I bought this polish a while ago and haven’t really worn it much, the formula seemed to be quite sheer and it needed a lot of coats to become opaque, but I was feeling girly and thought I would give this one another shot. Pink Voltage by China Glaze is a matte neon pink with a slight pearl shimmer. It took four coats to be completely opaque but the drying times for in between coats is super fast! I’m glad I have this polish another go as I am loving neon colours at the moment.

I was craving a bright neon pink nail polish that doesn't look too cheap like those you see in a $2 shop.
Pink Voltage satisfied my cravings! It is super bright yet stylish. I would describe it as neon pink with pink pearl and matte finish.
I've pained my toe nails with it and couldn't stop staring at them. Even my BF complemented me on my choice on nail polish and he normally doesn't day anything. I normally wear neutral colours so it adds fun to my look without looking tacky.
I didn't have any problems with formula. All my matte nail polishes tend to chip easily, however this one lasted longer then most. Three coats gave me decent opacity. Tip: if you have trouble achieving opacity with neon shades try painting your nails white first, it is going to make neons even brighter!

This is SUCH an amazing color, super bright electric pink - but as most reviewers have said, it takes 4 coats + a topcoat to look good, and then it chips in less than 2 days. Very disappointed with the quality, I wore this out to the cottage last weekend and by Saturday afternoon my whole pointer finger had chipped off and most tips of the other fingers had too!! I was left with gross looking chipped fingers for the rest of the weekend. Sigh. I use a good topcoat (seche vite) so it's definitley the polish's fault. Too bad because it is a fabulous color!

Such a wonderful bright pink! It's kinda streaky so it took four coats to be opaque but it was soooo worth it!
It dried matte but it doesn't matter cause I always add top coat.

This is similar to CGs Neon Shocking Pink but this one seems to have more of a blue undertoned/shimmers. I found both to dry matte and both to be a little sheer, needing 4 coats and a top coat to look proper. I love the colour and got many questions and compliments when I wore either but would not repurhcase as I find it too easily chipped.

Though I don't like this color for myself (not sure why I bought it but I've had it a long time and never bought anymore China Glaze polishes), this is a great polish. The color is a very hot fuschia pink with blue undertones, and someone else said. It is liquidy but still potent, and it does last a nice long time. User friendly. I will venture out into more shades of China Glaze.

Really pretty hot pink with purple/blue undertones. I have to apply 4 coats and a shiney top coat to love it though(like I have to do with every CG neon I own). I honestly wouldn't buy it again because I find Orly, Essie, and OPI are easier to apply and last longer without chipping. I think China Glaze is a good brand to use when your going to change your polish every 2 days. I can never get it to last longer without chipping.

I am quite disappointed with China Glaze nailpolishes. Most people compare them to OPI in terms of quality, but I honestly don't think they are as good. China Glaze has an awesome variety of colors - particularly the neon shades. They are really bright and attention grabbing. When I purchase a neon shade, I don't expect it to dry super shiny or last super long, I just expect opaque neon color. It is really disappointing to put on a neon shade and have it as sheer as a French manicure shade of pink! Now with all of that being said, this color is amazing BUT it requires many layers of it, in order to get the bright color. The only great thing about this is that it dries super fast so by the time you are finished painting all of your finger nails on one hand, you can redo them all over again because they'll be dry. To be honest this polish requires about 5 coats in order to look opaque. The problem with so many coats is that it may sometimes look streaky. But since the color is so amazing in the end, it's worth it. I just wish China Glaze polishes would be as opaque as the neon colors by Color Club. This polish lasted about 5 days (I had a Sally Hansen top coat over it). A top coat is a must since this dries very matte. I would repurchase this only because the color is really pretty, however if I found the same shade that was actually opaque and didn't require so many coats, then I wouldn't repurchase this.

Oh my gosh! I am in love with this color. This is the PERFECT pink. A barbie pink with a slight blue/purple undertones. It dries matte, but with Seche Vitte over the top of it, it is just gorgeous. Out of my 130+ nail polishes, this is definitely my most worn. It goes on like a dream. It lasts 5-7 days even without a basecoat. This is a must have. Go pick it up. Thank you China Glaze.

I love this pollish. I feel like Barbie when I wear it and I <3 that lol. It's a neon hot pink with the prettiest subtle blue/purple flash. I have CG's Neon Shocking Pink also and def prefer Pink Voltage.

This was my first China Glaze polish. I'm glad that some people commented on the matte finish because I was wondering if it was a China Glaze "thing". Glad to know it's not. ;) With that out of the way, I love this color on, it looks great. Really bright with just a hint of blue. I took off one star because it takes at least 3 coats to get it on evenly and without streaks. I did use a topcoat and it looked great. I usually reserve my really bright or dark colors for toes (my polish on my hands chips like crazy at work) and this looks awesome on them!

Such a gorgeous hot pink! I've been on the lookout for the perfect one and this is it. I had one I bought while I was in Korea a while back, I don't know the brand, but I love this one way more. The blue flash really adds depth to the colour. The formula was typical for neon, three coats being perfect and flowing decently onto the nail.
Those of you complaining that it dries matte, sorry to break it to you, but that's how neon colours are. Something about neon pigment causes it to dry as such. You're not going to find a neon pink or neon anything for that matter that dries shiny, so suck it up and use a top coat...we should all be using them anyway ;)

This color is fantastic! I get so many compliments on my nails when I'm wearing it. This color needs about three coats but it dries super fast. When I first put this on, I was really dissapointed because looks dull when it dries and it didn't look pretty and shiny like it did in the bottle. Then I used seche vite top coat and WOW, it transformed into my new favorite color. :) I love love love this color now.

Nice neon pink. I like it with OPI Princesses Rule! over. It is also very pretty and flatters my skin tone (especially in the summer when I have a tan). I would not repurchase because for me it chips quickly, has mediocre application (3 coats) and is not terribly unique.

This has got to be the best neon pink I've ever seen! It's so unique and bright. It does take about 3 coats to really get that vibrant color though (4 if you've never worked with streaky polish before). And it does chip very easily, but most all China Glaze colors do anyway. You can reduce the chipping by not applying it right to the sides of the nail though. Just leave a tiny space, it really does help!

I saw kim kardashian wearing this amazing hot pink colour and it looked so good! I wanted to find a colour just like that, firstly i found one by illamasqua called collide it dries matt but a topcoat of clear gloss can be applied and it looked great i thought it was pretty similar to the kardashian colour instore but when i went out and got home it didnt really look anything like what she had, its a very difficult pink shade to get right as its such a specific colour of pink, I was at my sallys the other day and happened to see this and thought this could be the one? when i got home and compared this bottle to my illamasqua collide and i realised they were the same shade and i thought damn it i just wasted money on the exact same colour i allready have but wierdly when i put this on it came out way more pink (bright bit deeper bubblegum pink) whereas the illamasqua was leaning more towards red (similer to mac impassioned lipstick)... i actually think this is the colour kim.k uses as when i saw it on her it was exactly identical to chinaglaze's pink voltage..
As for application you cant allways be so fussy, its a greatttt colour such a difficult colour to find so doing a extra coat or two is no big deal for anything to be done perfectly you have to have patience i apply this and it dried to fast i wait a minute or two and then reapply again.. just like illamasqua this needs a clear shiny topcoat..
Its worth it because the colour is amazing!
would recommend to all..
