I like this product because lip balms and glosses tend to bleed on me, and this one stays put. I don't think of it as much of a plumper. My lips seem fuller when I use it, but only to the point of being fully moisturized. It takes away all the lip shriveling dehydration and lasts for quite a while, but doesn't make my lips seem any fuller than a deep moisturizing treatment. It definitely serves a purpose for me so I'll keep using it unless I find something better. I do hate that the lids always crack and fall off right away. I can't carry this around with me.

I really dont understand what is the purpose of this product. It is a simple lip liner, that's it.No plumping,a bit dry and too thick for liner.I bought it one year ago and it is still almost new.

I purchased this product in Flush and Glam for a few dollars on HauteLook. I probably wouldn't have bought it at full price.
Flush is more of a neutral mauve color, whereas Glam is a blue toned red. I saw that another reviewer found that it looked like a bright fuchsia when applied, my experience was that it was more of a berry color.
I really like both for ease of application and the potential to use them as liners or more of a lipstick base. I didn't feel any plumping effects but didn't really mind.

I bought this from Ebay, so I guess I can't really have an opinion about the price (although I think its way too expensive if you buy it from Sephora).
I have the color 'flush' I think - its a special color, not really red or brown but imbetween, a little darker than my own lips. Its a soft creamy pencil that feels way nicer than a normal lipstick although its not very long lasting.
I would totally buy it again on Ebay, but not for the full price in Sephora I think because it did not much plumping like it promised.

Since i loved the way the original gloss really pumped up my lips, but i didn't like the shiny gloss finish of it, i thought i try the lippencil...not impressed.
It starts as any other lippencil, but after a while your lips get dryer and dryer...and instead of plumping them, my lips feel sticky dry (not soft dry!)
I bought it in 2 shades, Buff, which was too light for me and a berry kind of colour (don;t remember the exact colour) which i still use sometimes, since i paid around 25 dollars each, but often realise after a while why i did not like them..
Would not recommend!

Well, I didn't expect any plumping from a lip pencil, but I did expect it to at least be close to the color of the business end....I bought this product in Glam, which looked mainly red with a little cerise....but on me it is pink, pink, PINK!! Not even close. Lip pencils tend to be a little lighter on me than they look in the package, so I was expecting that, but not the semi-flourescent, shocking fuschia pink that I got. I have full lips, and the effect is just a little too dramatic for my taste. The consistency of the pencil is also very dry and draggy-I have to pass it quickly through a flame to soften it up enough so that it doesn't pull my skin all over the place while being applied. Don't think I'll be going back to this one.

This was the worst lip liner I've ever used. I got it as a free bonus with my Lipfusion gloss (which was crap as well). It's bulky, dry, and no color payoff at all. Not to mention it didn't plump. I had it in nude and it looked pink on me.

This product does not plump... but come on, if you expect plumping from a pencil, you deserve to be disappointed. Shame on the company for trying to sell an ordinary lip pencil by claiming it plumps.
However, I do LOVE the color. I have this in Flush and it looks great with my NW25 skin.
In all fairness, I got this lip pencil for a penny when I purchased the lip plumper gloss. However, I don't think I'll be repurchasing this at the full price simply because there are other equally as good lip pencils out there for less $$. I LOVE my NARS lip pencils and you can't beat the NYX pencils for affordability. If I can find another deal for a penny, game on!

Dry texture and ugly colour. Would not buy again and it does not plump. A reviewer finds it difficult to understand why other reviewers would state the product does not plump. Well, hardly difficult to understand when this item is marketed as (from Sephora):
"A revolutionary lip liner that shapes, defines, and really plumps! LipFusion harnesses the clinically proven plumping and hydrating powers of new, patented, marine collagen-filling spheres to create a beautiful, full-out pout. Each application delivers revolutionary collagen that has been dehydrated in order to be absorbed and then re-plumped with lip's natural water for instant plumping. Lips are more defined and lip contours are enhanced for naturally luscious, full, kissable lips. "
Not hard to understand why someone might expect a little plump...

it's sort of ludicrous to think a pencil would ever plump your lips. sorry if that sounds rude, but the only thing that will plump your lips is lip injections. nude colors may create a fuller look, but thats all. i bought this because i received a ton of compliments on my lips after using the Fusion Plump and Re-plump, and wanted a product in the same line to use as a full color underneath, and act as a "bonder". i am very happy with this pencil's performance for that purpose. in terms of plumping, lips do look a little fuller and lines are smoother, but the difference is subtle and short temporary. i would recommend the combo of this and their liquid lipstick, or lipgloss, on top.

Firstly, I have to say that I got this in a mystery grab bag from The Shopping Channel - the grab bag was super cheap (under 10.00) and filled with lots of items. I was pleased when I discovered the Lip Fusion pencil in Pout... that is until I tried it.
The consistency is awful, dry and it tugged my lips when I applied it. The colour was also terrible a matte brick red. There was absolutely no plumping. I'm not sure if I got an old one (maybe they were clearing out old stock). Editing to add: The longer I wore this the dryer my lips became - ugh. I can't recommend this one.

I have been very lucky to receive this in a swap from a generous lady. The pencil does not have the shade on it but after checking the website I reckon it is in Buff. The colour is a pinkish brown nude in the pencil but on me shows up more as a opaque pinky-brown. The texture is very smooth and you can colour the whole lip with this pencil. Pigmented and easy to apply, pity though it does not have any plumping effect to this. I use the LipFusion Plumpers and have better results than the pencil. Maybe will try them together and do an update!

I got this from ebay along with the fusion lip gloss.i agree, it's more of a lipstick than a pencil, it has staying power, nice matte color, but doesn't really plump and it's kinda pricey. so i won't be getting this again

Too bad because I love the color "Buff" but to sharpen this pencil is impossible without the whole thing breaking....I just bought it & it's a little nub already.. SO dry on your lips but paired with Bare Minerals Lip Gloss it looked great but I can't see buying it again....

I wish they have a "maybe" in the would you buy again. But, I said yes. I have this in Pout which is a gorgeous color. I'm always looking for a my-lips-but-darker/brighter color and this is it. It doesn't plump at all but the colors in this series are all really pretty and the lasting power and texture are good (i.e. not very drying). And, as others have already said, this is more of a matte lip stick in a pencil form rather than a lip liner, IMO. The other thing is that at $28-$32 per liner, the price is high especially since it doesn't do anything in terms of plumping my lips. I got a great deal on ebay - something like $10 or so.

I had a couple of these. I liked the consistency and the colors. I had nude and some dark color that I believe is discontnued.
My biggest complaint is that they did nothing to plump my lips. Worse, was that they seemed to block what plumping the Lipfusion gloss could do.
If you're looking for a fat, creamy pencil, then this is the product for you.
I didn't have the problem that others had with dry lips.

Atleast 4 repurchases for the buff shade alone. It is a nice matte lipstick in a pencil. Wears well. With the fusion gloss ontop my lips are just so out there that its crazy!!!! I'm 45, it makes my lips smooth, moist and big and does not feather. This pencil is not a liner, it is a semi matte plumping lipstick with concentrated colour meant to fill in the entire lip. It is also thick and opaque enough to go around and enlarge the edges of your lips. My favourite shade is Pout, this is an absolutely gorgeous deep nude colour. The gloss goes well over this product and it stays on all day. It's one of the most amazing products ever! I'm usually totally a NARS gal, but I am totally in love with this pencil!!!

I bought this product in the colour GLAM. It is described as a soft fushia colour that would make your teeth appear whiter. The colour is a bright fushia that only a hooker or clown would wear. The pencil is okay, I don't see the "lip plumping effect" It actually dried out my lips. I am terribly disappointed and it's going back to TSC.

I like this pencil. I have it in two colors - Flush and Nude. Flush is my favorite since it brightens up my face. I don't see a lot of plumping but I never do with "Plumping" products. Goes on smoothly. Not a lip liner more of a lipstick. Too expensive for a simple lipstick.
