders. The softness of my skin lasts long.
