I had given up on tinted moisturizers in the past because all of the ones I've tried (a range of both drugstore brands and more high-end brands) just didn't do me right. Either the color would be off or the texture and consistency would be off. I'd resigned myself to just making my own by mixing foundation with moisturizer, which works really well, but adds an extra step in the morning. With hot, humid weather a-coming I decided to try a couple more products to see if I like them. This one's a winner!

I really prefer a more sheer, natural look with my makeup and just want something that evens out redness. Then I spot concealer over any trouble spots. This tinted moisturizer is *perfect* for that. I am light with yellow undertones and use the "Fair" shade. (I've never been officially matched at MAC but based on my other foundation matches I believe I am an NC20).

What I really like about this is the consistency. It has a very smooth, creamy consistency and it soaks right into my skin. I have tried TMs in the past that didn't soak in and it looked like I just had pigment caked on top of my skin - did not happen with this at all! It blends right in and looks natural. I do have dry skin, though, and I never trust the SPF in makeup products, so I do put on a higher SPF moisturizer before applying this. I give it a few minutes to soak in and then put this on.

The coverage is also nice. It is enough coverage to even out most of my redness, but sheer enough to look natural. It is not at all cakey and doesn't cake into/accentuate my dry skin patches. Another thing I like is that I have a couple of beauty marks (aka moles) that I don't like to cover, and they peek through this TM just fine. I also found it to be SLIGHTLY buildable... Yesterday I put a second, thin layer of it over my cheeks because there was some extra redness and it really toned it down without caking. There is a mild amount of shine left after application, but I find that almost all makeup products do that to me. I allow the TM to soak in/set for a few minutes while I do my hair or whatever, then just set my makeup with a very light dusting of NYX HD studio finishing powder and problem solved.

In terms of the color it suits me very well, though I think Fair (the lightest color) would be too dark for anyone lighter than me. It did not oxidize on me and turn orange, though since my skin is not oily I typically don't have a problem with this. If things *do* oxidize on you, this could do so just as much as any other foundation product.

I like the way the packaging looks on my vanity with my other makeup products. The only problem with the packaging is that it is easy to dispense too much which is wasteful. But honestly at $8-12 for 1.7 oz, it is so affordable I don't care. I was considering purchasing a $40 TM before I found this baby. You also can't really see how much product is left, but again, at the affordable price I could just keep a backup tube in stock.

I haven't noticed any breakouts or adverse affects yet, so I will update if that occurs. I also have only worn it for ~6 hours at the longest. It lasted well for that time, but I will update on how long it lasts when I wear it longer.

I like to top the look off with a little pop of blush, some tightliner and mascara and I'm good to go for the day!

This is the best tinted moisturizer ever. It's just the right amount of coverage to wear underneath loose powder or wear alone to the gym. Feel like its my little secret

I like the coverage and it is a good moisturizer.

The reason why it gets a 3 (the 3.5 aggregate rating is spot on for me actually) is their shade selection is too limited. I'm NC15 and fair is two shades too dark for me, so I have to mix in my Physicians Formula Conceal RX in with it so that it matches my skin. When I do that, it's almost perfect. It's just annoying because I hate using so much concealer, and also diluting it with the concealer can tend to make it less moisturizing so I have to put on a little moisturizer first. PLEASE MAKE A LIGHTER SHADE!!!

Really like this for everyday--light to medium coverage, color blends in nicely, fairly matte finish, not excessively dewy. Can't beat the price, and the tube is very practical. Doesn't irritate my dry skin, which I attribute to the fact that it doesn't appear to contain anti-aging ingredients.

Delivers what it promises. Not much shine at the end of the day, light coverage, smooth texture, and hydrating, I love that the medium is a good colour match, and that it has SPF15. Will repurchase if I run out.

I am a big fan of tinted moisturizers and their modern counterpart, BB creams. This is my favorite tinted moisturizer under $15. I grab this for about $12 at my local Target.

This can feel a bit heavy if you use it in addition to your regular moisturizers. It works just fine over an oil free moisturizer. I use Kiehl's Facial Fuel and swear by it. I also wouldn't recommend this for anyone who is extremely oily.

I have combination skin with slight oil in my t zone. I like how this glides on smooth, leaving your skin soft, and covering up minor imperfections from breakouts or lack of sleep. Brightens up my skin when it's looking dull in the winter. Bonus points to this product for including a mineral based sunscreen.

It blends into my fair skin perfectly and the price is right. It's a nice purchase to get you through those months when you need to tighten your budget up a bit.

Trying this out, new to tinted moisturizers, new to Boots. The Boots sales guy got me as I was walking around with Sonia Kashuk TM in my hands.

I am liking it. If there was a maybe for 'buy again', I might have clicked that. Ideally I would like to have mattifier built in, but I don't think this product makes me look any more or less oily than anything else after 6 hours, and I've used Murad mattifier with UD De-Slick under this and under UD Naked Skin foundation.

It does a great job of evening out and making skin look velvety but natural and fresh. I would use it for summer daytime / easy travel, but I would still need my oil blotting papers and mattifying pressed powder.

The price is ok and can beat some drugstore BB's by a couple of bucks.

I have the light and it blends into my medium-light tan ruddy skin very well.

I have this in fair which is a decent match for my fair-medium nc25 skin tone. I love that it is primarily a mineral sunscreen but it just feels so heavy (most mineral sunscreens do though). It just didn't impress me. It has a fair amount of coverage for a tinted moisturizer so its ok there. It doesn't have a strong scent, it didn't look bad (but didn't look great either)
It's just there. Like a parked car. I'll pass next time.

Just purchased the No 7 Boots TM in Fair and the color blended nicely with my cool skin tone. It also applies smoothly onto my mature, normal to dry skin leaving a soft finish with very light coverage. I emphasize that this product is definitely for those who have dry skin -- so if you are oily, avoid and try the Stilla TM.

Update 9/4/12: I have dry skin and I think this product may be slightly clogging my pores and causing bumps on my mature skin.

I was looking for a good tinted moisturiser when my Clinique one was just too dark for my skintone. I picked this up for $7 (on sale) at my local drugstore hoping it would be my new HG for the summer. I love the coverage - its light but covers up my imperfections and evened out my skintone. It also felt light on my skin and blended fairly well so I had high hopes! By mid day (applying it at 7:30AM) my face was a total greaseball - shiny and oily. By mid evening the product looked like it completely vanished from my face (and it must have because when I removed my makeup off at night the cleansing wipe had no visible signs of foundation).

After a few days of wearing it I started to break out around my chin & forehead into these huge painful pimples. I tried applying it with a brush thinking it was the oil from my fingers causing my breakouts but the same thing happened. I went back to my regular Revlon Colourstay foundation and my face completely cleared up within a week.

I guess its time for me to try something else. If anyone has any suggestions for a tinted moisturiser for oily skin please send a message to my inbox! I definitely won't repurchase this product again

I do enjoy this tinted moisturizer. I use it for those days when I really don't have a lot to cover, and I am not doing anything special. I apply this with my real technique's stippling brush, then set it with my Neutrogena Mineral Sheers foundation (these two products look really nice together). However, It doesn't provide the coverage I need. I was hoping for more of a "light" coverage, but this is (as it claims to be, so I guess I shouldn't complain) a "sheer" coverage TM. I still like it though, because its light and makes my skin feel so soft! PLUS it has SPF.

This is my first review after reading reviews for years. More over 50 women need to be represented so here I am. Since Paula B. recommended it, I thought I'd give it a try and I didn't hate it. It was almost ok but I realize I need more coverage at this stage in my life. It looks nice when first on, but doesn't last. The coverage is very light so if you are young and have nice skin on the dry side I say try it.

Oof. Not a fan of this. I normally wear foundation, but wanted to start wearing less makeup and do the "less is more" approach. I started by switching over to a tinted moisturizer. This is my very first one I tried. The packaging is actually nice. Nothing fancy by any means, but it's a squeeze bottle, easy peasy. Works for me just fine. I got this TM in Medium and the color seemed to work and blend perfectly for me. I applied over a primer and it went on pretty nicely. I noticed immediately that it felt a little heavy but I didn't reallly feel too bothered by it. I put on a little cream blush and was off to work. By 10:00 I still had that heavy feeling, but noticed that most of it had worn off but I had orange blotches sporactically around my hairline and on my cheeks. Very random and weird. And it looked awful. I tried to fix it and clean it up as best I could at work, but honestly, my face looked really bad for the rest of the day. I couldn't wait to wash it off. When it's first applied, it looks pretty nice. Not a lot of coverage but evens things out a little bit. Over time, it just does not look very good. (At least for me, it didn't.) I hate to give anything a bad review, honestly, but this just was a waste of money for me. Not recommended, unfortunately.

I have dry, sensitive skin and although I don't have acne-prone skin (I get the occasional pimple here and there), I wanted to start using tinted moisturizers instead of foundation because they're supposed to be less likely to cause breakouts. I love Boots products and I really like this one, but I can't give it more than three stars because it broke me out. I've been using it for a little over a month and like I said, I usually don't have a big problem with acne. It wasn't immediate, but within a couple weeks I noticed I was getting an unusual amount of pimples here and there. This is the only new product I've been using lately so I'm going to stop use and hopefully that will clear me up.
But, aside from breaking out, I really like this product. It provides light coverage that I love. It doesn't cover me up so much that it evens out my skin tone. The SPF is a plus as well. There's no bad smell and it moisturizes nicely, but for someone like me with dry skin you really should use a regular moisturizer beforehand because, like any foundation, this stuff with accentuate dry skin. I find that if there's a spot where my dry skin managed to pass both lines of moisturizer, a little bit of my finishing powder blends it very nicely. Also, this stuff does tend to wipe off easily until it sets properly. I speed things up by setting it with my finishing powder. Lasts for awhile without needing any touchups. I do notice a little shine in my T-zone after a few hours if I wear this stuff without my finishing powder.
I checked the ingredients and noticed Methylparaben and mineral oil, both have been known to cause acne. While I wish I had checked the ingredients beforehand, I don't regret buying it and will keep this product. I'll probably just use is less.
Keep in mind as well that there are only two shades of this stuff, fair and medium.

Boots in general is an amazing skincare and makeup line. I think they are more prodigeous with skincare as opposed to color, but their makeup is nothing to sneer at either. It's just their color line is not as vast as their skincare, which probably has twice the amount of products. There are Boots free standing stores in England and in London there are lines to get into them! That's because it's the quality of high end/prestige brands normally found only in department/Sephora stores at down to earth prices (they are sold here in Target) and there is usually a Boots specialist working on the weekends minimally; something not usually found in a drugstore/Walmart/Target. I reviewed Cliniques tinted moisturizer elsewhere here and determined it came down on the side of foundation (as per it's coverage) vs. tinted moisturizer. This Boots product is the opposite. It is very sheer. A man could use this and the sheerness and finely ground pigments would not give it away. It always looks like skin. The colors are extremely limited (I think there are 3 shades: fair, medium and dark.) They can get away with it due to how lightweight in color/coverage and texture it is. There is an SPF of 15 built in. It's for all skin types, though it is a light weight in moisture as well. You'll never get greasy/oily from this. Good skin looks GREAT. Average skin looks GOOD. There is definitely a refinig quality to it and because Boots is a skincare line as well they don't skimp on the quality of ingredients. This is a no brainer: It's a lightly tinted, lightly moisturizing, skin nurturing/protective product that walks the fine line of makeup and skincare perfectly and at an inexpensive pricepoint. Buy this. You won't be disappointed! I LOVE it!!!I LOVE everything about Boots. If you've never seen/bought it you're in for a real treat.

I bought this in 02-Fair and I am NC25 in MAC. This is the perfect product for the winter because I can cake this on and it doesn't look cakey. It lasts relativity well throughout the day but it's not really the ideal tinted moisturizer I'm looking for. I will use this but will no be repurchasing.

Normally I like boots No7 products, but not this time.
I purchased the medium shade tinted moisturizer...it is very orange. The SPF is 15, which I've used before but for some reason this made my skin very dry - almost like an orange peel.

I wish I kept the box to return it, as I only used it twice. It didn't work out for me: I have sensitive, acne prone skin that I use a prescription for. If you have a similar back ground you may want to reconsider purchasing

Great product!! I was in search for a great tinited moisturizer and I stumbled upon this product! If you want coverage, this (as well as most tinted moisturizers) doesn't cover dark spots or acne marks but if you use the Boots No7 Concealer after applying this then it looks like you're wearing foundation! The finished result is sheer and natural-looking and overal very beautiful! It's lightweight and for the price, there is a lot of product! I also found out by the nice woman who sold it to me that none of the ingredients are harsh on the skin, which is great to know(:
Buy it!

I love this tinted moisturizer so much! It's really easy to blend, it actually moisturizes, and it doesn't smell like sunscreen! I only use a small amount and it literally covers up my whole face. This is my go to product when I don't feel like wearing any make-up or don't have much to conceal. The only downside is the color choices. Fortunately, the medium fits me to the T. The only downside is the packaging. Since the moisturizer is a little runny, I sometimes squeeze more out than I need to. I would only recommend this product to those from combination to dry skin. If you have oily skin you may want to think twice about this product because it can make you look shiny. But besides that this is great! I only use this, concealer, and powder and I'm set!
