This lip buffer is great on-the-go.
Just add a small drop on your finger and buff away. The smell of peppermint is great. The product does a good job at moisturizing your lips.
However, the beads that buff away your dead skin remain on your lips until you use a paper towel to wipe them off. You'll end up wiping some of the lip balm away too.
In the end, you get the result that you want: smooth, soft lips.
This is great for pre-lipstick applications. Buff, wipe, use foundation to set, apply lip-stick, and SMILE.

during the winter months i usually have dry lips no matter how much chapstick and lip gloss i apply..this buffer is great..it exfoliates the lips and gets rid of the dryness and chapping. then you can apply your lip gloss and you're good! great stuff, would repurchase.

This is the best lip buffer ever! My lips are normally very chapped, dry and flaky but this lip product made my lips so soft it is unbelievable! It really does feel like a sugar scrub like the others have said. There is a grainy texture and a minty taste to it but not too overpowering. You don't really need to apply any lip balm after the scrub because it is already moisturizing. Just apply your lipstick or gloss or whatever afterwards and it should be fine. My only complaint I have is that the grains don't wipe off easily probably because it has a lot of moisturizers in it, it has kind of like a petroleum feel to it. Also, a little does a lot, I would say a little smaller than pea size would do it. The price is also a steal, I bought it at Bath & Body Works this week on sale for only $5.00! Definitely a must buy if you have dry, chapped, flaky lips!!

I've been looking for an affordable, effective lip buffer, and C.O. Bigelow wins! It leaves my lips feeling smooth, and it does have a pleasant taste if you accidentally leave some on your lips. It is pepperminty, but it doesn't leave you with the typical peppermint tingle. (I don't mind the tingle, but I know some people's lips are very sensitive. To set your mind at ease, peppermint oil is the next-to-last ingredient.)
It has a lot of moisturizing ingredients: grape seed oil, jojoba, shea butter, cocoa seed butter, mango seed butter, and avocado oil. I rarely use lip balm after it, unless I won't be applying any lipstick.
A previous reviwer compared it to a sugar scrub. That's really what it is (it contains sucrose)-but much, much gentler than a body scrub. If your lips are very chapped, though, I would use a good lip balm first and wait a while before buffing.

I had the same experience as the last reviewer. I bought the Benefit one first and wasn't impressed. Then I found the C. O. Bigelow one. This one is much more tasty. It's like a sugar scrub for your lips!

I really like this lip buffer. I used to have Dr FeelGood's Buffer and Balm and was completely unimpressed with it so I swapped it. I like this buffer much much better. It exfoliates the lips very nicely. It also has a yummy peppermint scent. My lips feel very soft after I use this.
